I'm watching craig of the creek and these kids basically published and created a fucking book? That so neat I love it

One of the kids wrote a novel and they created a cover and an author photo and put a cover on it and a kid in the library helped get some barcodes so they snuck copies, multiple books, into the library for kids to find and I love it all a lot

#rip someone made fun of it while i was typing this so shes upset now #anyways regardleds this is a good show i really enjoy it its so sweet #these kids are so creativd #also this show is got a really good mix of realistic this and also the imaginary elements #its got code name kids next door vibes but its pretty differebt #oh shit someone else the girl who helped her publish the ones book made her own #ans snuck them into the library thats so sweet #also its very likely that theres some baby bis and gays in this show which is sweet #and then actual canon teen and adult gays #goth lesbians in fact #tag rambles #dont mind me

So i remember reading house of night in like high school and with nothing else to read during bath time i decided to pick it up again and like ... Omg? Why is it so bad? I can appreciate the lore and culture of the vamps, i think its the only part i find interesting and well written, but everything else is horrible? The characters are all generic for one thing and even for vampires way to perfect. And Zoey is literally one of the worst people ever? She calls every girl she sees even kissing a slut meanwhile having 500 boyfriends at a time. Oh and she gets mad that they are upset at her for having affairs? Then she, and of course the writers for making her that way, is just super problamatic in everyway. She said in the time of one chapter that Aphrodite was "bucking up like she thought she was black" and then casually mentions her friends being gay so that the new guy could get over the shock factor of their being f*gs around. Like are you fucking kidding me? Dont even get me started on how they depict the gay couple. Literally over half their dialouge and personalities are made up of this fact/stereotype. All the characters tend to boil down to two or three traits though. Except Zoey whose only development is that shes perfect but doesnt think she is but everyone else sees it. Also she makes all the boys stupid and aggresive and mean most of the time. Meanwhile most girls are seen as shopping or boy obsessed. I might chalk this up to just bad writing though. Just super immature writing that you can just tell the writers were thinking they were being cool and unique by trying to write from the mind of teenagers but it just turned out like a bad creativd writing assignment. Just a lot of problems overall and i dont think i am going to be finishing reading the series again.
