CANON REWRITE VERSE: KLAUS IS CURED.

this is quite literally based on a dream i had last night, but it's a concept i've wanted to play with for a while. for now all i have are a few bullet points, but once i get the full verse fleshed out, it will be in my doc.

katherine never gives the cure to elijah in S4 of TVD. instead, the both of them hatch a plan to use it on klaus. elijah wants klaus to experience humanity again in a very long winded and roundabout way of getting to klaus's redemption. elijah feels that if klaus is human (as human as he can be), it might lead to actual change in his brother. katherine obviously wants klaus to be human for much more selfish reasons, but it's justified given everything he's done to her.

the plan gets delayed because of hayley getting pregnant. elijah wants to back out because having klaus as a hybrid is more protection for his child, and he believes that the child itself could be klaus's redemption. katherine convinces elijah that as he is, klaus would not be a good parent, but he might be if he were solely a werewolf. her argument is that immortality gives klaus an out, he can always say "i'll fix it later, i have forever" but his kid doesn't have forever; they're going to grow up and he will miss all of it if he puts it off. elijah agrees.

after S2 of the originals is when elijah gives the cure to klaus. with the esther, mikael, and dahlia drama, elijah had put it off again. klaus needed to be able to protect hope to the best of his ability, but after esther and dahlia are killed, elijah puts the cure in a glass of wine and toasts to 'new beginnings' with klaus. klaus passes out and wakes up no longer a vampire.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS:

my headcanon for klaus's physical age is 22. he will begin aging from there.

because i hate the plot point that once the cure is gone from your blood, you age rapidly and die within a few weeks, i'm removing it. i think it would be fun to have silas come after klaus, so to keep tvd canon canon, he can do that, get the cure from klaus's blood, and be on his merry lil sewer side way.

because he is no longer a hybrid, klaus's blood no longer heals werewolf bites for vampires. however, due to this headcanon of mine, there is still some of his hybrid blood to spare for emergencies.

beatrice (or freya in verses where bee doesn't exist) makes a moonlight ring for klaus so he isn't forced to turn on every full moon, and can still shift at will.

because of how ridiculously old klaus is for a werewolf, he is still extremely strong and fast. he is stronger than a normal vampire (he would still be stronger than a vampire katherine's age) but is nowhere near as strong as his siblings are.

obviously, klaus's relationship with elijah becomes extremely strained after he's cured. during S3, he bites elijah in an attempt to fulfill the family part of lucien's prophecy, but regrets it and ends up getting some of his hybrid blood to cure elijah. he still holds a grudge though, and throws it in elijah's face quite often.

klaus can do magic now. he is not good at it, and no one wants to teach him how to be good at it in fear of what he might do with it. however, in verses where she exists -- beatrice begins trying to teach him the basics in secret, and this causes their relationship to get stronger and them to grow closer to each other. elijah finds out about this and is pleased with how well his plan is actually working.

Would anyone be interested in plotting with Reese in her Marvel based verse where she was a prisoner / brainwashed by HYDRA for a while / an experimented on with her healing factor and psychometry etc. - wouldn’t have been a field agent per se or been sent out on missions save like rare times when they needed her ability to find something or to get her hands on someone to see if they were lying etc. She would not have been a willing participant but with their programming and fear tactics it would’ve been easy enough to control her especially given they’d probably have gotten their hands on her when she was like 13-15 originally. Time period is malleable; she could’ve been forced into a drug induced coma or frozen (?) if you want to incorporate her being from the time of the world wars to play off her being unsettled in the modern era. She could have woken up on her own when equipment malfunctioned or been discovered by SHIELD and they’re helping her adjust to the modern era and putting her into therapy and reprogramming (or someone else if you want to be someone that is using her for their own devices rather than trying to help her incorporate into the modern world / atone / adjust etc.) etc etc. Pretty open as to where it could go! He can only think to make his way to Meket and hope he finds his memories along the way. He uses his affinity for necromancy to pay his way, often acting as a spirit medium or dealing with restless undead. He's always glad to make new acquaintances and would happily travel with someone going the same way.

