Kanera + that circus AU of yours, please?
THANK YOU FOR THIS HAVE A DRABBLE FULL OF BRAINROT
There was very little that Kanan loved more than performing. The rush of adrenaline before he stepped out into the ring, the warmth of the flames swirling around him as he spat flame into the air and made it dance for the entrance audience. It held a magic like almost nothing else.
He loved it. And the one thing he loved more was watching Hera perform.
To be fair, he loved watching Hera even in the most mundane of circumstances— when she was making coffee, or helping him wash up after dinner, or looking after her psychotic horse. Even when they stayed up, late at night, coming up with ideas to save the circus that would never work in a thousand years, he found himself watching her. Her expressions, the way her brow furrowed and her fingers tapped against her coffee mug when she thought. The way her face softened in a very particular way when she talked with Ezra.
But when she performed… it was more than magic. It was transcendent, watching her gallop around the arena, performing tricks on the back of a speeding horse that made his heart skip a beat just to see. But more than anything, it was the smile she wore at the end. Not the one she gave the crowd, the dignified yet warm smile of Hera Syndulla, trick rider extraordinaire.
No, he meant the one that she gave him, the exhilarated grin that she shot his way as she led Chopper back to his stall. The smile that said, Did you see that? I did what no one thought I could do, what is supposed to be impossible.
Kanan had fallen in love with that smile, and he suspected he fell even deeper in love every time he saw it. Which was why he always stayed to watch Hera’s act, no matter what. Even when he couldn’t see any more, he stayed to watch.
Wild horses couldn’t drag him away.

SWR: Corrupt Circus. Au where the Ghost Crew are all performers in a circus run by a cruel ringmaster. Each one tricked and trapped in the prison disguised with entertainment. Ideas: Kanan, a blind man that can tell you your future. Ezra, a shapeshifter for a kids petting zoo. Sabine, an artist that will does caricatures and face-painting. That’s all I got.

Zeb amd Ezra in the circus AU, please?
Hehehe I shall answer this one before I head into work today, as a treat!! For context: this is set when Ezra was really young, but had already lost his parents. This is part of how he first became part of this circus!
“Don’t move, kid.”
Ezra looked up at the man balanced up above him, holding onto the bars of the cage. “Are you a trapeze guy?” he asked, eyes widening. “That’s AWESOME.”
“Yeah, yeah— listen, take my hand.”
“I’m okay down here, thanks,” Ezra said cheerfully.
“Oh, for kark’s—”
“Don’t scare him, Zeb,” the woman standing nearby said, her voice the kind of calm that didn’t sound completely real. Like she was scared of something. “Just take things nice and easy.”
The man glanced back down at Ezra, then nodded. “Right. Kid, you gotta come with me.”
Ezra frowned. He kind of liked it in the cage— he’d snuck in here to stay out of the rain. It was dry, and curled up next to the other occupant, he was warm.
“We’ll feed you,” the man added.
Well, that changed things. Ezra was extremely hungry. “Okay,” he said, hopping to his feet. The minute he took the man’s hand, he was yanked up and out of the cage.
Below him, the lion stirred a little, but didn’t wake.

HERA BEING A TRICK RIDER IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA. do you have any more headcanons for her?
THANK YOU I AM VERY VERY PROUD!! And if you're talking about this au, I do! (if you're talking generically, the answer is also yes lol)
Hera joined the circus as a trick rider when she was around 17 or 18. Kanan joined a year or two after
She's been with them pretty consistently for about... *pauses to math* eight or nine years when Sabine joins them. However, she's had times where she leaves for one thing or another, usually to help people
Zeb (the trapeze artist) had a bad fall once, and Kanan and Hera temporarily took over for him. (Hera learned because it felt like flying and Kanan learned because Cal Kestis, his childhood friend, dared him to)
Hera has one other horse-- Phantom! The Ghost is her ancient truck, which she's kept living for years because she's an incredible mechanic (Kanan calls her a miracle worker)
When Sabine joins the circus, she takes charge of the costumes, and redesigns Hera's to look like a bird (because flying). I'm torn between it being a phoenix, a bird of prey, or some kind of cool looking green bird

Platonic sebezra, circus au?
Oh-ho-ho I did NOT expect this prompt to take root the way it did. Ahem. But here's a little ficlet that doesn't even begin to touch the depths of brain rot you've given me
“You’re the new tightrope walker, right?”
Sabine didn’t look up from lacing up her shoes as she replied, “Looks like it.”
This wasn’t where she’d expected to be— a circus in the middle of nowhere, barely breaking even. Clearly, it wasn’t as popular as it used to be. Everything made that clear, from the worn out waistcoat that the ringmaster had been wearing when he hired her and the threadbare costumes hanging on a rack near her, to the fact that the tent was still nearly empty, and it was fifteen minutes until show time.
But she’d gotten stuck, and she needed the money. And luckily, she was good at more than one thing. Tightrope walking would be easy.
Rising, she turned towards the arena— and froze, coming face to face with a lion.
Her instinct was to scream, her second to run or fight. But instead, Sabine deliberately tensed her muscles, feeling the panic race through her, silently counting to five. When she reached five, she let out a long exhale, then lifted an eyebrow at the orange clad boy standing behind the lion.
“Let me guess,” she said. “Lion tamer?”
He grinned. “How’d you guess?” With a quick whistle, he called the lion back, and it settled next to him, looking like nothing so much as an over large cat. “I’m Ezra, and this is Jasmine.”
“Sabine. This how you greet all your new coworkers?”
Shrugging, Ezra said, “Only the ones who can handle it. And it looked like you could. Besides, it’s a good test of who’s going to stick around.”
Sabine had no intention of sticking around. This job would, hopefully, get her enough money to make it to her next destination, and then she would move on.
But for now, she just nodded. “Looks like I passed.”
“Looks like it,” Ezra said with a grin. “Welcome to Circus Spectres.”
