Ian Rider Was Not Training a Spy, He Was Protecting His Remaining Family the Only Way He Knew How
Ian Rider loved his nephew. It’s a given with the way he is remembered in the books and yet again with how he is portrayed in the recent show. He took every safety precaution with his nephew, the beginning of Stormbreaker meticulously goes over how Ian was a stickler for safety. Even though he was quiet and self-contained, he kept up with Alex’s schoolwork and hired Jack so he wouldn’t be alone while Ian was gone (a huge move, considering most kids whose parents are always gone for work just leave takeout in the fridge, or some microwaveable meals)
It was said Alex was a handful growing up, and suggested that the best way for him and Ian to connect was through sports. Ian, whose job was very physical, could give Alex’s energy a run for its money.
Considering the languages Ian had Alex learn is interesting in itself. Ian had the means and opportunity to teach his kid useful life skills. Children who grow up knowing more than one language tend to do better and have greater opportunities. Ian was always traveling, so having Alex learn local languages and customs makes sense on many levels. Ian making Alex argue only in certain languages, or ask for permission in others was most likely thrown in as a funny throwaway line. Examining it more, it’s a useful way to ensure Alex retained his ability to use that language when there was no one else around who could speak it.
Now, Alex’s parents were killed by Scorpia as direct retaliation for John being an MI6 spy. Both Helen and John were killed because of his job. Little Alex was saved because of an ear infection that meant he was unable to fly.
Picture this: You are Ian Rider, a single man whose brother and sister-in-law were just assassinated, and have been given guardianship over your only remaining family. A baby, your baby.
You are Ian Rider. You are also a spy, you carry the same title that got your brother and your nephew’s mother killed. You look to your last remaining family and realize that you’re all he’s got left, as much as he’s all you’ve got.
You are Ian Rider and most of your family was killed by a man they trusted.
Ian wanted Alex to always be safe, and maybe that means teaching him advanced self defense in case Ian’s job or the Rider surname ever compromised them. Maybe that means making sure he’s prepared for any situation, so that when time catches up to Ian, Alex won’t be so unprepared to save himself.
Yes, the skill sets are similar. When you fight fire with fire, you begin to notice similarities.
Finally, let’s examine who says what. It is stated by Jones that Ian was training Alex for this. Consider the source. MI6 was making plans to use Alex before Ian’s body was even cool. They wanted him bad. What better way to pull at the heartstrings of a child than to insist that this is was his recently deceased parent would have wanted. MI6 are unreliable narrators. In fact, most adult characters in the book series are shown to be unreliable narrators. Blunt and Jones play the field. They are, after all, master spies. Anything they say that is supposed to look like the truth should be taken with a whole box of salt.
A parting question: Why would Ian train his nephew for something he worked so hard to keep him away from? Ian never once let his cover story slip. Even when Alex was old enough to understand, he kept it from him. Why? Perhaps because he wanted Alex to grow up and have a normal life, and to choose a normal career. If Ian had really wanted this for Alex, there most likely would have been more career-tailored ways of going for it.
TL;DR Ian Rider love him nephew.

10 Affordable Gravel Bikes For 2019 / 2020. From $800 To $1300.
Hi friends after the top 5 gravel bikes you’ve been asking me about some cheaper bikes ok am I still this verge is the top facts I’m interesting and unique bikes and today $1,000 dollars bike which is not easy to find unless it would be some outdated road bike with more tire clearance but I have found 10 for you of course besides the big brands like track Scout specialized and others I just want to show you what I’ve been searching through it was felt it was cube it was cube 2020 it was yes Centurion it was Canyon it was rad on it was BH bikes Roza bikes Ridley bikes ghost bikes so many brands have been I’ve been going through and searching for a $1000 bike and as I say it’s not very easy but there are some interesting bikes and so this is really a comparison of bikes which will cost you about $800 up to $1,300 and I must tell you those bigger the online cycling stores are doing pretty good in building their own bikes and so the first one this is just in no particular order is the Merlin mouths g1 tire rock gravel bike 20 2,700 pounds so it will be a below $1,000 and this is quite good bike why is it so because it has an alloy frame with a full carbon fork and when you look at here it says full carbon we’ve got through axle front and rear we’ve got disc brakes and we’ve got not the cheapest but the Shimano Tiare group sets it’s not even the Shimano Sora let’s me let me remind you the Shimano klaris is the cheapest one than Shimano Sora then Shimano tegra so having Shimano diagram on the bike with full carbon fork through axles an alloy frame for 700 British pounds or less than way less than $1,000 it’s a very good deal so Merlin cycles good job there are some ports for the cables I was checking it out because sometimes they just make a hole in the frame but this one is made in pretty well you can see some some tire clearance for the wider tires but it’s not too much when you watch their little video here they say it I think it’s up to 38 see it’s so it’s not too much on the gravel bikes many of you would like to have more than this so the bike comes with Kenda quick thirty five and I think you can put put up to thirty eight millimeters I’m not able to memorize all data about all the bikes just just to sum up those in this short video just check it out make sure that that 38 see let’s say if this is the maximum for this bike is enough for you otherwise it’s a great