Reposted from @tortugadesignstudio Teamed up with @consciousalliance to bring you my first ever triptych for @moetheband 3 night run at @foxtheatreco in Boulder! 🧜🏼‍♀️🐐🐝🥛🐓🦋⭐️🐖🐍🍦 If you’re headed to the show, be sure to bring some non-perishables to snag a print or three. @bobcrizzo Reached out to me to see if I was interested in making something for this run. Little did he know I’m a pretty huge .ron, so I jumped at the chance and wanted to make something special. Besides the Dead .moe was ‘that’ jam band for me. They started my love for heavy improv bands and still are a favorite to this day. Rob’s slapping is one of the reasons I got into bass as much as I did. I wanted to make something reminiscent of the vintage Fillmore prints that started it all. I pulled inspiration from some of my favorite OG poster artists, Maclean, Moehring, and Gary Eagle. If you don’t know, now you know😄 Really stoked on these, sort of a surreal moment. Super grateful to have had the chance to craft these up. Reposted from @tortugadesignstudio Well I had a totally different draft typed up for this…but we just got our power back from the hurricane, and I find out that @oceanscallingmd has been canceled. I’m going to ask you all to go check out the merch site for @oceanscallingmd and snag a print or apparel from @ofarevolution to help recoup from this one. -Hand pulled in the studio -16x20 - @frenchpaperco off white cover -Standard edition of 100 -Sheen foil edition of 50 This one was a wild ride, literally. Big thanks to @jamesonmangan for reaching out to me on this one. And @richard_on for the opportunity. The team was in a pinch to get a design and prints done in a week for the fest, Jameson hit me up to see if I could get some prints out in time. I worked closely with the band to nail a specific vision they had. After a few drafts we ended up with this, and it was off to the press. Super proud of how these came out, and grateful for the opportunity to make cool stuff. Bummed the event was cancelled, but safety always first. Beyond stoked to finally share this one! 🦚🪶🦉🦜🐦🦩 The artwork for @boafmusicfest this September in Morning View, KY! My creative process varies from project to project. Sometimes it starts as a sketch on paper. Other times it’s very improvisational where I push and pull at things until the piece takes on its own form. This one was very improvised and all started from a concept I had. My concept was to somehow incorporate that feeling of all walks of life coming together for a festival. A community putting on a stellar event, each person playing a role for the bigger picture. Birds of a feather flock together, each with a different flavor, skill, and talent they bring to the table. Also wanted to throw in a bird that doesn’t get seen to often ‘the bird of paradise’ I think it fits the whole tiny slice of paradise a festival brings. Huge shoutout to Brandon W. for letting me just do my thing on this one.
