Spooky Hill [Creepy CC-Free Neighbourhood with Custom Scripting]
Information
Spooky Hill is my (very early) Halloween gift to you! If you love all things spooky scary and enjoy playing with supernatural Sims, I have the perfect neighbourhood for you. This is a small, 6 household hood with plenty of creepy and abandoned lots ready for you to boot up and explore.
This is a completely CC-free neighbourhood, but since I have the Ultimate Collection, you must own all of the EP’s and SP’s in order for the hood to function as intended. You do not need a camera mod to play the neighbourhood.
Spooky Hill also has custom scripting! I recommend playing the families in the order they appear in the neighbourhood story for the best experience, but it's not entirely necessary. The file for scripted events is included in the neighbourhood folder. Once you've played through every household, you can delete the file. Doing so is completely safe!
There are 30 townies in total ranging from children to adults. For the sake of consistency, I’ve allowed some NPC’s to generate so they’ll mostly be the same in everyone’s game.
While completely safe to do so, I don’t recommend resurrecting deceased Sims. They lack information living Sims in the neighbourhood have, such as skills, memories and hobby enthusiasm.

Recommended Mods
Please note that the following mods are optional, but strongly recommended for a better gameplay experience:
Sims won't be able to water certain flowers because of their location, so using Water Inaccessible Flowers will be a huge help when taking care of the Sims' gardens!
Same issue as above! The Trim Inaccessible Bushes mod will make it so Sims can trim bushes regardless of where they are located.
There is a Sim employed in the Law Enforcement career, so getting the Playable Cops mod will prevent the game from spawning a random police NPC and use the playable instead.
Better Apartment Residences is especially recommended if you only want the custom townies to rent the apartments. Without this mod, random townies will spawn!
Another great apartment mod is Rent Furnished Apartments! The motel is already furnished so using this mod will prevent you from having to do it yourself.
Because I’ve placed objects on some dining tables, they may be rendered unusable in a vanilla game. The Centerpiece Enabler will fix this and Sims will be able to use the dining table without issue!
I have play-tested the neighbourhood as thoroughly as I can to ensure hood is as clean and as functional as possible, but if you experience any issues, please don’t hesitate to let me know and I’ll get it fixed.

Unfortunately this neighbourhood will never see the light of day! As it was the only hood in my ‘Neighbourhoods’ folder, it was automatically named N001. I needed to test broken scripted events in Pleasantview and stupidly replaced this hood with the PV file. I had then deleted it from my recycling bin 😩
I appreciate the enthusiasm I received from this post and I’m sorry if this disappoints anyone! I do plan on creating more custom neighbourhoods in the future that includes the features listed below. Until then, let me know which of the following you’d be most interested in playing:
- Busy city using concrete terrain with tons of bars, clubs, restaurants and industrial-style buildings
- Colourful desert hood with lots of quirky characters and aliens
- Cosy suburban neighbourhood like the one listed below!

A little sneak peak at my third custom neighbourhood! I think I have a strong story and theme for this one, but we'll see how it turns out. This'll be my biggest project to date with a huge list community lots, houses and apartments. Can't wait to share it with you when it's all done!

Pleasantview Clean Template: Maxis Townies + Sim State University
INFORMATION
If you didn’t know, all subhood townies and NPC’s have their names randomised when you first play. If this isn’t an issue for you, ignore this download as you probably won’t benefit from it!
All I’ve done is taken zachjohnunlimited’s 'Clean Pleasantview without Bella Goth,’ added Sim State University and renamed all of the dormies and NPC’s back to Maxis originals. If you want to keep your game strictly to playable Sims only, this download won’t be for you.
All students, mascots, baristas, professors, etc have been renamed to the Maxis originals. You can Google any of them and the Simswiki will pull up any information you might need.
Scripted events are in working order and I have taken every care to ensure names are spelled correctly, but if you notice any issues, please message me and I’d be happy to rectify the mistakes.
Please not that this version does not contain Bella Goth.
OPTIONS
There are two versions of this download:
N001: Replaces the Pleasantview already in your game.
NP01: Separate file so both Pleasantview hoods can coexist.
Ensure you delete the original N001 file before adding the replacement version in. Do not allow it to override.

Working on a project called Diamond Heights! It's a neighbourhood I've wanted to build for years and I'm finally doing it. Full of Urbz references and themes from the original game's districts (Gasoline Row, Neon East, Central Station, etc). Lots of plans for this one!

I think I’ve borked my neighbourhood. I have 2 Sims that are listed as having ‘no Character File’ in SimPE and appear with a red background. They are totally unplayable. I don’t ever want to release a potentially corrupted hood, but I’m not sure where to go from here. It’s a lot of progress to waste so I might revert to an earlier backup (without Sims) and put the lots up for download.
I think it has something to do with cloning Sims in BodyShop as I experienced some issues with it, and possible the Sim Surgery feature? Not sure, but I’ll keep looking for solutions. At the very least I’ll be able to share some Wild West themed lots on MTS, so it won’t be a total loss.
Just wanted to be transparent in case anyone had seen my earlier post and was looking forward to downloading the hood!