deal at least on the paper the second one Jaimee’s when I’m talking about some more affordable bikes for you Jamie’s bikes always comes up because this is a grab a bike for nine hundred dollars and it’s a pretty sweet bike it does not have the carbon fork though it does not have the through axle at the front I am 100% sure this will change but so far for nine hundred dollars you you’re getting sweet looking bike with one two three four and on the other side five bottle cages mounts or low rider’s Beck’s mounts which is really good the Merlin didn’t have it on the fork so when you’re going for some longer travels you want to have these amount adapters on the fork even though the fork is 6:06 one aluminum and no thru-axle but the clearance is for 700c 42c or 650 be by 47c tires so it is probably way more than on the Merlin mouth in the malt g1 so this is it this is quite well fare out bike the specs here we are getting Shimano klaris so we are going to group-sex lower than on the merlin still fine just make sure that those cables are clean and the shifting will be very very crisp but you are having 8 speed cassette on the Shimano T Agra drivetrain you are getting the 10 speed cassettes of ten gears at the rear so this is the second one you definitely check this out Jamie’s bikes the third one is also the cycle store the rebel cycles rebel cg r al blue it is a good-looking bike it will cost you more this is one thousand British pounds or about two hundred to twelve hundred and fifty and a dollar so this is more and what you’re getting here is the aluminum frame full carbon fork we don’t have any mounts on the carbon here that’s a pity I mean you’ve got the mounts for the racks and fenders but no low rider mounts you do have these two additional mounts for the bottle cage just beneath the main tube and then the Shimano what is this yeah we’ve got the tiara it’s like mixed here because it doesn’t come with no it comes also with the Chia Graham change it so pretty good not as good spec wise as on the Merlin but it looks quite quite nice and the tires what are the tires it comes with 28c so that’s why why tires are important because 28c on the loose gravel will just cut through and get stuck I would say 30 to see which I have 33 Shiite I think on my cycle goes bike I would say this is a minimum for a loose pack if you’re riding on such a ground and if you’re heavier Rider if you want to go fast on a raft terrain and you don’t a puncture you want to have more so 42 is great 45 is great 38 is cool but this is not so much this is 28 see if you have rebel cycles near you if you just like the look of the bike 1,000 pounds is still ok this is Shimano checkered let’s go further this is how you can pack all this stuff on your gravel bike without any additional racks and these are the lowrider adapters I love those in this case they’ve put the bottles on the on the fork and the big huge bag just within the bigger triangle on the frame this is really cool and that’s the GT grade elite $1000 aspects are not great Shimano clarice aluminum frame and then a current fork and wait a minute great carbon fork with tapers carbons – yeah this is full carbon fork and we’ve got the through axles both front and rear this is looking pretty good the back itself looks like this this is the GT design here so the third super little tiny triangle here and we’ve got one mount on the top tube one mount but you can also decide how how high your bottle will be here on the main tube then one here I don’t think there is one beneath because we have the sternal cables which is great guys and then we have these here is it just one that’s interesting maybe they just use some special bottle bottle cage well that was the carbon version and that might be on the carbon version guys this is the kindnesses the carbon version much more expensive but this is the other one no this is the carbon one this is the other one yeah so this is interesting why there’s one one bolt here so great elite GT great elite $1000 okay not great in terms of the spec but but okay and the tires here are a B BB D who are the tires my friends don’t disable the tires that will be pity for chain pedals this is very important especially for the gravel bikes no info here weird this is so weird clearance and tires my friends should always be put on the websites let’s continue that’s the Fuji and Fuji jari 2.5 cost $900 has aluminium everything meaning the frame and the fault but you can see you’ve got the mounts on the top tube we’ve got the mounts here 2 months here mmm I think there are some mounts here yes on just beneath the the main tube and you’ve got the low riders and mounts on the fork the fork is full aluminum so aluminum steel aluminum blades it doesn’t look so cool but it is a $900 new gravel bike and the specifications are Shimano Clara is mixed because the chain set doesn’t come from Shimano Clara’s it’s something even cheaper so not great but yes you can buy a bike for $900 it will be just okay do we just find just okay I think it will lose the comparison to the Merlin malt Jiwon but it’s there if you like Fuji if you like the look of this bike there you go $900 grab a bike now I’m counting this as one this is Marion bikes Martin – Todd it has two version cashed out X and Gestalt I had been testing guests out actually I bought it and my my family is riding this bike Allie frame in on this Gustad also a life or you can buy a little bit more expensive version with the carbon fork and it’s just okay the tires are 32 the crank set is FSA tempo it’s it’s not a good and stiff cranks that I don’t like the crank set very much but it’s okay and then the claire is kind of a drivetrain on the bike the geometry is cool I mean the geometry on most of these bags will be just okay you can compare I actually I would I would be comparing the geometry of all of these bikes to the Merida Alex I’m gonna show you at the end because it is really well made for the gravel riding – dot X has bigger type clearance and it already comes with 30 see the 37 see tires but this is the $1,300 a bike and the gushed out the basic one is just