“So - “ Palms press against the flat of the counter as he hoists himself up, black boots resting atop one of the chairs as a careless hand waves away the yells of the proprietor - crazy old bat, anyhow. Head cocks to the side as he takes the other one in, blue eyes traveling from feet upwards until they rest on the other man’s face - lips curving into a slow grin. 

Fingertips make the careful dance to the plate beside him, stealing the piece of strawberry pie with nary a thought to whom it might belong - a pirate is a pirate, even if the attempts at civilization argue otherwise. Words are a dry lilt, tone laced with sarcasm and a faux respect that the boy doesn’t quite feel. “ - What do I call ya? Da?”

As always the air was hot and still, sunlight scarcely making its way through the dense foliage - a dark and foreboding atmosphere...perfect for a place the pirate and his crew deemed to be hell itself. Somewhere the roar of a beast echoed around the trees, the call of a savage island just waiting to be gutted and exposed. Briefly, lest any denizen (be it native or boy) catch them unawares, the pirate captain glanced around their sparse circle, one brow rising in mild interest. Pan was full of fun and games and for a moment Hook found himself feeling sorry for the man in front of him, thoughts briefly flickering over the idea that maybe a hunt was underway.

Fingers tightened around the hilt in their grasp, one step forward causing a twig to break  underfoot with a resounding crack. The man had gumption, aye ... a fitting addition to a crew should he break as easy as the others. His men wait like hungry hounds, eyes not leaving the figure before them and fingers ready to draw steel at the barest insult. “Apologies, mate... “ The words tasted like sawdust, cobwebs long grown over sincere propriety .. and with a furrow of brows he started again, tongue sweeping over dry lips as if to prepare them for whatever dust covered idiom spilled forth.

Ever a gentleman.

“ - If you want to live, and I’m assuming that you do, you’d do best to leave the questions to me...lest you find yourself on the sharp end of some brat’s toy.” Somewhere behind him a man coughed, no doubt Starkey, his ever present first-mate ready to redirect the situation. With barely a glance over his shoulder, Hook turned back to study the new comer, blue eyes taking in the disheveled hair and the rivulet of sweat that worked its way down the side of one cheek. “Tell me something, mate ... what game has he come up with now, hm? A test to see if Captain Hook holds some amount of mercy in him yet?” Another step closer and the edge of his blade was resting against the other man’s throat, eyes flashing with a deep set anger. “Do answer quickly, would you? I’m not much for patience.”

Fingers trail over the ornate wood of his heavy bed, cloak drawn tight about her. Despite the flames whose shadows dance along the walls, her thoughts are cold - sending a rigid chill down the length of her spine. “For years I thought you must have regretted your decision, Guy ... that you had simply done the best you could.” Blue eyes follow the path of her fingertips, only glancing up to settle on his face once she had reached the end. “ - I told myself you’d come back for me, that you’d save me - but you were too busy.... “ Words paused as she took a look around the chamber, one perfectly manicured finger coming to rest upon her chin. “ .. too caught up in a life you’ve created to no doubt leave your past behind.” 

A careful smile graced red lips, head cocking to the side the slightest bit. She wanted to hug him, to leap into his arms and demand safe harbor from the husband she knew would be chasing her - but instead she remained rigid, listening to that voice that whispered his betrayal. “You should be careful, brother. Its a shame to lose things you think precious.”

“Is this really necessary?” Any protest was cut off as David found himself suddenly lifted into the air, fingers barely managing to set his half full beer on the table before it managed to slosh all over Granny’s newly washed floor. The knight was strong, the once prince had to give him that - but all he could manage was a steady stream of protests, mouth opening and closing with a forcible snap at the punctuated laugh of his newest companion’s pirate friend. “Alright, alright .. you’ve proved your worth as a knight more than ten times over.” 

A pause stretched between them, blue eyes purposely looking everywhere but to the other man’s face. They were causing quite a scene if the sudden silence permeating the diner was any indication, cheeks flushing a pale shade of pink as he was finally dropped to his feet. “Thanks.” One palm brushed at invisible dirt along his shirt, brow rising as he met Guy’s stare. “Lets not ... do that again.”

