In my earlier post I mentioned I'll be taking a break from constantly working on requests so I'll probably invest more on Raptured and this new series just until juices of inspiration come back to help me with your asks! I hope none of you will mind, and thank you in advance for your understanding! 💖💖 Now, without further ado on to the chapter!

Queen and Chaos
Chapter Two.
The relationship you had with Riddle was something in the likes of a love and hate kind.
Your unique magic, Mismatch, was an ability Riddle found to be unruly. Something to not encourage because of its wild and unpredictable manner, but the fact that it bend to only his will, that it could be commanded to serve him and no one else gave Riddle a sense of power he'd never felt before. And to be honest,he was addicted to it.
You were his loyal servant. His most destructive tool in his jurisdiction of ruling.
On your part, Riddle was a beacon. A sort of light moths flew into to get burned alive. He was impossible to look away from, the very aura he emitted was that of a twisted sense of control and law.
Your magic often took a great toll on your body and the atmosphere around you, because after a single use its chaotic properties would linger for half an hour, which also rendered your remaining magic unable to control thus causing even the most simple of spells to blow out of proportion.
This angered Riddle and ultimately made you a great disability.
Still, you'd use it a thousand times if he asked you to because you've never felt the thrill of serving under a crown that seemed to titter off its wearer's own head.
"Look at the mess you've made." Riddle hissed, his eyes narrowed as he sent you a long frown. The special unit of his Triumph Knights had to be called out to sort out the dancing soldiers and their treacherous Knight Commander, who, to Riddle's annoyance and surprise, was still alive after being stabbed.
You would've told him that you knew the Knight Commander wouldn't have died that easily since he was a rather bulky and robust man, but you were more engrossed in trying to yank off Riddle's collar clamped around your neck.
"It's useless, you know. My unique magic is always a tight fit. The only way you'd get it off is if I let you, or have your head decapitated." He smiled at the last notion catching your attention as you turned you head slowly to him and frowned.
"It's not my fault. I wouldn't have needed to use my unique magic if you didn't let yourself get drugged so easily" You grinned at the sight of Riddle's glare intensifying, crossing your legs as you propped yourself on his wardrobe.
"You should know better than that. Big people like you shouldn't be too comfortable on that pretty throne of yours, because if you're on top there's bound to be people down there who'd killed to get their asses up there too"
"Watch your tongue." Riddle snapped, arms crossing. "You're talking to your Queen,Hatter."
"Oh, what are you going to do? You've already taken my head off."
Riddle chose to ignore that little snarky remark, knowing very well that if you hadn't come as you did earlier then he'd have died like some poor, unfortunate Welp. He hated when he couldn't pin you to a fault, but he'd hate it more to have lost his most valuable asset.
You just like to see him go red.
"You should be executed, you know" Riddle said, haughtily. "What with that scheming exchange you were proposing to that traitor...", his blood was boiling just from the thought of you using his vulnerability for your own gain. After all, despite whatever leash he has you on, Riddle always had this small voice in his head that constantly reminded him that betrayal comes from those you trust the most.
The Knight Commander was a well example of that.
You were no different.
"Scheming? What do you mean scheming? It was a fair trade"
"Fair trade? " Riddle was bordering on a scream now, and the few knights doing their jobs lightly turned their heads to him before he sent them all a glower and immediately they continued their work.
Furious and crossed, he strode towards you and yanked your leg from where it dangled on the wardrobe.
You let out a pained yelp and Riddle's cheeks flared a dangerous red.
"I am not something you can trade around so easily! I am your Queen, your Ruler! The very fact that you so leniently tossed around my worth is a clear show that you should have your head spiked on a barn pigs door!"
He was fuming now, every ounce of his frustration and anger seeping into his words as he hissed them through clenched teeth. His hand still held tightly onto your ankle and as he lifted it up,making you bump your head on the wall behind you and your skirt flayed open, something in your stomach tightened and subconsciously you let out a shaky sigh that was far from terrified.
"You're going all red again,Your Highness" You breathed out, "And as much as I adore that colour on you, I fear you've mistaken my intentions."
You were so quick with your movements, as swift as a breeze, Riddle hadn't even seen how you managed to untangle yourself from his grasp and came to be by his side.
"The price of a Queen is by technical terms another Queen,or in laymen terms another life, for in a game of chess should anyone take your Queen, you'd lose immediately, thus implying that your life would only be accepted if another Queen was involved",You grabbed hold of his hands in both of yours, bringing it up as you clasped it tightly.
There was a sickening look in your eyes then, the kind that made Riddle want to step back and snarl at, yet he was captivated by it as well, of how this swirl of obsession and madness melded exceptionally well with the hues of your eyes. He couldn't seem to pry you off him then.
