some may complain but i actually think alfie was one of the best decisions for santana to sing in 6x6. it’s a little funny that they cut out the “without true love we just exist, alfie” but the rest of the song fits soo well and makes me so emotional

#it’s one of my favorite gcvs ESPECIALLY santana-wise. her voice is beautiful #and it was very touching. i’ve seen other suggestions for a better song- like ones that may refer more closely to santana’s lesbianism #and being with brittany/another woman #BUT it was also meant to be a message to her abuela about how the sexuality shouldn’t matter bc santana’s happy and in love #and THATS what should matter #and that’s basically what alfie is about #i watched the whole movie (alfie 1966) too just so i could think harder about it #and yeah i still think it fits even though it’s meant as a message to alfie that he needs to stop being a Womanizer #and shit like that #but it’s also just about how lonely it is without true love #and that love is the key etc etc #so abuela not loving santana because she’s a lesbian? ummm yikes! isn’t love meant to be what matters #that being said i have Many thoughts about some decisions in that episode but overall #i just like that song choice which is my main point here amen #gleeposting
