Team Chaotix in Sonic Prime
My headcanons for what Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon and Charmy Bee are like in the Shatterspaces.
New Yoke City
Vector’s variant is called Missile (a missile is a vector, having direction and magnitude). He embodies Vector’s responsibility, practicality and seriousness. He was trying to make a difference as a teenage detective when the dystopian city appeared around him four years ago and it became clear that, with the Chaos Council’s control of the new justice system and law enforcement, the person he aspired to be would never make it. Of course he wants to fight, but the Council is brutal and their absolute power seems impossible to overthrow. He soon ended up with two children in his care, one only a toddler. If he got arrested, killed or roboticized, what would happen to them? If the three of them had the Council’s protection, on the other hand, as per the contract of an exclusive, specialized detective agency who would do whatever dirty work they were ordered to… he knows that those tyrants are the reason his kids have nobody else. He knows that the vast majority of people he leads the robotic police to don’t deserve any punishment, and none of them could deserve the cruel horrors they get. He knows that he isn’t a hero - that he may even be the exact opposite. And he hates it. But any money that keeps his family alive is money worth having, he’s regretfully decided. Big concepts like good and evil are none of his concern. He’s just trying to pay the rent. It’s too late to back out now, anyway. Now that the people are rebelling en masse and the Council is busy exploring the Shatterverse, he’s desperately waiting for things to stabilize and daring to hope against hope that some positive change occurs. And that the citizens don’t recognize the collaborateurs in their midst and turn on them.
Espio’s variant is called Trace. He embodies Espio’s stoicism and pragmatism. His ninja training was cut short - and his village razed and everyone he knew killed or taken prisoner - when the Chaos Council remade the world in their image. But he’s gained plenty of experience in stealth, deception, infiltration, espionage and combat working in the Chaos Detective Agency. Dishonour means nothing to a ninja. That’s what he tells himself, at least. On the outside, he’s reserved and aloof, a cold, ruthless foe. He will only show his family the slightest show of emotion. Internally, however, his repressed grief for his old family, community, home and life; guilt, shame and self-loathing due to his service to the Council; and years of accumulated trauma are brewing into a storm that he barely keeps contained under the surface. He’s afraid of his feelings burdening his teammates and distracting them from what’s most important: survival.
Charmy’s variant is called Sting. He embodies Charmy’s eagerness to be helpful and fighting spirit. He can’t remember anything except New Yoke and doesn’t understand much of how his society works, but he knows that his family’s work is very important to them being alive and wants to be a part of it. He does notice their stress and the general unpleasantness everywhere and can infer that circumstances could be improved. But their work being dangerous is all the more reason he should help! Teamwork makes the dream work, right? Danger just adds to the fun of stopping ‘bad guys’. He’s also terrified that if they leave him behind, they might not come back. So he kept breaking out and running away when Missile and Trace went on missions until they agreed to train him and let him join them. He revels in the thrill of action and finds people getting hurt amusing the way a six-year-old boy can, not emotionally connecting to anyone he’s told they need to catch and earnestly believing that their enemies must be in the wrong. He often imitates Missile when trying to be tough and intimidating.
Boscage Maze
Vector’s variant is called Reed. He embodies Vector’s optimism, lightheartedness and musical side, and tends to have his coarser manners too. He, the other two and Cream and Vanilla’s variants are in a different small tribe to the Scavengers and haven’t yet met them, so Thorn Rose didn’t banish them to the emergent layer; they are nomadic and moving toward the Scavengers’ territory. He’s cheerful and generous, always ready to raise the tribe’s morale. He can be immature and irresponsible at times, more focused on enjoying life and entertaining his companions than applying maximum effort to practical tasks. He’s highly resourceful when it comes to instruments and has invented drums and a reed flute. He loves to play them and sing. He’s also bold enough to flirt with Vanilla and the casual first stage of a romance is budding between them.
Espio’s variant is called Berry. He embodies Espio’s caution, wisdom and love of art and culture. Yes, that’s in this dimension. The tribe took him in after they crossed paths when he was eight, him having previously had to survive on his own for as long as he can remember. He’s mature beyond his years, highly knowledgeable about the forest’s flora and fauna, wary and prepared to defend his tribe from any threat using his carved flint blades and hand-to-hand skills. He used to find it difficult to relax, but has learned to unwind through playing a shamisen-esque string instrument Reed built for him and painting with plant pigments. While acutely aware of nature’s hazards, he can still appreciate its wonder and majesty and respects it.