"Don't you see? I was offering the life of thousands for yours, a single soul. How could I accept any lesser than that?" You smiled, glazed and heavy yet sweet and rich, like honey dripping over ice. "In truth,I would have asked him to give up half of the townsmen as well," a small laugh escaped you then, before you placed your lips on his knuckles and allowed them to linger on it as you spoke. "But I know how you hate greediness,so I refrained myself from asking more, even if I was trying to match up to your worth."
Riddle had no words to say then. He seemed both disturbed and enamored by your twisted declaration, a sudden pit of heat building in his core as you drank up the rather drunken expression you had on. He's had people dedicate their lives to him, but this was more than mere loyalty. You had no shred of fear in your eyes, not even when he threatened you.
You were mad. Oh,but you were also glorious, Riddle couldn't imagine anyone else standing by his side then.

Why Isn’t There A “Curvy/Chubby” Winx Fairy?
Tumblr media
Does Winx really trying to promote girls to be super thin or hate towards other body sizes?
One thing people have always often mention or gripe about in Winx Club since it’s debut in 2004/2005  is that the girls are super thin. Each Winx girl has basically a body that looks like it’s been squeezed into invisible corset. In the old series, the girls especially wore midriffs and short skirts, having a sex appeal despite the Winx are around 16 at the very least. While 16 isn’t exactly bad, most of the target audience are preteens and they even promoted bikinis to young girls...Which yeah, even that bugs me sometimes. I don’t think they do that now.
Also, every girl in Winx Club, not just the main girls but also like every single girl in the series who is young and not had children obviously, is the same body shape and body length. Characters deem to be either elderly or just quirky are the only ones that actually have a sense of different body shapes.
So does this mean they’re pressuring girls to starve themselves or say if you’re obese or even remotely chubby, you’re not pretty enough to be a Winx girl? Well...I think there’s actually more to it than that.
First off, we really need to be honest. The main reason they do this kind of thing is to sell toys and animate easier. It’s just easier to make a toy the same model and it’s easy to animate the same model in animation. It takes less time and they can sell stuff and shove the episodes out sooner. They’ve done this sort of thing since the beginning of action cartoons to sell toys!
Also, let’s think of a few other reasons too. I mean, yeah, the toy and animate thing are the main reasons but there are a few other possibilities to consider as well. Many shows especially back then when Winx first came out, tried to encourage kids to be active due to there being an increase of children being overweight and having health problems due to it. Naturally, they thought the best way is to show kid’s heroes being active and fit.
Tumblr media
Yes, the Winx do fly but you know what they are doing when they’re not transformed? They’re being active. They’re walking around, they’re dancing, they’re going on nature hikes and field trips, they’re even lifting things. Shoot Stella’s purses and shopping bags weigh a ton with how much she shops! When they’re not transformed which is actually most of the time, they’re doing something active. Even if one of them was chubby, they wouldn’t be for very long with how much steps they take daily on each of their adventures.
Shoot, in their classes had the Winx actually doing acrobatic feats and obstacles, not just in their fairy form but their regular form, including that of survival. Something that would be really hard to do if you’re overweight or even chubby and if you manage to succeed, doing that very often you won’t be overweight or chubby for very long. Your body would burn off the calories and change to fit the activities and missions.
Before you point out “Steven Universe” I will argue that show, while good it is unrealistic when it comes to that subject. Try eating nothing but donuts and sweets, get to that size and then try swinging a sword around in training or leap around effortlessly. You’ll prove my point.
Another good reason to consider is Winx Club came from Italy, NOT the US. America is the main country where obesity and overweight especially in children is a thing. Most other countries don’t have this issue. In fact, Italy is the third lowest in the country when it comes to obesity/overweight with the US being the highest with England being second to it. We’re the only ones that do the “promote body positivity” while other countries realize the problems being overweight can be. Other countries choose fact over feelings and for good reasons.
Tumblr media
It’s of course, not good to bully people about their weight and people that are even a bit chubby or slightly overweight, can be healthy. However, being above that level can create a lot of problems. I as well as many people have family members that suffer many problems due to being overweight. It’s not something easily taken care of and it is a real struggle. Being very thin has it’s downs too and I can sort of see where kids may think they have to be toothpick thin when seeing a Winx girl, but I dunno. The Winx bodies are so out of proportion that I think most kids are smart enough for them to realize no one really looks like that. It’s a cartoon and kids know that people come in all sizes. They go outside and they see everyone in different sizes.
I’ve only know very few cases where kids made themselves skinny due to a cartoon and the kids had more undermining issues besides that. Yes, kids can be sensitive but they can also be smart and with proper guidance they can watch something like Winx or even the Disney Princess movies without feeling the need to be unrealistically thin or even sex appealing.