ARC | TAKE MY TEARFUL MEMORIES. For interactions taking place before Serot has recovered his memories. He will soon uncover a bond from the past that threatens to consume him. ARC | BUT ONLY ECHOES FADE AWAY. For interactions taking place after Serot has recovered his memories but has not yet made it to Meket. He knows he walks a path to ruin, yet he cannot turn aside. ARC | BURNING AWAY HOLLOW HOPE. For interactions taking place after Serot has returned to Meket. He finds himself vaulted into disaster they say he can resolve. Serot was reborn in Baldur's Gate about a year and a half before the game's start. It was there he was abducted onto the nautiloid and infected. He seeks a remedy to his affliction but finds his memories first. They reveal a connection that has threatened to claim his soul across centuries. Still, he cannot bring himself to sever it. If he is not dissuaded, he will save himself from ceremophosis only to be lost to a worse fate.

So for crossovers I’m running with the idea that John gets pelted through the Halo into whatever universe and is trying to find a way back to his world. Whether or not he has the suit depends on how long he’s been there and if he has to store it somewhere in the interim etc. He might be looking for someone to repair it or help him find a way to power it also.

there's already a lot in yj that's influenced by tp / just laura herself! for the most part, it's not very deep --- so this isn't that kind of post --- but i do want to point some of it out for people who haven't seen peaks, because i think it goes a ways to show how easy it is to just throw her in there.

so.

character tribute 1: laura [palmer; sheryl] lee. christian but not in That Way. the episode about laura lee's flight/sacrifice was originally titled 'fire walk with me' after the 1992 film about laura's, so i know for SURE that those parallels were not accidental.

character tribute 2: van. this one's really kind of just 'she's gay and they have the same surname, and every time a girl in horror has the name palmer it's for the same reason' but they'd get along really well. so she gets a mention, anyway.

lottie's powers, if you believe they're powers, are pretty much the same as laura's. the thing is, though, that laura's are tied to a specific group of Beings that i don't especially care to drag into this (even though they live in the pnw, which funnily Is Where They Are). i imagine she'd be able to be useful in surprising ways, though, she's bad to have dreams / premonitions about her own situations. if she tells you you should look over there for food, etc., you should probably do it.

(she is more likely to just go after it herself, though. she definitely isn't going to broadcast That Shit.)

the mall/mirror universe (ft. misty's dreamscape) is all From Peaks. misty's dreamscape is an actual set from peaks --- it's the black lodge/red room/basically the spirit house (where laura 'lives' after she dies, and one of the places she visits in her dreams beforehand). there's a lot of interesting stuff to get in here in the sci-fi of it all, BUT i don't know how much farther they'll take the concept of tulpas/doppelgangers, so i will not. do that.

about actually throwing her in there:

she actually knows a lot about #survival and i would imagine that's true even if she's been stranded in jersey for some ungodly reason, though she might not have so much hands-on experience. i always say laura was a boy scout and i kind of really mean it.

if there's something that may or may not need doing, and half the group is like "hell, no, i don't have a death wish", laura will be in the other half. every time. i'd say she'd be king of the other half, but that spot is already taken. so thanks for taking that off our hands, tai.

they're kids here so it's not like she's running around with EMT certification or whatever, but she will be at least as knowledgable as misty and has probably had more practice, as she is pretty used to being responsible for children. and i hope. misty is not.

i don't really have thoughts about her surviving or not; i kind of assume that if this takes off and i'm doing a lot of development with other survivors, she will, and if not, it's anybody's guess. but i just really am amused by the Very Real Thought that she at least wouldn't be one of the first to die. which is, like, nice for her. once.

and it's kind of... well. obviously not a vacation. but she would be at all times very aware that she dodged a bullet by not being home / from her abusers assuming she's dead. so i think she'd be able to be present in a way she usually isn't, especially when she's [gestures vaguely] that age.

ok but i'm considering making a star trek verse for mikkah, but one where she's just ... still alive i mean, with her abilities it isn't unthinkable that she could be alive in three, four, five, six hundreds years + but i'm debating like. how would starfleet honestly feel about accepting someone into their ranks that was that fricking old? just. oh yeah i'm 600 years old i work in the medical department come talk to me about ancient history idk.

ok so basically i'm going with her being half human / half lathanite but she didn't know that she wasn't human until much later in life - she and her brother were still taken from her birth parents by some Bad Guy group and experimented on; they had some form of mutation of their dna bc of their hybrid nature that gave them both additional abilities but her healing etc. still only works on those with human / base human dna. her actual job can vary to fit into plots!

