"n...no," he admits, hesitant for what chiding might await him, "er, well... i had some rice a several hours ago. with hoisin sauce. it was really delicious--" he'd be stopped by the growling in his stomach, a small, pathetic sound. but audibly nonetheless. how embarrassing.

"er, um... we could go get food, if you wanted? i guess i am pretty hungry.. maybe, maybe the ramen place over on pink street?"

"i don't know if you partake in people food but if you have, think of a food that you've struggled to swallow because it just... don't feel right in your mouth. the thought comes to just spit it out. rid yourself of the unpleasantness. your body fighting so hard to prevent you from swallowing it even though you know you need to. and when you finally get it down ya you descend into cold shakes. that's my relationship with fresh blood. nothin' virtuous about it."

"aw c'mon vik, don't be like that," v would watch the exchange from just a few feet away, having made himself comfortable on viktor's desk of sorts with legs folded and hands playing around with some tool, "hardly an inconvenience considering the bodies he left in his wake. you should see the carnage. i'd probably be dead were it not for him." the words came through a toothy grin, the lavender lens of his specs hiding the look in his eyes and giving him a grinning cheshire appearance in the shoddy lighting, "haulin' his ass here was the least i could do."

scrawny frame slides off viktor's desk before he could be shoo'd, absconded tool making its way back to its proper place--v knew better than to screw around with viktor's things beyond a certain point. he approaches the other, emerging from dimly lit corners and into rays of viktor's overhead lights. what few wounds v sustained were stitched up and bandaged, a puncture mark clear on his arm.

"i'm alright," v gives a nod, hands on his hips, "was able to patch myself up while vik tended to you. he'd probably kick my ass if i went to him with what i had. didn't spend years wasting away with trauma team for the old man to staple me up when i can just do it myself, y'know." he itches at his arm, taking a moment to look the man over, as if to ensure vik didn't miss anything in his last onceover, "i'll say it was havoc. you tore those guys to shreds. not that i'm not thankful, but i am a bit bummed that i couldn't enjoy the show simply for self-preservation. still don't get why you jumped in, though. do you always protect little guys like me, or are ya just after the bounties?"