Charmy’s variant is called Honey. He embodies Charmy’s innocent kindness, friendliness and trusting nature. He and Cream’s variant are best friends and adoptive siblings, since his parents entrusted their friend Vanilla with him when they left on an exploratory expedition in his infancy. They didn’t return. But Honey doesn’t mind. He has everything he needs right here. The one thing he can think of that would make his life better is a friend who can fly like he can.
No Place
Vector’s variant is called Bullion (because of precious metal and a male crocodile is a bull). He embodies Vector’s sharp intelligence, charisma, greed and courage. He left his home island in a modest but sturdy vessel, dubbed the Treasure Trove, to seek his fortune and established himself as a travelling merchant. Cunning, socially savvy and theatrical, he is willing to (if you insist on using such accusatory language) ‘scam’ customers and has an endless supply of get-rich-quick schemes. He and his crew live in a fiercely competitive, unpredictable environment full of pirates! Material wealth is essential! That being said, he isn’t all talk. He will brave high seas and stormy weather, chart uncharted waters and do business with anyone to obtain the best goods and things no other merchant is selling, and the genuine quality and rarity of a lot of his stock keep people endeared to him despite his rough edges and occasional bad deal. He takes pride in his competence as a salesman and seafarer and part of him is more fulfilled by honest work. Not that he’ll admit that. He’s very attached to his swashbuckling rogue self-image.
Espio’s variant is called Fathom (a measure of water depth and a verb for contemplative thought and understanding). He embodies Espio’s firm sense of morality and diligence. He met Bullion when the crocodile docked at his home island and, struck with wanderlust and needing a job to get by, Fathom offered to manage his finances with his advanced mathematical ability and do some manual labour. Bullion agreed, but it didn’t take Fathom long to figure out that he was both running a con and a broke mess. A weirdly likeable broke mess. In the aftermath of Fathom exposing the con, the customers angrily demanding refunds and the Treasure Trove being hastily undocked, they made a deal to support and protect each other, with Fathom promising to follow his boss’s lead on the strict condition that Bullion stayed on the straight and narrow. He’s a dutiful hard worker, patient and polite. He tries to remain calm and be civil to everyone no matter how wild things get. He grounds his crewmates, restraining their more energetic, eccentric and, most frustratingly for him, selfish and amoral behaviour. He knows they can be better. And when they are, it’s extremely rewarding. But they certainly test him - though he won’t deny that the motley crew all truly care about each other and would stick together through anything.
Charmy’s variant is called Dodger. He embodies Charmy’s mischievous, irreverent side. He was born to pirates and left at an orphanage on one of the larger islands, but could never follow rules or be satisfied with a simple, mundane life in one place. He wanted excitement, and usually made his own by causing trouble and playing tricks. He totally wasn’t lonely. One day he stowed away on a ship. His plan was to steal all the stuff he could carry on him and fly off. Bullion and Fathom, the sailors who caught him, took a liking to him and were hesitant to send him back to his boring, miserable old home once he explained his life before. They were nice and cool and made him feel wanted and like he belonged more than anyone else ever had, so he hung around. Bullion makes him do chores, but respects his pranking prowess and nerve. Fathom is a great listener and playmate, albeit sometimes a killjoy.

At the other side of the Light (THE END)
Watching as Tails took some advantage, the hedgehog gave him a few seconds before he decided to catch up with to his friend.
Thus, the hedgehog took the opportunity to run along the paths that he missed so much in GreenHill to the little fox's laboratory, thrilled to be able to run without all the obstacles that were in the Boscage Maze and breathing the clean air that contrasted so much with the one he had found in New Yoke.
"I'm home” he thought as he accelerated as much as he pleased, aware that it was not necessary to hold back, no matter how fast he ran, nothing could take him away from his home.
And by the time his friend's laboratory was getting closer and closer, he realized how long his path back home had been, having crossed jungles, seas and cities to get so far, he defined was happy to not ending up fragmented in the process.
Stopping right at the entrance to the old building, he turned around to watch his furry friend fly over to land in front of him.
So here's the last one of At the other side of the Prism!

Chapter 6: Situation: Grim
Machines patrolled the streets, a rebel soldier keeping watch as they passed by.
"Squad commander Blue, this is Squad Commander Red. Initiate operation: Cheese." she passed by, alerting the eggforcers.
"POSSIBLE REBEL SUSPECT. INVESTIGATION INITIATED." a robot said, heading into the alleyway.
"SCANNING FOR REBEL SOLDIERS..." they looked around, a light snapping on and revealing the resistance symbol spray painted onto the wall.
