The Pandemic Isn't Over Just Because We're Over It

I need to test again tomorrow, but I'm dodging the closest call yet so far.

Feeling very thankful that I asked about mitigations, and that an outdoor table was provided. So far two people at said table have popped positive. (And I'm fairly sure I also would have been sitting with them had I not asked and been sat indoors.)

This shit is not over.

Test before events, stay home if you don't feel well. If you're going out places, try and plan days between where you stay home in the event you picked up a hitchhiker.

If you decide to stop being cautious, at least remember that when you're around other people, you've also made that choice for them.

If you're hosting, be CLEAR about what kind of outdoor space will be available. If you're not making sure outdoor space is available, you're waiving that risk assessment for your entire guestlist.

AIR QUALITY BAD

Hey kids, a bunch of North America is on fire again, and the air quality in the places catching the smoke from weather patterns is somewhere between gangrenous and dogshit.

Please wear a mask when you're outside! (You should still be wearing them inside, but I can only say that so many times. Just kidding, I'm gonna keep saying it.)

If the air in your living space is getting smoky, see if you have the materials or can get them for a Corsi-Rosenthal Box!

NYC had literally the worst air quality on the planet yesterday.

I am heading up to NY, and I cannot express how upsetting it is how few people are wearing masks.

Covid's still happening, this year's flu is supposed to be real bad, and RSV is sending kids to the hospital in droves.

Why why why would you choose NOT to wear a mask?
