Trying to make my brain do anything today has just been case after case of 'well, half-assed is better than nothing I guess.'

#text post #idk why i have such bad post-survey mental dips every time but I always do #literally last night before end of my shift was like okay brain. it's ok that we aren't working after this. this is fine. #there's another survey in two weeks (for ONCE they told us in advance) and in the in between other things I can do to keep making some mone #and I felt really confident abt that at that point! wish that confidence hadn't been so misplaced bc I did in fact spiral #was actually exhausted enough to just eat shower and sleep after work but the shower was just a big spiral w/crying and scrubbing lmao #whatever. did a mini vid in the new outfit i have for the side job and will do dishes tonight #plus I'll get my shot done bc that's a day late now too #prolific and cloud i got a bit done too and i'll keep checking those thru the night #i actually wanna play gta for a bit & try it with the controller but i feel guilty every time i so much as look at steam so. we'll see #i just need to do something else useful today bc tomorrow will be a full filming day most likely so. gotta make today useful too #I know it must sound like im not really trying to work with my brain on this but i shit u not #this is my brain when im actively employing coping skills and other things to try and counteract the 'work or die' mindset #i dont know how to make it any better and at this point I don't think I can #this was baked into me as a kid lmao bc even playing needed to have a point/story/some goal to achieve #or why the fuck was i playing with my barbies or metal toy cars or dinosaur and horse figurines to begin with #im rambling to put off doing the dishes ignore me lmao

I've seen around for some time people using a website called Obsidian for DnD and apparently what cool about it is that you can make diagrams between information and notes sort of like Wikipedia that everything is linked and you can click on the different info??

and I thought you might wanna find it interesting to look at? (I've tried the website bc some people compare it to Notion and I love Notion as you know and it's been a bit hard to get used to it, but I guess that for people with a lot of character and info it might work better)

I'm doing pretty good! I'm actually in 2 dnd games now, so that's kind of fun. I have to go back to school in a few weeks, which is... not great. But you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess. I haven't done, like, any writing in months, but ehh, it's fine, right?? I wish I was doing more, but my adhd has not been cooperating lately.

I've actually heard of Obsidian!! @space-writes uses it for just about everything, iirc. I've been meaning to give it a shot sometime. But I don't think I'll ever end up moving all my d&d character stuff over, at least not right now, since I have a very detailed spreadsheet database for them all in Notion, which I'm very proud of.

But who knows, maybe someday I'll change my mind. I have been known to do that frequently... (Looks sideways at my writing notes which are scattered between milanote and notion, plus my actual writing which is scattered between google docs and scrivener.)

But thank you for telling me about it! I love it when people tell me that something reminded them of me, or that they thought I'd like it. It means a lot to me.

And how about you? How are you doing? I hope you're not too busy right now. I miss seeing you on my dash and talking to you! <3

BUT LOL LOOK AT ME NOW THO😭😭😭😭BUSY WITH ONE AS WE SPEAK!! Tbh they're very fun to read but also a LOT of work to make!! like a LOT,, so I commend everyone who has ever made or worked on one👏

But also,, written fics😩 we barely have any but lemme tell you we came a long way because when I first came here I could barely find any. most of the written works were headcannons and imagines,, but I see lots of writers are branching out and doing written fics and one shots which is very cool of them🤩🤩🤩 smaus are in their popular era so I think a lot of writers are fascinated with trying to make one ( me included) but I feel genuinely bad sometimes because there are many writers on here writing full length fics and barely getting engagement because people aren't that interested in reading long pieces. I hope it doesnt discourage them tho,, even tho they might feel that way. Also, with tumblrs shitty algorithm. It's hard to gain exposure because people prefer to like rather than reblog. And like,, if you don't get a lot of notes within say, they first day or two or very hard for people to find them and read them unless others reblog it onto their dash