main plot points:

klaus's fc for this verse is JACOB ANDERSON. alwysndforever's esther (angela bassett) is my klaus's canon esther for this verse.

upon gaining the knowledge that there is a human doppelganger alive, klaus begins looking for werewolves to turn to hybrids after he breaks the curse. the first he finds is jackie matlin (insanislupus), a werewolf that hadn't been triggered for too long and was desperate for an end to the cycle. klaus offered her an out in the form of turning into a hybrid, and all she had to do in exchange was remain loyal to him and do his bidding.

as in normal klaus fashion, he begins sleeping with jackie and learns more about her as time goes on. he consistently tests her loyalty to him, whether it be sending her off to get things for him, to spy for him, or threatening to kill her just to see how she reacts. it is not a wholesome relationship.

klaus eventually decides that jackie is worthy of his trust, and sends her to mystic falls to keep an eye on the doppelganger for him and make sure nothing happens to her until klaus needs her. in that time, jackie pretends to be elena's friend but also garners a very twisted form of affection and care for elena as well.

when the time comes for klaus to break the hybrid curse, jackie reveals her involvement with klaus that very night. she is there through the whole thing and isn't expecting elijah's betrayal, but is there when klaus turns for the first time in a thousand years.

when klaus and jackie leave with stefan to find more wolves and after klaus gives stefan's memories back to him, he begins sleeping with stefan as well as jackie. the situation is incredibly complicated considering jackie's history with elena, and elena nearly asking jackie to be with both her and stefan.

klaus makes it very clear that jackie is not to be turned until they figure out why the other wolves can't complete the transition. this puts a strain on their relationship, as jackie wanted to be the first hybrid he turned as well as her being impatient to be free of the full moon curse. klaus says it's because he values jackie's loyalty and can't afford to lose her because of it, but in truth it's because he cares about her more than he is willing to admit.

when they get back to mystic falls and figure out that the issue is doppelganger blood, jackie is turned directly after tyler. klaus notices the sirebond in jackie well before anyone notices it in tyler, he simply says nothing about it. their relationship becomes far more intense because of it, and both of them fully attribute it to the sirebond, when in reality it's more than that.

klaus sends jackie to extract elena's blood as much and as often as possible, because he knows elena would never let him do it himself. during one of those times, elena and jackie sleep together. the reasoning for this is extremely convoluted and complicated, but essentially it boils down to jackie feeling left without as much attention as she used to get from klaus (the feeling intensified from the sirebond) because of everything going on, as well as both jackie and elena never getting to explore their unresolved feelings for each other before jackie betrayed her. klaus is irritated with this, but not angry about it, mostly because it bodes an advantage for him. (it should be because he'd be a hypocrite because of what happened with stefan, but he will never ever recognize that)

regarding hayley & hope, klaus still sleeps with hayley and gets her pregnant even though he's in a fairly serious relationship with jackie. he is just not a good guy, y'all. he's a rat. he is a bad boyfriend. will that stop jackie from being obsessed with him? absolutely not.

the rest of the timeline isn't as detailed, as we tend to write within season 3 of tvd or the originals, but most canon events are still canon. if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

there are two subverses off of this verse as well, one that involves @hiveruled's tvdu verse and one where jackie kills and turns elena at the end of S3 when she believes klaus is dead, and elena ends up sired to jackie instead of damon.

akina doesn't remember a day she wasn't being tormented by the curses that others couldn't see nor feel , doesn't remember the last time she had a good night's sleep . when her parents take her to the temple to obilirate the evil spirits surrounding her , it's simply because they saw some suspicious and frightening things happen to akina and eventually bothered them and others around her ; her voice would change , her eyes would glow white , she'd stay up at nights for days and days until she passed out .

her father , being an important political figure , wouldn't risk letting anyone know something paranormal was bothering her daughter . so in secret , in the dead of the night he covers her up with a hood and takes her to the temple owned by a man named ge.to su.guru . it takes days , even weeks for geto to understand what really happened to her , because no curse was seen on her but a darkness was surrounding her . it got worse whenever she was angry and irritated , it made the whole room go cold as ice ; turns out akina herself was half a curse . yet the curse was trapped inside her and wouldn't be free until she died .