What in the hell makes you think I’m gonna sign off on this one?” Wiping the sweat from his brow Indiana shook his head, whistling through his teeth as he picked up his (thankfully, still cold) drink from the table between them. “You’ve made alotta crazy decisions in your days, son .. but Killian Jones might top the goddamned list.”

          perfect. it’s all Jon needs to top off a failed mission — a patronizing pat on the back. to be sure, and given the line of work, he shouldn’t even dare complain, as it is far preferable to, say, be taken as hostage && beaten down to a pulp (and he ought to not jinx it!). and, yes, there is a chance this man is being earnest… giving him genuine praise for having made it this far, despite outcome, and not sadistically pouring salt over the fresh wound. it’s hard to assess, especially with the rush of adrenaline still taking over his system, and it’s not like he’s in much of a position to push boundaries… swallowing down the one hundred percent sarcastic comeback, therefore, and handing back the pen drive containing the documents he’s come to steal, he offers a more toned-down version of his initial thoughts.

Does Isabella hate her brother for what he did to her?

Hate is such a strong word and honestly, no. I don’t think she does. I think she believes she does, at first ... but during her marriage she built Guy up to be the villain of her tale, a reason behind the senseless abuse because to her young mind it was his fault. She didn’t see the reasons, couldn’t fathom that there could possibly be any good ones and for the longest time she wanted nothing but revenge. I think that stems from the fact that she needed something to hold onto during her marriage, a reason to keep going and not to give up and seek peace. Guy became that reason. Making him pay became that reason. But I think once she made it to Nottingham and realized that he was in fact not a monster, it began wearing that need for revenge down. 

She began to see the position Guy had been in, the fact that he was just a child as well despite how ‘grown’ he had seemed to her and while she doesn’t necessarily forget, she does begin to forgive. Albeit slowly. I think she will always harbor some sort of resentment, but its hard to paint someone as a monster when everything about them claims to be otherwise and I think in her own way Isabella loves Guy, despite their past. He is her brother and they are one in the same - in new ways shes discovering every day.

The words cause a smile to grace the pirate’s lips, blue eyes flickering from their intended target to the knight’s profile. The outlaw camp in front of them is ripe for the taking, only two men stand between them and whatever trinkets lie in wait - the thought causes Killian’s fingers to twitch in anticipation. A shift as he balances weight on the balls of his feet, black boots sitting amidst fallen leaves that rot into the dirt. “I love it when you talk dirty.” 

The jest is accompanied with a low laugh, tongue pressing to the inside of one cheek as gaze takes in the backs of the ill-fated sentries.”Which is why - “ His sword is drawn with a flourish as he straightens, one brow rising in amusement as head gestures towards the clearing. “- I’ll allow you the honors of garnishing our present plan.” Smile widens as the pirate sweeps a bow, curved steel reflecting the sunlight that filters through dense foliage. “After you, knight of my heart.”

8. what is each of your muses otps? notps?

this is gonna get super long but I’ll only touch on the basics. Graham’s OTP is obviously Graham/Emma but I also really ship Graham/Ruby while Graham/Regina is the biggest NOTP to ever NOTP. I don’t have a lot of NOTPs for Charming other than the obvious incest ones I’ve seen around but my OTP is definitely either Charming/Snow or Charming/Ruby. I don’t care one way or another about Oberyn. Jaime’s NOTP would be jaime/brienne while I really enjoy Jaime/Aurora I also gotta go with the old favorite Jaime/Cersei. Han’s OTP is obviously Han/Leia and the NOTP would be luke/han. I don’t ship Vaisey with anyone but a HUGE NOTP is Vaisey/Guy. No thanks, get that out of here. Robin Hood’s OTP is Robin/Marian but I also shipped him with Guy in a very rival!mance sort of way. But I don’t know if I liked it enough to be considered an OTP. A NOTP for Robin would definitely be him/any gang member. Marian is MARIAN/GUY THATS THE ONLY SHIP THAT MATTERS. Though I also shipped her with Djaq. 