Naturally, because Italy is so low on the overweight scale, this reflects in their shows especially towards children. To them, a thin character isn’t promoting anything bad because being overweight is not really a thing in Italy and they don’t have the issue of children starving themselves over there either, so they’re not so worried about promoting shows where the main characters are thin.
Third, think about aerodynamics. I know it’s kind of weird to say, but listen out. Have you ever seen a beetle fly around and then see something like a butterfly or dragonfly afterwards? Ever notice how different they fly? Or seen how a bird’s body is built? Birds and insects that meant to swoop around. Their bodies are built to be able to be fast. In order to fly swiftly and easily through out the air, especially to dodge something, the creature has to be built to do that and be less wind resistant, which is hard to when you’re a bit thick.
Not to mention but weight can effect how well something can fly. As I mention beetles, they’re a bit on the stocky sort of side, so most of the time, they’re not great flyers or at least not as fast as say a dragonfly. They’re actually quite slow which is why they have a bulky shell and often a fowl taste to them that wears predator animals off their trail. Dragonflies and butterflies are thin and light and thus can move and dodge predators better.
Tumblr media
Fairies, though flying with magic, may have some works in aerodynamics too. While it is a show about fairies and is completely fictional, there needs to be some logic and laws to fiction to give more investment and to make some lick of sense to not be so distracting. Characters can’t just simply do whatever without some logic, they have to have some sort of sense of reality to make it work, as well as a sense of balance to it. Don’t believe me, think of why they had to gain Sirenix, because even with Enchantix, they can’t breath underwater nor be able to move quickly and agile through the water! There’s usually some logic involved!
For us, the law of something being able to fly and fight, even with magic as the girls do need to dodge attacks, the characters need to be built for it. Shoot, Sirenix is a transformation meant for speed! That’s why the outfit is very sleek and stream like.
Again, we know the main reason is to sell toys and take some easy steps for animation and it could also be beauty as well, but there are some pretty good logical reasons too. When you’re active as much as the Winx are, you’re not gonna be overweight or curvy or chubby, whatever you want to call it. Well yeah, the Winx don’t have muscles, they’re active enough to be pretty lean.
And also, if you draw a chubby or “different body” Winx girl, more power to you. I’m just giving out reasons for people to think about, since a lot of people are quick to be hostile about this subject. I’m NOT telling how people should draw their own characters or even how to draw the Winx. Everyone has their thing. These reasons are for those that ever wonder why there isn’t a “Winx of a different body shape” and just adding some extra notes.

Season 1 Episode 11- The First Finale
This season was a standard bearer for finale collections to come.  All three showed a distinct point of view and what designers could do with reasonable amounts of time and money.  Not every collection was perfect but they all did have their redeeming qualities and pieces.
Side note: I will go to my grave defending Wendy regarding the Wendy Pepper situation.
Onto the collections
3. Wendy
This collection was the epitome of Wendy Pepper.  There were many things both wrong with and, but also many things quite beautiful and refined.  As a designer she never really found herself on the show, vacillating between her aesthetic and what she thought the judges wanted to see from her.  She was truly a designer who designed for the American woman who didn’t need crazy silhouettes or outrageous fabrics to feel bold an beautiful.  Rewatching this finale show, I liked it much better than I did the first time, though it is still not without it’s faults.  Could I be looking at it with rose colored glasses?  Possibly, but that’s the beauty of nostalgia.
Tumblr media
Like I said, she designs for the everyday American woman.  That coat, though puckered, is the definition of luxe and the color pallet is extremely rich in it’s tones.
Tumblr media
That jacket is everything and I really wish I owned it.  The sheen is a great contrast to the matte finish of every other piece in her first two looks.  The shirt and pants, though well made, are fairly basic.
Tumblr media
There is no reason for this to be at NYFW.  There is interest in the color and texture but the actual design is a 50′s throwback with no innovation.
Tumblr media
Part of the problem is that the model looks like a strung out heroin addict, and part of the problem is the actual design.  The skirt is a nothing piece and the top is a chewed up mess.  This also has no relation to her first 3 looks.
Tumblr media
It was smart of her to add a suit to her collection, but this suit was a bad decision.  It’s pretty basic in its cut and finishing and the fabric is turning me off big time.
Tumblr media
Now we enter the gown portion of Wendy’s show which has no relation to the first half.  The problem was her show was too disjointed for a 10 look showing.
This dress from the back is cute and I like the fabric play, but the front is sloppy.  I don’t get her obsession with rouching down the sternum.
Tumblr media
Benjamin would get eliminated in season 11 for creating this same look out of the same fabric FOR A 70 YEAR OLD WOMAN
Tumblr media
The abrupt change is fabric is a bit jarring, especially because it is literally an inch below her waist.  This color though...she needed to run with it, it was in the best pieces in her collection.
