She wasn’t paying attention to where she was going.

All the selkie was focused on was hiding.  The person that had been after her wasn’t letting up in their pursuit -- and she was beginning to tire.  She was new to the city, didn’t know her way around -- didn’t know anyone to ask for help.

In her rush, she collided into a stranger.  She stumbled back and ungracefully hit the ground.

She looked up at them and the first thing she noticed was their missing arm.  The second thing she noticed was their weapon.

“Eg tørvi tíni hjálp!”  She was panicked and so she reverted to her native tongue without realizing.  “Gerið so væl!”

timeline

born a nightblood Torvi wasn’t given much of a childhood even before being sent to polis, while some parents hid their children from the flamekeepers or handed them over reluctantly Torvi’s wanted nothing more than a trigeda commander. to give her the any advantage possible her training started even before the flamekeepers came.

in the walls of polis Torvi trained along side Lexa, Luna and the rest of the noviciates, unlike the others she hated it. hated being told what to do, where to be, when to speak. being commander never interested her anyway so when she heard Luna had ran she couldn’t be the fool who stayed.

where Luna found her rig and peace along side it Torvi went the other way, she spent her years surviving in the forest killing most she came across. she found a friend of sorts in the form of a trishanakru girl, Ankara.

after Torvi sees the smoke indicating Lexa has passed she asks Ankara about how it happened after hearing about Ontari cheating she heads back to polis for the first time in eight years, she was eleven when she left. she challenges Ontari and since Clarke ran off with the flame she has no choice but to fight. Torvi ascends at Clarke’s capture and holds both Clarke and Murphy prisoner until Pike is brought to polis.

Ankara kom trishanakru // Torvi isn’t exactly the talkative type so from the outside her relationship with Ankara would seem to be nothing more than an acquaintance, however for a long time Torvi considered her to be her only friend, despite the sexual nature of their relationship.

Lexa kom trigeda // though they were pinned against each other as children Torvi had a respect for Lexa, a respect that played a factor in her return to polis.

John murphy // an unexpected relationship would be an understatement however in the time between Torvi’s arrival at polis to Clarke’s return then to Pike’s appearance her and John became rather close eventually asking him to stay when Clarke leaves. a request he accepts. she eventually kills him believing “love is weakness”.

Gaia kom trigeda // after Titus’s suicide Gaia emerged to carry on the spirit of the commanders. it’s rough going at first but Torvi comes to listen to her.

other

my timeline and plot goes quite off from the shows but Torvi does die before pramfaya. however pramfaya is delayed by a few years and the buildup is also slower since i do not follow the alie storyline.

Torvi is very much considered the ideal grounder in the sense that she believes love is weakness, she is a strong warrior and she is always willing to go to war. however she respects Lexa’s wish to bring skaikru into the coalition, a decision much better accepted by azgeda once Roan is king