"RESISTANCE ICON IDENTIFIED." they registered before many resistance members got out of hiding, pointing their shooters at them.
"IT'S A TRAP."
"Now!" Red yelled, having the resistance blast at the machines while Tempest took charge, summoning her hammer and charging in.
Bullet ran to the top of the roof, clicking the headpiece he now had on. "Recording initiated..."
The resistance continued to blast back the machines.
"Eat plasma, you dirty bots!" a rebel said, continuing to shoot them down with the rest of their team.
A portal formed in the sky as a figure fell from it. Bullet noticed the figure, the recorder now following what that was about.
Shadow slammed into the ground, groaning a little.
"New Yoke City...? Did I just-"
Tempest let out a battle cry, knocking back eggforcers with her hammer. "For a better tomorrow! Who's with me?"
"... Oh."
Shadow yelped, dodging the bullets before getting knocked back by resistance members rushing forward.
"What's going on here?!"
"Shadow?!" Tempest exclaimed.
"I... I thought you died!"
"I... Didn't?" Shadow said. He wasn't sure why people thought he was dead- Oh. Of course, suddenly vanishing into nothing from touching the shard would cause this.
"Then what happened to you?" Tempest asked.
"I had no intention of leaving you. But-" Shadow stopped, already noticing Bullet. Tempest eyed him but focused on knocking back the machines.
"... Can we talk about this at a different location? Where there aren't any cameras?" he requested.
"Yeah, sure. Just help us defeat these bots."
"Got it." Shadow fired off chaos spears towards them.
Eventually, the eggforcers called a retreat. Bullet slipped back into the shadows, letting the resistance celebrate their victory.
"Okay, everybody scatter. And you better come with me." Tempest directed.
"Understood." Shadow followed after her, slipping into the resistance base through a tube.
"So... What happened?" she began, turning to him.
"I touched the shard, er... Your energy crystal, and I warped to another world, with another you, fighting another battle. And it was... A lot. It was a massive jungle, and that version of you was protecting it."
"I was...? I suppose I probably would if I was in her position... And what was Rebel's other version doing?"
"She was with a group up on the canopy because... You and her were kinda enemies?"
"What?"
"It was a misguided attempt to protect the jungle, but got the alternate friends to starve in the process."
"And how do we know you're not lying about this alternate world?" Tempest crossed her arms.
She observed Shadow trying to come up with an answer before noticing some small blades of grass and leafs stuck in his quills. She plucked a leaf out.
"... Yeah, you're not lying. These leafs aren't like vegetation we've seen in forever. I'll... Talk to Rebel about this, and show her the leaf. I'm sure she'd understand. So why don't you just... Wait outside for me?"
"Of course." Shadow waited as Tempest headed inside. He heard some faint mumblings from the other side for a few minutes before it stopped. Tempest opened the main room open, letting him follow her inside.
"So... How'd she take the news?" Shadow asked.
"She's... A bit confused, but the leaf was enough."
"Right, right..."
"You also need to fix your quills. They look like a mess."
Shadow paused, beginning to pick out anything stuck in his quills back from Boscage Maze. A few small twigs, a bunch of blades of grass, and a couple of leafs.
"... Huh. You must've been through a lot." Tempest pushed the doors open to the main resistance hallway.
"So... You finally decide to show your face around here again?" Rebel asked.
"Well... I didn't mean to warp to another dimension. Promise." Shadow said.
Rebel eyed him closely before she sighed. "Fine... Welcome back, Shadow."
"Thank you."
"Now, we need to get the Council to keep running low on resources and... Track down Venice."
"Venice? He's not here?"
"No. He took the energy crystal the moment you warped away."
"Oh. That... Makes sense."
"As long as he doesn't return with it, we can take down the Chaos Council for good. And then we'd get our home back..." Rebel gazed at the palm tree, staring at it.
Shadow paused, looking at the tree as well. Was this... The same one from back home that Amy showed him?
"It's a symbol of the life we deserve: Thriving and free."
"If we lose this fight, we'll have nothing left to fight for." Tempest said.
"Then I'll help in any way I can." Shadow said.
"First they steal our energy crystal. Now these ants decide to stand up for themselves! How dare they!" Eggman began.
Babble babbled, demanding what needed to be done.
"The baby is right. We won't rest until every last rebel has been sentenced to oblivion." Deep said.
"Or until our back up power runs out." Don't said.
Bullet returned to the Council's headquarters, entering through with the headpiece now in his hands.
