Ok, but imagine wearing Richter's coat and nothing else after he makes love to you? It's much too large, and the blue fabric swallows you. However, the warmth from your lover still lingers on it, as does his scent; a heady mixture of leather and musk. You find yourself nearly being soothed to sleep. However, Richter is completely enamored by the sight of you — naked, in his coat, bearing the Belmont crest. The image conjurs something primal and possessive within, and he suddenly finds himself reinvigorated despite having already thoroughly ravished you thrice that night. You tiredly wrap your arms around his neck and melt into his embrace as the brawny brunette effortlessly bounces your exhausted body on his cock. "Just one more time for me, angel" he murmurs feverishly before capturing your lips in a searing kiss.
oh my god, nonnie . . ?! delicious, every single word of it. this is all i wish for, honestly— to be just completely surrounded by richter, from his safe embrace to wearing his clothes >< i adore everything about this!!! the wording is soooo perfect, and i just love him going ahead and taking control as you snuggle into him, draped in the fabric of his clan . . . i am not fucking normal about this at all, not one bit. want him to let me relax into him & just be cute ‘n lazy while he does all the work, rocking my hips into him by using his large hands and smothering me with his affection ❤︎ live laugh love richter fucking belmont!

March 2023 Roundup!!
I knew the day would come but not this abruptly. The predicted decrease in my personal consumption of English licensed manga already came true (I read a record low 4 volumes of English manga in all of March) anddddd with the upcoming closure of Bookdepo, and imported books from america costing more and more I don’t think my commitment to english licensed manga will ever be the same. Luckily my favorite comic bookstore is still thriving and my local library system has done a huge effort in expanding their manga selection this past year so I won’t stop reading, but my personal collection of translated manga will not get much bigger. My Japanese collection however...
I’m back to reading curated anthologies. One that got instant buzz was Mangaka! Sekai Bungaku: Tanbi to Heroine curated by Tosho no Ie and Hideo Yamada. This anthology is a selection of 1970-80s Shoujo manga adaptions of world literature (by “world” read Japan, Europe, and North America). The obvious star is Hideko Mizuno. The woman who raised the bar for what dramatic girls manga could be. For a long time she’s been away from the spotlight but recently has had a resurgence which led to the reprinting of her 1969 hit “Fire!”, the saga of a fictional Detroit rock band and its troubled lead man, Aron. The above mentioned anthology features her retelling of Cinderella which she based on the Brothers Grimm version. Her art in this story is so elegant and lavish I really hope the plans to reprint the rest of her bibliography is successful  so I can read even more. Check the anilist page to see who else is featured in this anthology! I’m also working through the 7 volume Shogakukan Shugyoku no Meisaku Anthology. Each volume is curated by themes such as “family”, “partings”, “tears” or “cats”! Its features primarily works and artists who are regulars in Shogakukan’s family of “Flowers” magazines aimed at girls and adult women of various ages and niches. Its very sneaky how its curated however using chapters from episodically serialized works. Regularly featured in the volumes are Moto Hagio, Akimi Yoshida, Akiko Hatsu, Yumi Tamura, and Keiko Nishi. I’ve really loved the picks so far the genres, settings, and themes are varied and span decades. Among the artists I’m reading for the first time through this series I’ve become very interested in exploring the bibliographies of Sakumi Yoshino and Misako Nachi once I get the chance. Check the anilist page to see the full table of contents!
And I love highlighting something silly and fun I read. Kaeranai Ojisan by Mariko Nishimura  is a gag manga about a group of middle aged men coping with a world that is trying to move on from the aggressive work ethic of the Showa era, by replacing overtime with... after work playtime. Together they do trust falls, skipping rocks on the water, stand in the middle of a train station in the middle of rush hour to feel like they’re in a drama, sword fighting with sticks, and practice NiziU choreography. Currently there’s a sequel series running and it recieved a short live action adaption fall of last year.
And I never formally said anything but Tokimeki Tonight is temporarily away from this blog until I do a reread. The caps were practically at the end of the Ranze arc and my Japanese has come a loooong way since I first read it so I want to go through it again with fresh eyes. In the meantime I will post from the side story Makabe Shun no Jijou! This 2013 miniseries shows us a bit of Shun’s childhood before the series started and what some of the main series chapters were like from his perspective. A cute little addition to the Ranze arc’s canon.
Thank you for reading as always. Just feel the need to share that I’m moving away from licensed manga since that was such a significant focus of this blog and these roundups for so long. But its time for new priorities now that I personally don’t need translations for accessibility and buy manga licensed mainly bc it’s less of a logistic headache to acquire.

I have recently started rewatching house of the dragon and reread the book fire and blood anddddd became obsessed all over again with the world. I have a wattpad account where I published a Daemon Targaryen fanfic and decided to continue it here on tumblr because I prefer the layout and user interface as opposed to wattpad.
The book was called fire and fire and I have recently unpublished it on wattpad because I will be fixing and rewriting everything, however, I am unsure if I would post in on there. So yeah I will be posting a lot of asoiaf world— so keep on the look out.

