hey guys! it's been a while! finals week is almost but not quite over, but i just got my new computer cord after my cat chewed through my old one so i wanted to hop on and update you all as some big things have been happening lately, some of which affect the future of this blog.

to start: i'm doing okay. not great, but okay. i've been a mess, i'm still a mess, but the past three weeks have been pretty good, mainly because i've been hyperfocusing on playing a video game for twelve hours a day. if you messaged me on disco and i didn't respond, that's why.

and that brings me to the second point: my hyperfixation has changed. this... was inevitable, and i've kind of been dreading it since i started this blog. tw.ewy reached a record with an incredible almost two-year run, but all good things must end, and we're coming to that end.

i'm not sure what will happen now. i don't want to just abandon this blog, i really, really don't, i've built something incredible here and have integrated my joshua into the stories of other muses, and that's precious and important to me, so i'm going to do my damnedest to write on here every once in a while if possible. but i also know myself, and know that it's incredibly difficult for me to engage with old hyperfixations, no matter how much i love them, because the current one is just so all-consuming that there's no space in my head for anything else. and it sucks. i have no control over it, and it really, really fucking sucks. so realistically, this blog will probably end up being low-activity forever, with large stretches of no activity at all.

i love you all. thank you for giving me the chance to write with you, and to build such wonderful relationships and storylines with our characters.

that said, this isn't goodbye! not by any means! if we're friends, we're friends, i don't care how much or how little we write together, you're always welcome to just talk to me on disco! and if you do want to write with me more, well, isn't it convenient that my new hyperfixation is also a jrpg set in shibuya? nothing's set up or anything, but just keep your eyes peeled if you're interested, okay?

i miss being here, and i miss all of you. i'm starting to write again for the first time in a while and i want to be on here more but it's been a while so i might clear out my drafts and inbox a bit from the times i thought i would return but didn't especially, because the catch-up stresses me out.

all he wanted was for someone to want him around. and it's that mundanity that makes his wish so horrifyingly tragic. he already had that. quite literally in the anime, where he did in fact play chess with ren on a regular basis. literally the only obstacle to getting his wish in the true reality is his own fear and self-loathing.

my thought is like. in the picrew, there are colors and symbols that seem to go together, hinting at an elemental magic system, but the elements are, roughly: psy/mind, fire, water, earth/plants, ??? (purple snowflake, can't figure this one out), electricity/energy, nuclear (idk what it is, have a persona element), ice, and heart.

given the patterns on the keys (floating item), these elements are classified into three groups: psy, water, and purple snowflake; fire, electricity, and ice; and earth, nuclear, and heart. very interesting and unexpected groups!