"Shadow had returned." he began, tapping the button for the Council to see.
A portal formed in the sky as a figure fell from it. Shadow slammed into the ground, groaning a little.
The clip changed to the next as it zoomed into the situation a little.
"... That rodent appears to be smarter than we thought. Bullet, where did you last see him?" Deep questioned.
"In your district."
"Then let's smoke them out. Send in the bots."
"And gather as much data as you can on that hedgehog." Eggman added.
"Wait, it's been weeks here?" Shadow asked for clarification.
"Yes. And tonight, we finish what we started." Rebel said. Just then, the alarms went off as she looked at the security cameras.
"The Council found us? How?!" Tempest looked at the footage worriedly.
"Secure the tree! Everyone on top before our location is compromised!" Rebel commanded as everyone left. Shadow followed after them to the outside.
"THEY ARE SOMEWHERE HERE. CONTINUE THE ATTACK. WE WILL FORCE THEM OUT." an eggforcer said, their group continuing the march down the streets.
"Not on my watch, automaton." Red ducked behind some broken scraps, firing the first shot towards them.
More resistance members joined in as the robots blasted back at them. Shadow kept to the back lines, charging up a chaos spear, only to be thrown back by Bullet.
He skidded to the ground, getting up and warping towards the eggforcers and away from him.
"Chaos... Blast!" a blast erupted, destroying the machines around him. Bullet charged back at Shadow, continuing his attack and trying to knock him down and pin him there.
Tempest slammed her hammer into the eggforcers, only to get thrown back by Babble's mech.
She leapt onto the nearest wall and launched herself off of it, slamming her hammer into the center and sending it falling back. The mech spun a little before it's roulette selected red, firing a laser beam towards her.
Rebel swiftly picked her up and thrown her back to the mech, letting her pound it down with her hammer.
The rebels continued their pursuit before Deep arrived to the front lines, his sword drawn and blocking the attacks.
"Surrender the energy crystal, and we promise to make your demise quick and painless." he said.
"Yeah... That never works." Rebel drill kicked him back, flying up before Eggman's mech came into view.
She flew back down to the rest of the resistance, directing their attention to the three mechs now at the scene along with the eggforcers.
"We need backup!" Red said through her communicator as the resistance was getting more overwhelmed.
Just then, a portal opened as an aircraft flew in. Venice was flying it, keeping his hands on the handles.
"Shadow! Hang on!"
"Venice?" Shadow, Tempest, and Rebel all questioned.
"... Huh. So he can pilot an aircraft... Didn't know that."
"The hedgehog stole the shard. Get him!" Deep commanded as eggforcers blasted at him.
The aircraft blasted back the mechs from everyone and shot down the eggforcers. Everyone continued the fight, keeping the eggforcers and the mechs back.
"Where have you been?" Shadow called out.
"I've been... Busy. Come on!" he yelled back.
Shadow nodded, looking back at the resistance. "I'll be back. I just need to talk to Venice."
"Alright. We'll hold them here. Just make it back soon." Rebel said.
"I will." Shadow focused his energy.
"Chaos control!" he said, warping onto the wing of the aircraft. It opened up, letting him get inside before closing.
"Okay. I don't have much time to talk but- What are you doing?" the aircraft portaled out into a void-like place, full of dull crystals.
"... What is this place?"
"I call it the Shatterspace. The in-between for all worlds."
"That makes sense. Look, I need to know what exactly happened to you while I was gone in another world. Then I have to get back to the rebels."
"I've been busy. But you gotta tell me where you've been!"
"Okay, hm... I landed on the canopy in a jungle world called Boscage Maze, met the alternate versions of you, Tempest, Rebel, Bullet, and there was Blaze there too... Your alternate kept thinking I was an alien."
"Are you an alien?"
"... Part alien."
"Huh. Probably shouldn't tell other me that."
"Definitely not. Then I helped mend the relationship between the scavengers and Thorn, got warped back to New Yoke by dropping the shard and touching it again."
"... Are you normally clumsy?"
"No. No I'm not. Moreover, I keep getting distracted by Infinite and he keeps telling me things. Not sure what happened to him..."
"Oh... And then I suppose you talked to the resistance, they believed you, the base was compromised and a fight broke out, and then I came in to save all of you."
"... How did you guess that?"
"I might not be able to return to the future, but I have weird glimpses of future events weeks in advance back home whenever I sleep. That's how I found out."
"Oh. Alright then. Where are we going, exactly?"