And of course Robin. Isabella I don’t really care one way about but she’s a lesbian so ... give me all the girls. For Derek I enjoy both Derek/Meredith and Derek/Addison. A NOTP would definitely be Derek/Mark. Indiana’s OTP would either be Indiana/Marion (duh) or Indiana/Lara. I think any NOTP would be any slash paring because in my head Indy is a hardlined heterosexual. Ned, I obviously ship Ned/Chuck but my biggest OTP is just Ned/Happiness. As far as a NOTP, Ned/Emmerson because I’ve seen that one around. 

Lancelot’s OTP is Lance/Gwen .. as far as a notp goes probably lance/elaine. I don’t really ‘ship’ the bnha kids since they’re well.. kids, but there are a few I think are cute together. We’ll leave it at that. For prompto my biggest OTP is Promoto/Ignis. Like, pry it from my cold dead hands.  I guess a notp would be prompto/noctis because i’ve always seen noct with gladio. Dutch’s OTP (the way we write it and the way we write it only) probably Dutch/Arthur. I also highly ship Dutch/Molly but .. its toxic. As far as a notp goes, Dutch/Hosea. I don’t really have an OTP for Watson, but a notp would be Watson/Holmes. I know its a popular one but I don’t ship it at all. I ship Septimus with power. A notp would be Septimus and death.

19. for each muse, is there a character you wish had a blog so you could interact with them?

THIS IS GETTING SO LONG. I’m just gonna name the ones I wish were around. Obviously for Ned, I wish there was a Chuck but we’d have to have major chemistry for me to enter a ship. For Dutch, a Hosea. I mean some of these there are blogs out there, I’ve just been too lazy to find them. I love the Jaime and Tywin dynamic so thats a blog I’d love to interact with. Oberyn and Tyrion. Bakugo and Deku. A leia for Han obviously. A marcus for Indiana would be really fun.I’d love to see a blog for Vaisey’s sister? It shows a side of him we don’t normally get to explore so that would be great fun. I’m sure there are others but this is getting long enough already.

27. is there a rule that someone keeps breaking for your muses?

NO FORCE SHIPPING. I’ve gotten a lot of force shipping. Even if it goes no farther than IMs in some cases or one reply, it makes me very uncomfortable when people assume things. I have a hard time writing romance, etc with partners I haven’t written with for a while so when new partners jump right on that train and bombard me with things it can be a little overwhelming. Also when people don’t specify muse and make me work for it. I’m always afraid I will choose someone they don’t know/don’t want to interact with. So, unless I know you and we’ve spoken, choose a damn muse. Please.

      okay so, much like hilary and dodger, amy has been a part of my tumblr experience in one way or another pretty much since the very beginning of this blog. I can vividly remember plotting and writing out our first thread with jack and guy and how much fun it was because of the mind games that were taking place lmfao ( and the fact that I can remember it so clearly all these years later really does speak to what a talented writer amy is tbh, and how much her guy immediately stood out to me as suCH a well written, complex character ). I’ve never seen robin hood, but having amy on my dash means that I really don’t want or need to because I hold her to the gold standard where guy is concerned, and I know even without watching it that she does him the justice he was denied in his own show. the amount of times that I will pause in my dash scrolling whenever I see amy and taylor on my dash is pretty impressive tbh, especially when I see them writing together in any of our joint or group verses, and honestly? seeing both of you so happy together and so perfectly suited as well always brightens my dash. you’re both wonderful human beings and never stop being a ride or die otp on my dash okay

The figure sliding up to the counter next to him didn’t even break the sheriff’s concentration, gaze staying fixed on the plate of lasagna in front of him lest someone try to steal it once again. Arm protectively wrapped around his plate as he finally glanced sideways, breath leaving chapped lips in a low whistle of relief at the sight that awaited him.  Meal lay forgotten, lips twitching upwards into a small semblance of a smile until his arm suddenly jerked around his plate once more lest a previous episode repeat itself. “Please tell me that Hook is planning to eat his own dinner this time.” Accidental misunderstanding or no, it had still happened - and David would be thrice damned before he allowed it a second time.
