I wouldn’t expect to be offered food if visiting someone’s house???

#glad this whole thing is bringing attention to issues and social justice causes that need more attention in Sweden #but the whole food thing is wild to me??? #my family always offers people food when they come over like as a kid #but I wouldn’t expect to be offered food at someone else’s house? #it’s not like you’re there for many days? #just a couple hours #plus like why eat someone else’s food you don’t know how they make it or have any input on what is being served or how that family conducts #their dinners it’s quite nerve wracking and uncomfortable when u simply can eat #when u get home??? #who gets hungry every few hours??? (barring medical conditions which of course are exempt) #maybe it’s just that I have weird relations to food but #I knew Americans liked large portion sizes and left overs #didn’t realize I was missing that they also love feeding people? I mean I’m #from New Jersey I’m Italian I guess I just slipped through the cracks here #it feels weird and wrong to eat at someone else’s house just wait for them to finish? #gravical #like snakcking is on thin ice if it’s just u and ur friend #or like a birthday party with multiple people and multiple parents
