Day 17- Location @paperartistcollective #amonthinpaper challenge I’m in Central Florida in the sunshine state. I’m in a great area where I’m about 45 minutes from the beach, and an hour away from Disney, Universal, and Sea World. We have crazy thunderstorms that make our hurricanes look tame. Our area has beautiful scenery with all the lakes and natural springs and we have an abundance of wildlife. You can see at any time black bears, deer, turkey, coyotes, Sandhill cranes, egrets, cardinals, armadillos, hawks, alligators, otters, raccoon, manatee, gopher tortoises, and bobcat! Not to mention so many crazy insects and bugs.... ever heard of the wheel bug? Yeah, look that nasty sucker up! Day 15- Perfect Paper Weight @Paperartistcollective #amonthinpaper challenge I would have to say the perfect paper weight for me is 65lb. I can do so much with it and feel comfortable to say that I’ve learned to be quite proficient with it whether I’m using 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2” strips. Happy Friday everyone! They want me to put ideas together to create an icon or image to trigger happy thoughts or replay special memories. They give me favorites, certain life events, or just everyday fun things that stands out for the recipient. Day 10- Detail or Close Up for @paperartistcollective #amonthinpaper challenge. When I create my quilled pieces, I can be a bit obsessive about the details. I don’t like glue blobs or seams to show where the paper meets. I try to add tiny details that just add that extra touch or meaning. Day 3- Color Palette in @paperartistcollective #amonthinpaper challenge. I never know what my color palette will be until the customer requests it. I do love bringing colors together to create harmony or visual appeal. I think my most common palette though would be those of the ocean. I love creating beach scenes and recreating the hues of the sunset and sunrise. Day 2: Favorite Tool. I think now I can officially say I have more than one favorite tool. I’m sure I could make do without certain ones, but I have favorite tools for certain tasks. ~Here are my top nine for 2020. My favorite makes of course- my custom themed letters and my apple ornament. Thank you to all who have trusted me to create that something special for you or your loved ones... ~Looking back, it’s been a year with a lot of emotional ups and downs in our family, but we have made it through and are so blessed to continue to grow and heal. I saved this piece for today...since it is Thanksgiving, I am posting what I am thankful for. I am most thankful for my wonderful family. They are always there for me, are forever supportive, and most forgiving when I forget something or do something stupid 😜. I am also so very thankful for those who have continued to show me kindness- my friends. The ones who are constant in my real life, my coworkers, and my virtual friends here as well. I have been blessed to make great connections and everyone has shown so much kindness!
