Is it reasonable to rise prices on commissions for stuff you have trouble drawing? Like for instance I’m not good at drawing females so it would take me more time to complete bc I’ll need to look at more references and take more time to refine it than a normal piece. I feel that it should be a reasonable thing to do? Especially since if I do raise the price of it I’ll know anyone who is still interested must really want a drawing of a girl which shows me they don’t care about me possibly fucking up…

#i have to ask bc I’ve been on the fence about opening commissions for a while #but I’m not sure if my level of talent meets some folx standards so wouldn’t easing prices only in the things I’m not comfortable with be #an okay thing to do? #idk… #yeah one thing holing me back from doing commissions is fucking up or losing interest… #people pay for that shit and yet?? i see people who are newbies (and no offense to them but I feel compared to some I have more skill) #but they still have people coming over to them for commissions so why not me?? #I wonder if it has to do with how often they post and how much they engage with their followers #yo one thing I miss about Insta is that it was sO easy to engage with followers #Twitter and tumblr is a quiet void #I know it’s weird for someone to say Twitter is quiet but yo I got 32 followers and barely any reactions #tbh tho I don’t post much there bc I dont shoot out art super fast anymore #sky’s texts
