Eddie Diaz is a highly skilled master poisoner. His shelves are adorned with Siren’s Tears, Belladonna, Arsenic, Aconite, and everything else he needs to kill humans and magical beings.

Evan Buckley is a trained detective with a double life. He works for an association that wants to unveil the secrets of the powerful sorcerers that rule the Kingdom, while being a Nymph himself.

Eddie is sent to poison Evan for turning over too many stones, some that could be detrimental for his Grove.

While on his mission, Eddie discovers Evan’s secret, and decides to stay hidden.

As the days go by, Eddie can’t help but to feel attracted to Evan’s aura, falling somehow in love with the man he was sent to kill.

The Leader of the Grove grows impatient, and decides to poison Evan himself.

Eddie must choose between saving the man he loves with an antidote only he can create, or being loyal to the men and women who saved him after his parents died.
