  It´s Eurovision week. I´m so excited. So to wrap up last year, little summary.

My most listened song from last year eurovision is, drumroll please, of course the one and only Trenulețul  by Zdob și Zdub & Advahov Brothers. I´m still hoping to take part in this fenomen of night train fom Chişinău  to Bucharest. My dear beloved puppy is terrified, when i start to dance to my singing of this song.

Second one is Hope from STEFAN.  I like this song. And i can sing it. Badly but at least i´m not murdering the pronunciation of the lyrics,

Subwoolfer and their Give That Wolf A Banan is masterpiece. But lately it´s more Worst kept secret.

Off the chart is We are Domi, Lights Off because i´m not wilingly listening to the song. Evropa 2 has it in the playlist.

Trenulețul by Zdob şi Zdub & Advahov Brothers

This is the second song from this year's Eurovision that ended up on my playlist. At first I was just like "This is peak Eurovision! This is a very good Eurovision song" - then I found myself listening to it half a dozen time and admitted that I just genuinely like the song as a song. It just slaps! Makes you want to get up and dance! (Also I really enjoy that it's essentially a love song for train travel. Eurovision desperately needs interesting topics!)

7. Moldova - Soarele şi luna

This song is fantastic, another great entry in the catalogue of Eurovision electro-folk fusion entries. Everything about this draws on folklore, from the style of the music, to the lyrics which take their basis from a folk tale, to the symbolism filled staging taking inspiration from specific folkloric figures. Pasha made a comment in an interview about how people from other countries can find themselves in the lyrics, seeing elements of their own mythologies there, with the sun and moon especially being important to everyone, and I love that – this entry presents its own unique culture while offering a chance for connection through the aspects within it, like nature and love, that are universal to us all. And then it backs all that up with some incredible music! It’s punchy and suspenseful, with a dark production, yet the overall tone of it is very much a positive excitement. It is the perfect amount of repetitive to ensure you'll never forget it yet never losing that sense of excitement. I love the way the flute sounds and how it’s used, having its own moment to shine in the post-chorus but also given its own little interjections throughout the track, it’s like a second voice. I also really love the interaction between Pasha and Sergiu with his flute in the performances, and honestly the physicality of Pasha’s performance in general. In the end, I think this is a really cool entry, with music that absolutely slaps, and I have such a great time with it!

the jury votes have never been so catastrophic i think. so many intelligent, well sung songs that got barely any points but sweden again? for real? for a song i will have forgotten in four months? i am still listening to Trenulețul. i will never forget moldova's entry from last year. i will never forget finland's cha cha cha. never. those songs will stay with me for a whole eternity. i called for slovenia, czechia and finland so many times, you deserved so much better <3
