Hi friends,
Since I started to play with the Sims 4 trying to recreate Ancient Rome, I wanted to put in a single place all the CC I found (for myself, first of all, and for anyone who might find the list useful).
I am a historian of the Ancient World, so I am quite obsessed with historical accuracy (not excessively!)
I will continue to update the posts with my finds.
Feel free to send me suggestion to add to the list.

Soo ... who else wants thermopolium (ancient fast food) in their Ancient Roman save file? Just me? Oh, okay ...
P.S. I got inspired by the preserved thermopolium excavated in Pompeii back in 2019.

okay it's implied through Ulysses and Titania that John renamed all his friends when he resurrected them, and while I'm definitely judging him for wiping everyone's memories and and rebooting them like they were a sims game he got frustrated with halfway thru, what I'm REALLY judging him for is the new names he came up with.
-Titania- Shakespeare inspired, classy, a little unusual but that's fine. I imagine being named John would give you an appreciation for less common names. 8/10
-Ulysses- I know there's not a lot to work with when is comes to U names, but naming someone after a dog?? fucked up?? just lie and say it's after Odysseus or the James Joyce novel. 2/10
-Augustine- obvs John idolizes ancient rome to a certain extent. could have been worse, at least it's a person name. 7/10
-Alfred- yes it's a real name but nobody is named that except batman's butler and I'm pretty sure that's where John got the name. 4/10
-Mercymorn- that's not a person name! it doesn't even fit her! the only explanation i can think of is that her original name was something equally unfit. 1/10
-Cristabel- google informs me that this the title of a Coleridge poem but I'm 99% sure John chose it because it means "beautiful christian" and she was a nun. 3/10
-Gideon- biblical, meaning great warrior. perfect fit. no notes. 10/10.
-Pyrrha- a little on the nose there, Mr. pyrrhic victory. 6/10
-Cassiopeia- beautiful name, probably meant to reference the constellation rather than the mythological queen. 8/10
-Nigella- it's a name that means black? it's a genus of plant? honestly we know basically nothing about N-- except that she was an artist, was in love with C--, and owned eyeliner and capes, so she was probably goth. 5/10
John GAIUS- bro could make it more obvious that you're soul bonded with the earth and also that you have a hard on for Julius Caesar? -1000/10

So I'm starting a new save file. Or restarting one. It starts in prehistoric times and if I stick with it, will go from there
I'm not good at long-term happy stories, which the Barbie challenge mostly is. I'll go back to it, maybe alternate between them, but I'm taking a break
There will be death. There will be loss. There will be randomness, because I prefer random. There will be triggering themes at times, including probably child death, miscarriage, possibly infertility, war. There will be war, but probably not graphic war--I don't really do posing and staged scenes, more like roll a dice and see if a person lived or died.
I'll try to tag for triggers. When I fail (if there's anyone reading it) please let me know.
I'm calling it Eras Challenge (I can't find anything else by that name, so it shouldn't end up on anyone's else's dashboard from that alone. There's apparently a Legacy Eras Challenge though), and I'm making it up as I go. Everything is subject to change, and will change according to the customs of the era. Current semi-planned eras are Prehistoric/Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Medieval, Renaissance, other years I have no name on, Victorian, Edwardian, decades of the 1900s. I fell deep into research for a few days a while ago, but I never actually played past prehistoric. I'll see how this round goes, or if I get distracted by aliens again.
A lot is inspired by the History Challenge (https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/960939/beta-the-sims-4-history-challenge-2-0/p1) and the Extreme Decades Challenge (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1T73n79Ziln7nv_ojBCTx9SLSlvhy5LtSXnr_ZYtElXw/edit#heading=h.i6eex95s85kf)
I'm not pretending to be original with everything. I'm sorta cobbling together bits and pieces and adding things and removing things as I see fit. It's mostly a challenge in the sense that I want to see how long I can stick with it. Rules go something like: here are some options, pick one or don't; don't use mods to make things easier, unless you want to; don't use X until *time* unless you can find cc to make it look good; have fun with it. Detailed, but flexible