geto notices this a few days after he calmly tells her parents that he can't do anything about it , so they want to take her to china , to another temple until akina's patience reaches its limit — geto sees it on the news , that something mysterious and murdered the mori family in one night in such gruesome way that they couldn't show any photos on the tv .

her unusual nature interests the curse user , too much , and he seeks to catch the moment she'd die to be a pure curse and swallow her whole ; it happens in the shibuya incident , when akina jumps off the building with a smirk and a promise . ' wait for me , satoru-san . ' something wicked , black and pale-eyed comes to life when akina dies , the perfect opportunity for geto to get her and use her against yuuta . yet turns out , rika's love was much stronger than akina's hatred and she manages to beat her , before she could die however , geto sets her free . after his death , akina joins the jujutsu school as a special grade student ( and a special grade curse at that ! 💕 ) to learn how to control it , how to use it without dying .

      additional information ;

akina's curse form is something she's learning to switch the way she pleases . it's something like a woman with no eyes and very long hair . long claws and a terrifying growl .

after she was set free from geto's influence , akina possessed her own corpse and returned back to ' life' .

so her eyes are only white , she uses a spell to make them look normal but under sunlight they look white and haunting .

every time she uses her cursed energy or switches to her real form is dangerous because there's this risk of never being able to switch back .

she healed every inch of her body after possessing it but there's a black hole between her ribs where she was stabbed by a metal bar when she jumped off the building . for some reason she couldn't heal that part .

she has the softest spot for first grades .

                                            verse: stranger things.

             I have developed a couple different verses for Johnny in the Stranger Things universe that I wanted to post up here for those who have been interested and asking. I want to start by saying this entire AU was closely created with @kinghaargrove ! Due to this I wanted to note that in this universe if Johnny isn’t dating anyone, or is not a developing ship, by default he is dating Billy in this verse. As for the main timeline of events, Johnny by Stranger Things canon, would appear around seasons 2-3. Keep in mind I do have verses for him being a killer in Hawkins that more aligns with TCM, but this one is more so for the realism sake of him fitting into that universe. 

             Johnny was born and raised in Texas, in the small town of Newt. A single child, with a less than perfect home life. It was his mother that tried to give him everything, but his father that couldn’t stand looking at him. His father’s resentment for them both only grew stronger in time, the more he would turn to a bottle. It was something he’d grown used to, over the years as he grew. A part of him is never sure why his father hated him, maybe because he just looked too much like his mother. As a child he thought he deserved it, every scar as punishment for misbehaving. Many evenings and nights were spent running from his father, only to find solace in tall Sunflowers to hide from the hell he knew in the place he was meant to call home. 

             Only as he got older did his desire to once run turn into pure hatred for his father. The desire to protect his mother became top priority. It started at school, picking up football as a means to let out his aggression, and when he grew older, used that strength to take blows for his mother as means of keeping her safe. He grew strong, lean, learned to throw a mean right hook. He had friends, and was even considered popular, despite how small the school was. He was young, his whole life ahead of him, hopes of bettering himself through sports and getting his mom out of the hell they lived in.

             But it was a dream that would never come to be. Returning home late one night, he found his house in ruins, signs of a struggle when he was off late with friends. Too late to save her, it was mere moments that life seemed to come to a crawl. His father with a broken bottle, coming into contact with his mother’s throat. In a moment his life as he knew it was turned upside down. Paralyzed at the sight of his dying mother, his father, incoherent, came for him next. He couldn’t remember the way the bottle would slice his skin, or how he somehow managed to wrestle it free from him. All he could remember was the anger he felt inside- the sheer bloodlust that consumed him, had him overpower the man that mistreated him for so many years. And in a moment- take the life of the one he was meant to care for. The rest was a blur, blacking out only to wake up to the sound of sirens, his aunt Nancy having come to check on them- only to find him in a pool of his parents blood, face and arms carved open as he lay dying on the floor. 

             The year that followed was a blur. Nancy took him in as her own, as his closest living relative she took full custody of him. Charges weren’t pressed, due to his age, an act of self defense, knowing his fathers abusive history. Yet the rumors still spread, Johnny, the Frakenstein monster, pieced back together, a murderer, a freak. Outcast. From this, Nancy decided it was a change of pace, a move well needed, a fresh start where no one would know of the terrible things that happened in that town. So they moved to Hawkins, a new chance at life, a chance to meet new friends and erase the past that haunted him.