"I have something to show you! You're gonna love it!" Venice flew the aircraft through the purple gateway before landing. He flew out of it, presenting the desolate and starry night of a world.
"Welcome to our bright new future. I call it: The Grim."
"... Yeah, that's fitting." he looked around, climbing out of the aircraft. He then noticed his gloves and shoes with their odd hexagonal patterns.
"Huh, fascinating... The tech seems to calibrate between worlds. It's like your connected to the shards, as if they know who you are and what you're capable of."
"That... Explains a lot. My shoes and gloves do get a redesign, but it's more of a high tech form blending into the surroundings."
"Got it."
"So... Are other people here?"
"That's one of the better parts. There's no one here! We can start over and get the world right. The world you lost, the future I can never return to reformed here, we can bring them back and make them a reality. For the two of us. Don't you wanna go home? This can be our new home! Just the two of us..."
Shadow paused, seeing Venice's hopeful and optimistic gaze. He knew how badly he wanted to return to the future, but...
Shadow just wanted to go home to the old world, with his friends there. He already began to miss everyone, not sure how to truly feel about it.
Venice wanted him to stay, but noticed how conflicted Shadow seemed to become.
"Are you okay, Shadow?" he asked, concerned.
"This place might be for you, but it's not for me. I'm sorry, but I made a promise to return to the resistance and keep the fight going. I appreciate the offer, but I'll have to decline." Shadow said, making up his mind.
Venice hesitated, eventually giving in and returning to his aircraft. "Alright... I'll help you get back, but I'm staying here."
He let the machine fire off another portal. Shadow looked at it, then at Venice one last time.
"I apologize for... Not wanting to do this with you. But I want to return to my real home. I hope you understand." he walked back through the portal and out of sight.
He felt himself flying through the void.
The resistance began to fall back, losing ammo. Tempest kept a tight hold on her hammer, despite how charred it was becoming.
The Eggman mech landed in front of them as the eggforcers directed their shooters towards them. Babble and Deep hovered behind Eggman's mech, backing up the resistance into a small group.
"Surrender the energy crystal." Deep began.
"Or tell us where the hedgehog went. We're not picky." Eggman said.
"We don't know where they went." Rebel said.
"And wouldn't tell you if we did!" Tempest said, her grip tightening so much her gloves were getting strained.
"Spill it, punks! Or we'll spill something else!" Eggman threatened.
"Nah, I have a better idea. Why don't you jerks line up and kiss my. Bright. Pink-" she stopped the moment the portal opened.
Shadow fired off chaos spears, throwing back the mechs to the distance. Babble's mech wailed, flailing it's arms around after getting thrown down.
"I'm back." Shadow skidded back to the resistance.
"Better late than never, at least." Rebel said.
Eggforcers blasted at them, with Bullet weaving through the crossfire and slamming Shadow into a wall. He pinned him there.
"The doctors want to know where you've just been."
"Why are you working with them?! I thought you'd be trying to help the resistance!"
"People have to make tough decisions sometimes."
"Like what?! Why would you submit to the council?"
"I needed to protect those flickies! They were in danger, and if I wasn't slow on the draw then maybe things would've turned out differently! What do you know about tough decisions, anyway?! You just came here from wherever and no one knows who you are! So what are you hiding?" Bullet said.
Shadow bit his lip in hesitation, unsure of what to say. Bullet was probably reluctant to help the council, probably forced to work with them to protect the flickies.
Meaning that there must be a green patch of land for them.
"... Is that why you don't turn on the Council? Because the council will punish you for it?"
"Punish as in... Use the flickies as those batteries? Yes."
"So you traded your freedom for their safety?"
"... Yes."
"Oh. Got it. But... Can you let me go so we can do a fair fight?"
"Only if you give me information on where you've been and what happened to you. Why were you so secretive?"
Shadow huffed, deciding to punch Bullet in the face. He fell back, letting go of Shadow. The ebony hedgehog tackled him to the ground, only to get blasted back by Eggman's mech.
He stumbled, regaining his balance before weaving around more lasers. He noticed the fight going on everywhere else, with Deep and Babble pinning down Tempest and Rebel respectively.
Eggman's mech deflected a chaos spear, sending it back to Shadow. He quickly dodged, the distraction long enough for him to grab him. He carried him back to the other mechs.
The doctor chuckled. "A noble effort."
"It wasn't noble. It was annoying." Deep said, pointing his blade closer to Tempest.
"Ugh! Enough games! Hand over the crystal, or we'll stick you in a hamster wheel and see how long you can keep the lights on before you drop." Eggman threatened.