Fic Year In Review
Tagged by the wonderful @shireness-says and @optomisticgirl
Total number of completed stories:
Three Captain Swan MCs
Seven Captain Swan one shots
One Bellarke MC
Six Bellarke one shots
Four Blue Line extras
Eleven Tumbr-only stories
** that’s the stuff I published, there were (obviously) more Blue Line stories that are currently languishing in my Google Docs (remember when I wrote smut Dev and B??) and then also the Killian!centric witch fic spin-off, those nine vaguely spooky story chapters I wrote and never finished, far too many space pirate words anddddd the beauty and the beast fic.
Total word count:  528,411 — but again, that’s just ao3
Looking back did you write more, less, or about what you expected to this year?
Honestly that is a lot more than I thought it was. To say that writing has been a struggle this year would be something of a massive understatement, so I honestly cannot believe it’s that much. Like...that feels like a lie. And obviously doesn’t include the stories I never finished. Let’s not talk about the stories I never finished.
What’s your own favourite story of the year?
Connecting on the Wraparound was both a delight and a challenge to write. Partially because writing a multi-chapter is always a challenge, but writing in a new fandom with a hockey setting and trying not to basically rewrite Blue Line was a whole other obstacle I didn’t expect and very much enjoyed. Also, there was a delightful lack of real angst. At least in the relationship. At first I had every intention of them breaking up or something stupid, but then I was like—naw, not gonna do that, they’re going to kiss some more.
Also But Once a Year was a surprise that I did not plan on writing at all, and my time travel trash self wrote like 50K in a week.
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the next year?
I signed up for @bellarkebigbang with every intention of rewriting and finishing the Beauty and the Beast AU. I have some new ideas that I didn’t think of last year, and I think we can go alternating POV and have some magic and multiple worlds and SWORD FIGHTS. I am who I am, y’know?
And maybe the space pirates? I reread some chapters a few days ago and was like—hey, that’s not bad. So...that’d be fun.
And and, I have so much fic I haven’t ever posted. It’s ridiculous. I should post my fic. I just don’t want to annoy the internet.
Most popular story of the year?
By Ao3 hits: Connecting on the Wraparound
By Ao3 kudos: Hitting the Mark
By Tumblr notes: Drew Stars Around My Scars
Story of mine most underrated by the universe, in my opinion?
This is such a strange question because like—it is a genuine surprise that anyone clicks or reads anything I write ever, but if pressed I guess it would be One Foot In. It’s admittedly a very niche kind of fic, with lots of modern magic and, like, death plays a very prominent role. But I think it’s also some of the best banter I’ve written and I was really proud of taking the ideas of Pushing Daisies and twisting them into my own Once-inspired canon.
Most fun story to write?
Like I said Connecting on the Wraparound was a lot of fun, and definitely how I got through winter sports. But just to keep things interesting, let’s also say On This Night and in This Light. I love writing modern magic stories, and coming up with the backstory of everyone who used Mills Personnel was a joy.
Biggest surprise?
Writing in a new fandom! Despite how horrendously disappointing the end of The 100 turned out being, writing about Bellamy Blake and Clarke Griffin making out was a lot of fun and, as always, I was legitimately floored that people clicked and read and enjoyed everything I wrote. I’m super psyched to write in a fandom event and make those two idiots kiss some more.
If you read this, consider yourself tagged. Seriously, tell me about your fic.

For the fanfiction asks - 5, 6, 14 (Gonna go with Falling Slowly and WA for that one), 30, anddddd 33
;-*
Just answered 5 (Powerful Magic).
6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?
I’m sure there are authors who are like, “OMG none of them!” but I’m like ... “Only one?” Let’s go with Loyalty, which I don’t even want to link to because I just feel so blah about it. It was written in response to an anonymous prompt that was sent to multiple people (so I almost didn’t write it), and it suffers from the kinds of problems that many stories written mid-series did in terms of things getting Jossed, etc. And I just ... don’t like it. :(
14) How did you come up with the titles for Falling Slowly and With Affection?
With Affection’s title source is not very exciting. I had no idea what to title it and just kind of skimmed through the text to find something. It was the way that Killian closed his first letter to Emma, so it felt appropriate.
Falling Slowly’s title was not something I had in mind from the VERY start, but I’d say by the time the general idea for the story had formed in my head, I knew that was going to be the title. The idea of two strangers connecting so immediately and deeply, when being together seems like an impossibility, was just so very obviously Once to me that I couldn’t shake it. And I’d always known I’d be writing the scene where Killian reveals to Emma that they can’t continue onward, which to me a lot of the lyrics of Falling Slowly very well. This was without a doubt one of the easier titles for me to come up with.
30) In contrast to 29 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at?
Oh boy! I love you so much, and I cannot wait for you to visit again in a few months, and our friendship means so much to me, and you already know which story I’m gonna say, don’t you?
At the risk of being too predictable, I honestly have no idea why Fifth Dates Are For Tragic Backstories is popular, but I’m glad people like it.
33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?
I don’t really think that there’s a “biggest” compliment I’ve gotten, to be honest! Sometimes, it’s when a big name fandom author likes my work. Sometimes it’s when someone tells me that a story is their favorite. Sometimes it’s when someone comments on every chapter of a finished story. Sometimes it’s when I open a kudos email from AO3 and it’s just a list of 12 of my stories that the same person’s left kudos on.
I know that I have a reputation (not a HUGE reputation, but a reputation nonetheless) for pushing readers to leave comments, so I kind of feel like naming one kind of compliment as the biggest/best kind can be intimidating to people who are shy but trying to be respectful, encouraging readers.
So instead, I’ll just say that the most recent compliment to make my day was a comment from CShipper on AO3, who told me that they hadn’t been able to remember the name of a story they had really liked and wanted to reread, guessed it was by me, and then found it and reread it and loved it again. I’d been having a rough time and it really cheered me up immensely.