Pharaoh cleopatra game best sandbox map
#Pharaoh cleopatra game best sandbox map full
The biggest novelty Pharaoh introduced, in regard to Caesar III, was the excellent historical background. Unfortunately, some of the game's novelties were overshadowed because of it. The official add-on to Pharaoh, Cleopatra, is none-the-worse than the original when it comes to quality of design, and maybe even better taking in consideration the gameplay value of the additional missions.ĭue to its competitive release date, Pharaoh was dwarfed by some of the bigger Christmas hits. The sim was called Pharaoh, and it was met with fairly positive critique when it was released in October last year. Such is the charm and fun of the simulation, placed in the time of ancient Egypt. The Impression Games decided to widen their opus to other great civilizations. Thanks to that Impression Games pearl, millions of sim fans were able to go back in time to ancient Rome and re-live its glory, if only for a few days. Whether constructing tombs in the Valley of the Kings or building the Lighthouse of Alexandria, battling Octavian or plagues, or simply beautifying and establishing a solid kingdom, Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile - Official Pharaoh Expansion offers you the chance to relive and recreate history in the land of the Pharaohs.Ĭaesar III proved that ancient-days God-Sim's could be very interesting, even in the age of super-accelerated 3D FPS games. Another new feature is the allowance to carry over from mission to mission (within campaigns only) certain properties including family savings, (some) troops and monuments. In the latter, victory is claimed immediately upon meeting or exceeding all required ratings. In the former, at the end of a given time limit (assuming your city still exists), you must meet or exceed pre-set ratings in various areas. Seven of the missions in Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile are timed and consist of two types: survival (4) and time limit (3). Other added features are new beasts (e.g., scorpions, asps, roaming lions), commodities (henna, oil, lamps, paint and white marble), and industries (Paint Maker, Lamp Maker, Artisan's Guild and Henna Farm). New enemies introduced in Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile - Official Pharaoh Expansion include Assyrians, Persians, Phoenicians and Romans (possible allies at times) as well as tomb robbers. Four major plagues (River of Blood, Plague of Frogs, Hailstorm and Plague of Locusts) and new monument types have also been added. Also, with this upgrade, you can now play the missions included in Pharaoh in any order without completing the campaign.Įnhancements to the original game include the addition of the zoo to the missions Bubastis and Hetepsenusret (building at least one is necessary to attain the required Culture Rating), faster pyramid construction and pop-up message control. There are four new campaigns encompassing 15 missions that span history from the late New Kingdom era to Cleopatra's rule.

Installation of the full commercial version of Pharaoh is required in order to utilize the expansion pack.Ĭleopatra VII reigned in Egypt at the end of the Ptolemaic period and the expansion covers not only her time in power but also the reigns of Tutankhaman and Ramses II. The game includes enhancements to its parent title Pharaoh in the areas of gameplay, shortcut keys, and scope. Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile - Official Pharaoh Expansion is more than an add-on of new scenarios and campaigns.

Early this day i made by accident a “Greek” Warrior-ish Hottie that i got instantly attached. But after spend all afternoon reading some of the life on Ancient Mediterran cultures it changed to a Pompeii Equestrian. So, no Long Blond Hair (They hated blond hair because their fights with the Nordic Invadors) And no stubble (A man of his social Rank should be always neat and clean) Well, This is the Result, A Clean Neat Magnus.

HeliosSims - Tack set inspired by ancient Rome
Hello everyone! It's finally time to present my Roman/medieval inspired tack set. It took a lot more time than I initially thought, and I learnt a lot making this set! It's not perfect by any means, but I gave it my best shot!
I'd especially like to thank mauvemorn, a moderator at the Sims 4 Studio, without whom it wouldn't have been possible to complete this set!
Known Issues: The reins don't attach properly to the new bridle. I haven't found a fix for that problem yet. Let me know If You experience any issues.
Enjoy!
This Set contains:
Roman Bridle with X-Browband (10 swatches)
Roman Saddle (10 swatches)
Roman Leg-Wraps (12 swatches)
