So I know we’re all pleased as punch to see the Porter reveal for fig but you know what else stuck out to me?

During the asteroid scene, Zara pointed out that Fig had an out to leave the Bad Kids coming up soon, in a way that wouldn’t fuck the party over. That Fig could go be with Aida after the school year and it wouldn’t fail anyone, wouldn’t ruin Riz being able to get a scholarship.

Brennan laid out, if not plainly, that Emily could retire Fig now, that she could come back with someone new and Fig and Ayda can go off on grand adventures with no guilt and no harm to the Bad Kids. He could see that the one bone that Fig had been chewing and worrying at for the entire campaign was about to crack and finally break open and he offered her the out she had already discussed with him.

I just find the timing interesting
