[Series Review] My Forever Sunshine (2020)
9/10
Okay so I discovered this show accidentally on a local TV channel. They were a really funny series of scenes so I decided to check it out.
And I’m glad I did.
The story revolves around Paeng (played by Kao Supassara Thanachart), a young, spoiled kid, and Arthit (played by Mark Prin Suparat), a kind of childhood friend/brother figure. I don’t want to give away plot points but the start of the story was kind of heavier than the scenes I first saw, although the rom-com nature still has its moments.
Kao played the young Paeng so well that you’d believe she’s a moody and rebellious teenager to a T. I absolutely adored her acting and would love to see more of her.
Mark as Arthit was good too. He was so good-looking that I was kinda afraid he’d be mediocre but he proved me wrong. He nailed that blend of kind and overprotective brother to Paeng. But what won me most was his facial expressions in the funny scenes.
The leads’ chemistry was through the roof. (I hope they get to work on something else soon.)
The series, in general, had a lighter overall tone with some sprinkle of drama. I found myself smiling and laughing (and maybe shedding a tear or two) at the best (and saddest) moments.
It’s been a while since I last watched (and finished) a Thai drama and I’m glad I got back into it with this.

My Forever Sunshine: A Review
My Forever Sunshine: A Review
To be frankly honest, it didn’t occur to me that there would be a day that I would write a review on a Thai lakorn, not even once. As a long-time Korean drama’s avid fan, I have always set a particular bar when it comes to series I would want to enjoy whole-heartedly. Some Thailand movies were fun to watch, but for lakorn? Not so much for particular reasons. I first came across My Forever…
