Here is the data that I have collected for my project. Am I covering enough useful information or should I look for more data to use?

This is how I have my data organized for the data chart, I kind of feel like I am missing something or I don't have enough data within it. Anything suggestions? or anything I should add or edit?

I participate at Millersville by taking part in the Jewelry and Metal Arts Guild. I am a metals artist specifically so I love this club since we get the chance to sell jewelry twice a year! We go on field trips and enjoy an atmosphere of fellow artists. I am the club secretary and I love being an officer in the club. I’m a commuter, so it can make socializing at school a little difficult. Joining this club my freshman year helped me come out of my shell and helped prepare me with a community or fellow creatives.

Original Content #2
Tumblr media
I'll take an example from a bit of a different approach to web writing. The above picture are a few web ads that I think give a great example of information architecture and user experience, but not one that's tailored to benefit the user. These types of ads with their fake download buttons are very intentionally confusing and misleading. Their goal is to make you think you're doing something other than clicking an ad. They're trying specifically to trap you. It uses all the common tropes of ui/ux design and perverts it against the user in a bid to siphon attention, getting you to maybe consider their product, or even unintentionally install some form of malware. Say what you will about the ethics of such ad design, their purpose is very well thought out.

Data Example
Tumblr media
Like counts and comment counts are useful for content creators. Analytics such as likes, comments, and followers qualify as data for content creators. The data collected is used to see which posts are reaching a creator's intended audience and which posts are getting the most interactions. A creator could use that data to create and improve their content. In this screen capture you can see the like count and comment count of @vanessastockard. These numbers work as data. If Stockard wished to, she could look at the data and make adjustments according to which art pieces posted gets more interactions.

Thursday Check in Week 2
Reading the materials this week, I couldn't help but notice how much emphasis is put on social media and how it has changed and adapted continuously. The textbook states, "Since the internet changes rapidly, the focus is building skills, not perfecting one form of writing." How are we able to keep up with these constant changes in social media and social media platforms? How can we ensure that we are still connecting to current audiences? I constantly see people being trolled on the internet because of what they post and it being outdated or not trendy at the moment. How can we as writers keep up with the current audience while still maintaining our digital footprint and consistency in our platform and writing?

Here is a small look at my data chart that I did for the Data analysis project, (I couldn't fit all of the chart in one screenshot). I am wondering if anyone added this chart into the second part of their project? Another thing i am wondering is, did anyone else make a graph as another way to show the data? What kind of graph would work best to express all of the data, I am thinking a simple bar graph would be good but let me know. I have also seen some other post recommending to add color to the data collection chart which i never thought of and will be doing!

When making the datasheet for my posts I included the likes comments and shares, when making the notes I included what I thought was important about each post. In the essay, I included reasons for why my audience would have liked to see them and why I posted them.

Is this good design? Or is this boring?
Tumblr media
The assignment says: "Each student should add some design elements to this final submission. I don't want an essay!!! Use images, use your data graph, use headings and subheadings. Play with color. Build a design that helps convey your ideas about information literacy." So to spice it up, I threw in some images with captions as well as a pair of images to visualize a specific part I mention in the conclusion.
I'm not quite sure how much design is enough or too much.
Should I use more color? If so, where and how? How much color is too much?
Other than pictures, what graphics did you incorporate into your project?
For the bottom right picture, does anyone know how to make the text in a text box not sit at the bottom? The VS looks so silly down there.

Design Element Help!
For my data analysis chart I used my last five posts and looked at the amount of likes and comments. I also included a note how if there were two photos posted the same day just a little later than the first, the second photo got less likes than the first photo. I also noted that each photo had the same people in and they were tagged. I think this attracts more people to the photo since someone is tagged. Feedback on if I should add more detail on the patterns I saw wood be great!

How would I be able to create a visual diagram sort of thing with this kind of information? Having multiple MU oriented accounts following/interacting with the account I was researching.

starting courses requires a LOT of organization. Post a picture of what you do to start a new semester organized
I use a couple apps to keep myself on track. First of all, I use an app called structured that helps me keep track of my general schedule of the week. I consider myself to be a busy person, and this app helps me keep track of my life and helps me see what my available times are so I can fill them with schoolwork or spend it with friends or whatever would help me best. I also have a general college planner app where I keep all of my assignments. I like to use digital planners since majority of my schoolwork is digital so it helps me keep everything in the same place.

Here is the first paragraph of my final paper. I'm wondering if its too formal sounding for the topic and the target audience. "For my data analysis paper, I decided to go with my own TikTok account. I went with this account because I’m curious about how my posts do well and don’t do well in the algorithm and what might be the reasons for that. I also figured that doing my own account could give me the motivation to put more effort into this project."