Babble babbled, moving the mechs arms around as he wanted to already do something horrible.
"Pace yourself, Dr. Babble." Deep said.
Shadow narrowed his eyes, making sure to not utter a single word to these tyrants. They weren't worth his time, nor the entire universe to explain what just happened.
Eggman tightened his grip on Shadow, as he tried to get his hands free and flicker with chaos energy. Rebel was getting pressed down on the pavement by Babble's mech, and Tempest moved aside as the sword from Deep almost graced her head.
"You will talk, cretin. Or you will scream." Eggman glared down at Shadow.
"... No. I'm not telling you anything. You're not even worth my time." Shadow forced one of his arms out, using as much energy as he could before recharging by summoning a massive chaos spear.
He jammed it into the mech's head, breaking through it as it exploded, throwing Shadow back. He got back up, seeing the destroyed remains.
The aircraft suddenly flown through, shooting back Deep and Babble.
"Did he just do that portal again?" Deep asked.
"Venice! You're back! You should go." Shadow said.
"I should?" Venice asked, flying down to Shadow.
"Yes. The Council wants their shard, and they'll do anything to get it back. What we need is for you to go back to the Grim."
"On it. But I'm here to help. Then I'll go back."
"Alright."
"What's the situation, Shadow?"
"Eggforcers everywhere and coming from their headquarters. I managed to destroy Eggman's mech, but there's still Deep and Babble to deal with."
"We can handle them." Tempest said, falling back for a moment before charging in.
"Right. So you go high, and I'll go low."
"Understood." Venice flew the aircraft into the air, beginning to shoot down the incoming machines.
"Deep. I need to be picked up and returned to headquarters. You and Babble go after that hedgehog. We need that shard." Eggman said through the communicator.
Deep's mech flew over and picked him up, flying back as fast as it could to headquarters.
"Don't, Done-It. Prepare the Mothership." he commanded once he was fine.
Don't scoffed. "Fine. Whatevs."
Shadow continued to hold back Bullet as Tempest and Rebel kept fighting against the eggforcers.
Tempest slammed her hammer into Babble's mech, sending it flying back. The mech fired off more lasers, forcing her to dodge.
Shadow weaved around, grabbing a nearby metal pipe before throwing it at an eggforcer.
"What? Can't use your powers?" Rebel asked.
"No. I used all of my current energy. Do you have a weapon?"
Rebel handed over a shooter with a limited amount of energy left. "This only has a few shots left. Make them count."
"Got it." Shadow positioned the shooter, watching as Deep returned to the fight. He narrowed his eyes, focusing on one of the jets.
He took the first shot, breaking his suit and sending him crashing to the ground.
"Wow. You got an aim." Tempest complimented.
"I'm trained in many forms of combat and weaponry." Shadow said, pulling out a spare gun between his quills.
"... That explains it."
An army of eggforcers were deployed, shooting at the aircraft in the sky. Venice swerved back, firing at them as he continued to blast them down. A new Eggman mech was deployed, with him charging right towards him.
"Oh you gotta be kidding me." Venice remarked, flying up into the sky and shooting down at the mech. He swerved around, the two stuck in a shoot out.
"I've got this weasel on the run. Prepare for launch!" Eggman said.
The top of the headquarters lifted up, turning over and revealing itself as a massive Mothership.
Venice watched as the Mothership was positioned around the area, narrowing his eyes towards it. Eggman blasted at the aircraft, breaking one of its thrusters.
It spun around, with Venice quickly using his psychic powers to keep it in the air momentarily. He got out the shard and held it close, opening up the hatch and leaping out of it.
He flew away, keeping the shard and escaping just as the aircraft got locked in by the beam from the Mothership.
"... That didn't go so well- GAH!" Deep's communicator was cut off by the sound of lasers.
Eggman huffed. "We'll take the tech and figure out something else. Send all eggforcers after that hedgehog and shard. And bring him back alive. He'll prove to be very useful."
Venice flew down to Shadow just as the Chaos Council made their unfortunate retreat. The resistance cheered, with Tempest and Rebel walking over to the hedgehog duo.
"So... What now?" Rebel asked.
"Venice needs to take the shard somewhere safe." Shadow stated.
"I can't warp out of here like you can. Could you help?" Venice said, holding out the shard to Shadow.
He paused, looking down on it before placing his hand on Venice. He kept a close hold before touching the shard.
In an instant, he felt himself warp and lose his hold on Venice as he was sent flying through the void.
Well... At least that worked?
Bullet belongs to @son1c