eight seventy and then also I’m counting this as one even though these are two bikes but same brand still no road specific bars but still fou carbon fork 850 pounds and a British pound so about $1000 this is the Vitis and pretty nice spec and the tires on this one are 38c Shimano Sora it it’s a cool looking bike really clean design I do like it no mounts for the low riders we can say this is this is not a 100% gravel bike you can use it though as a grabber back maybe you need a more of a commuter bike still this one will do on the gravel and then Vitus energy it’s actually a cyclocross bike so this is not like the new Styles new style gravel bike no mounts here no mounts here but yes Vitus has one for 1,000 British pound so $1,250 SRAM apex it’s okay and the tires are 35 see the geometry might be a little bit too low for super long rides though this one I’m counting as one as well this is the Bianchi via near on 7 alert it’s weird because this is called same as this one pioneer on 7 all road but one comes with both both both come with the claraz8 speed drivetrain but we have different different spec for example this one has 35 see tires and this one comes backed with very to see tires so compare these two but yes Bianchi has also something cheaper on the alloy frame and finally 2 brands is Kenny’s bikes I brand that that has some dealers in your country then check out the Kelly’s suit 3 it comes with the Clarisse drivetrain or even the whole group set and really white tires these are these are for EC you can really do some nice gravel riding on on this bike here are some cool pictures so this is a true gravel grinder even though no mounts for lowriders Hyundai on the fork nice looking also just see this is how it looks like very clean looking new design through axles cool bike and then the Morita Silex of course it comes with the carbon frame as well but the the alloy one is something about $1,000 lowriders three bottle cage mounts and the great geometry usually when the bike has such a high head to be doesn’t look good but they’ve made a beautiful main tube hydrophone here looking like a carbon one and so this part of the bike actually looks clean and nice the the fork is great they’ve done a great job with the fork and so geometry for long distance rides for sure I’ve been doing hundreds of kilometers on this bike and I’m my trip three days trip on the carbon version is just coming up you can also you can also use 650b wider types for this one but it comes back with the 38 C which is already nice with of the of the tire so these are the 10 bikes that are much more affordable just new out of the box or out of the store and these are just their MSRP prices probably you will get some of those bikes at least a little bit cheaper but this is something to compare to maybe other brands or models that you are looking at there you have there you have it ten affordable gravel bikes as always let me know what would you like to see next .

JAnderson ME Blog 31 Dec 2018
I have spent the last two weeks delving into aspects of music production that are key areas of development in preparation for making the album next year.  This focussed on familiarising myself with the plugins, effects and processors available in Waves and key techniques such as sidechaining using Klofpgeister and other ways using a kick compression.  There are some other methods such as using a blank trigger track. I have particularly concentrated on using Vocal Rider and Izotope’s Vocal Doubler and automating the ride.  A key learning area has been enhancing vocal tracks away from the main track with chorus, doubling and stereo widening so that the effects have been completed away from the main track to ease the processor usage and reduce artefacts.   This has been especially effective on some tracks I am making for composing and arranging but will benefit my knowledge prior to producing for Psynergiser Dance.  Logic has a great new feature called Smart Tempo.  I have watched some videos and became more adept in its usage especially for stretching audio.  Once tempo and constancy is set, anything new that is added to a project will be adapted to the project tempo.  It is not perfect but saves much time and processing.  Another key element I have learnt is how to import other logic projects into an existing project in case I want to bring a pre made channel strip or track or region into another song.  This is great but can get mind bogglingly complex if you haven’t saved and organised your work well enough to find what you are after.  Hence much work has been done on organising the external hard drive, creating my own logic templates and also a bank of pre made channel strips especially for aux and sidechaining tracks.
The marketing material is practically finished and has an end date of 5 Jan ready to mass email festivals for festival work.  I have looked at flyer designs and have researched across a range of designers, design websites and artist’s pages.  This led me to look at other sound designers websites and social media presences such as Damon Kastbauer, Tales of a Sound Designer as well as other field recording artists and also links to Brian Eno for ambient sounds.   Many likes and other joining of similar groups about sound design and some more memberships of music production related forums have been undertaken.  It is such a massively saturated field out there that sometimes the optimism about offering something unique gets a bit knocked.   My focus is to fine tune the psytrance sound to be more aligned with the dancer’s requirements and what fully provides for a trance experience.  I am still not able to articulate what that is as yet but it is narrowing and I know what to look for.
There are some amazing artists out there in the psytrance world such as Alex Gray.  Once I choose the cover design I will look at paying for the image and ensuring acknowledgement is made as to the source. In the past I have not made contact with the original artist but this time I will make respectful contact to ensure I have their permission and have paid if necessary.

BAND: ANTEFATTI
COUNTRY: ITALY