Tumblr media
Wendy’s finale piece was stunning, and is my favorite thing Wendy made on the show.  The corset is interesting as it a new take on the corset and the proportion of the skirt is perfect.  And I can still tell this this a Wendy’s look as it mixes sportswear fabrications with elegant designs.
2. Kara Saun
It seemed like Kara had this thing in the bag considering her astounding success with the judges on the show, winning four challenges and never being in true trouble with the judges.  Her shoes were clearly in breach of the contract and if I were Tim Gunn and the producers I would have made her nix them the day of the show.  The actually clothes in her collection were very good, and would have probably won if she created one cohesive collection.  She created two collections, one of 40s menswear and one of gorgeous evening gowns.  They just didn’t mesh.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately it looks more like a costume than a fashion show.  Get rid of the hat and pair that jacket with a pairof brown cigarette pants and that jacket would sing.  I love the colors.
Tumblr media
This dress is gorgeous and has absolutely no relation her first look outside of color.  I can see them in the same collection if we has some transition in between.
Tumblr media
Why were this look and her opening look separated by a gown?  This is much less costume and shows serious detail work. Just get rid of the hat again.  I could see many women wearing a version of this as a jacket.
Tumblr media
Back to gowns.  This is less successful than her first gown,  The cut of the top makes her hips look big and it doesn’t look fitted properly.  The bow adds enough drama to make it suffice-able.
Tumblr media
This is the best of her 40′s pilot inspired looks.  The jacket is divine as is the top underneath.  I love the metallic green of the pussy bow and sleeves.  That cropped pant length surprisingly works on her this look.
Tumblr media
Had she used a piece like this to transition from her pilot looks to gowns I would have liked the show as a while much better.  The belt is a bit much but I love that she was able to show so much skin up top yet still create a classy cocktail dress.
Tumblr media
The length of the hem bothers me, but other than that this is a solid entry.  It just doesn’t wow me.
Tumblr media
When Kara gets it right she really gets it right.  This was my favorite looks of her collection and I would fight for that jacket.  The fur placement at the elbows should never work, but she made it work.
Tumblr media
It’s the same top she has made at least twice before in this collection, and shirt doesn’t add anything new.  The fur on top is bulky.
Tumblr media
It is gorgeous and red carpet ready, but it doesn’t wow me.  They were referencing Gucci with this look all episode and I couldn’t agree more.  It is still a wonderful finale piece.
1. Jay
I am a sucker for three things: A bold runway, saturated colors, and cozy winter wear, all of which Jay possessed.  This show was not without it’s faults but overall it is one of the best in PR history.  He was able to make 10 distinct winter wear looks without it ever getting repetitive and even incorporated a gown.  And the idea to use the headphones was genius as it gave his entire collection a cool girl vibe.  Loved it.
Tumblr media
My least favorite piece of his collection.  I don’t like the color of the wrap and the skirt to legging proportion is off.  The design of the wrap is cool, I just wish this was in a bright yellow instead of gold.
Tumblr media
I have a love hate relationship with this look.  I love the colors, the top and the leather belt, but I hate the skirt.  2004 was an interesting time. This look also seems odd in the context of the super saturated artificial colors of the rest of the collection.
Tumblr media
Full transparency: I HATE pins. Don’t ask my why I don’t know, it’s just a taste thing for me. That being said everything else about this look is killer.  The fest is cool and hits his model in all of the right places.  The pant’s are cool and slouchy and go well with the relative sleekness of the top underneath.
Tumblr media
A few times in Jay’s collection you get a breath of fresh air and this is one of them.  It is such a soft and whimsical look, yet I could see a hip New York woman rocking it.  And the fabric manipulation of the skirt is 100% Jay.
Tumblr media
It’s no secret that Jay knocked it out of the park with his blue section.  This probably my favorite look of the entire finale and set a standard for future seasons.  It oozes luxury.
Tumblr media
That print is killer and goes great with the rest of his collection.  It is for a younger audience than the rest of his collection for sure but you need that.  My only issue is the massive cuff on the jeans, it makes her look short.
Tumblr media
One of the more successful hoodie looks on Project Runway.  I wish this was in a bright saturated color to make it a little more special, and those leg muffs are a no no.
Tumblr media
I love the use of this color to break up the dark blues and maroons, but the top is just too busy.  I think he was going for an airier look, but it just looks a bit tortured.
Tumblr media
Give me that coat.  Jay won ebcause he showed an extremely clear point of view as a designer: new American Sportswear with traditional high end techniques.  The way he quilted the leather and wool(?) together made for a truly special piece.
Tumblr media
I honestly can not find a flaw with this look, and I would consider it a near perfect dress on today’s project runway.  The way he integrated a red carpet gown so seamlessly into a winter collection without throwing a coat on it was amazing.  Only a few other designers (Sean and Ayana off the top of my head) have had such a striking closing piece.
