I'm not in NYC but my state's air quality is being affected by the wild fires as well, so I'm not sure if I can make the carnival tonight! I'm immunocompromised so if it's too bad, I have to stay inside.

Running to get a HEPA air filter and some N95 masks today... I only have KN95 that I use in grocery stores/theaters/indoor public spaces but N95 is supposed to be best for these pollutants.

It is getting better from yesterday (it's now at "Moderate" instead of "Unhealthy") but apparently it's going to change throughout the day, so I just have to keep an eye out on the weather alert.