             So where’s his role in Hawkins? I imagine that once he moves there, he’s essentially the shiny new toy. Coming in sometime later on around or during the events of season 2, everyone is curious about him, from the scars on his body and how mysterious he seems. Some think he’s a killer, that maybe he’s been to jail, but it’s mainly rumor and gossip people try to guess why he looks that way. He quickly joins the football team though, and with it comes popularity. He's handsome, big for his age, and has a warm accent and charm that lures people in- so he’s quick to gain attention. Everyone wants to know him, but few ever get to know the real him. He knows well he’d be thrown in with the freaks, the misfits, so he makes sure to keep his murderous past under lock and key. He mainly hangs out with Billy Hargrove, a sort of rival relationship that also leads him to many parties, flings, and everything that comes with being the center of attention at a new school. 

             During the events leading into season 3, Johnny during that summer can be found working at his uncle Drayton’s gas station on the outskirts of Hawkins. It is during that time that Johnny becomes one of the first victims to the mindflayer. I imagine the infestation of rats that occurs during that season definitely festers within the basement of the gas station, Johnny works late, investigates noise and the rest is history as he’s turned into a servant for the mindflayer essentially. For Vecna in general he would be a perfect target. But all the sudden people who stop in to get gas suddenly go missing from Hawkins, Johnny unable to help himself as he starts killing his family. Nancy, Drayton, his weird cousins Nubbins and Sissy- then the rest of the innocent people that come regularly to get cheap gas. Johnny who tried so hard to be better, to escape his past, ended up becoming what everyone rumored to be true: a murderer. In a moment of breaking free from his mind control, I can definitely see him having a breakdown over the fact that he became what he feared most. That he is really a killer, despite trying so hard to run from his past. He couldn’t stop from shedding more blood, and for that he would grieve over killing the last of his loved ones. 

             I imagine he would also sacrifice himself, in a way replacing Billy and saving him from a terrible fate. If El were to have visions or a favorite memory from his mind, it would be one from his childhood, running through fields of sunflowers, being called in by his mom as she stood on the back porch as the sun began to set. Crying over the childhood that was stolen from him, mourning the loss of the person he loved most. And when he would finally die and the mall would burn down, there would be talk of Johnny Sawyer being a murderer after all, that he killed so many people and died burning in the mall, rather than be a hero, saving Billy and others from the mindflayer.

             Like I said though I do have other verses for him where he’s more morally aligned just a killer moving into a small town- or verses where he does survive the incident in the mall so he can be a part of season 4 because he would be a perfect victim for Vecna. But yeah, take from this what you will!

» demigod au : ravaged divinity ! it's a god eat god world. --- there are descendants of the ancient deities living amongst the modern world, divinity diluted into mostly human form, but imbued with abilities that far surpass that of normal humanity. whether it's a blessing or a curse, while not immortal, their souls are touched with the ichor of their ancestors, living far longer. ferris' family belongs to the bloodline that has traveled down from athena, goddess of wisdom, reason and war strategy. he recalls knowledge of various texts with an ease and possesses a limited knowledge of future events, but by no means a prophet. in a fight, he predicts the movements and actions of his foe, dodging punches, kicks and even bullets. the caine family have become protectors of ancient texts and literature, including libraries, museums, etc. they are privy to any artifacts and hidden knowledge not yet discovered by the world at large.

» agent of death au : over the hills and across the darkened path. he has a list and he knows your name. --- even death has to keep up with the modern world and organize itself. operating under the grim reaper, death's overseer, ferris has been employed as an agent of death. an office building seemingly normal on the outside; individuals in professional wear coming in and out of double doors, carrying suitcases and getting into vehicles that eerily resemble hearses and amidst revving engine, a whiny of a horse can be heard.

new to the industry, he's been assigned a handler, someone to train him and enforce their methods. ferris operates in the department that brings death to powered beings; whether they be superheroes, supervillains, mutants, civilians who live under the guise of normalcy but who have a power beyond what is normal. he himself is immortal. but, there are rules: he musn't ever kill anyone who is not on the list, and he must never become attached to anyone living, as to not bring to the living world's attention the work that they conduct.

while death is not hidden itself, the company is not to be discovered by mortal beings.
