yk actually i'm really surprised that the umbrella academy, misfits, doctor who, and good omens didn't make more bad samaritan fans.

i know the movie isn't like... top tier in terms of thrillers. it's kinda cheesy and kinda goofy and david tennant's american accent is really hard to take seriously (sorry, david, i love you), but it has 2 tumblr celeb sexymen, one of which is an og tumblr celeb sexyman, and it's genuinely just a really fun movie.

but maybe i'm biased. bad samaritan grabbed me by the throat the first time i watched it and i think i binged it like 8-10 times in one week after that. the intensity of the obsession waxes and wanes but it never quite goes away lmao

Forgive me if I've made this post before but yknow one thing I'm realizing with the Tumblr sexyman polls is it as a label has become so much less tied to a specific sort of appearance over the years its kinda funny . Like . I think the days of going "oh I'm gonna make a design for the Ultimate Sexyman" and making a skinny pale dude with blonde hair and fancy but understated attire are over by a landslide . I don't think you could make one design to encompass the entire umbrella now if you tried

Honestly it's been that way for a while but even moreso , like the posts I've seen years ago being like "we're shaming people for being into popular male characters because they all fit this milquetoast conventional ideal" hasn't even been fully right even when those posts were a thing . I don't even mean the objects or shapes anymore I mean like

Sans is supposed to look fat, King Dice is 100% canonically a black man , fuckin , Chef Saltbaker is fat . People are saying Jack Horner is gonna end up a sexyman even . I think it's gone so far the other way that ppl are ashamed to like a skinny person and Admit they're skinny , usually seeing things like no tits or ass as detractors from their physical attractiveness

. And man if we wanna count the popular women as sexymen too which I will for this post bc gender is a game even they are pretty . Design and body diverse w/e . I think the closest to yee olden Tumblr days we got is Raymond who's. Idk . He could be anything he's a cat

Had a period for a while where sexyman as a term in general aggravated me to absolutely no end but I think I've looped back around to it . Esp bc they're kinda just ingrained as a more positive part of site culture now and not an excuse to make people feel bad for liking fake dudes like it was in 2014
