Im like 5 rows into this scarf and have already hit the commission mood of 'why did i take a commission i hate doing them so much i am never taking another commission again' except i actually have 2 commissions and i mostly took this scarf one as some twisted procrastination technique for the other one

#part of it is that i find them stressful and the other part is that its very hard to actually craft the thing i set out to craft #instead of some unrelated thing. so there is no creativity no fucking around and no whimsy #which is most of the fun for me >:( #also had a terrible weekend which is not helping. got offered a... idk bonus i guess to work this weekend at my old job #the pay of which is like double what my standard was there so thats nice #but every second of it sucked so bad. just finished and am very relieved #but ugh. has reminded me that i never want that job again and it is not (as i had been fooling myself into thinking) #easier than updating my resume #on the other hand re: the resume i took a wpm test #--quick sidetrack but i couldnt figure out why google was turning up weird business websites when looking for said test #until i figured out that i had not typed 'wpm test for resume' but 'wpi test for resume'-- #and i found that my wpm is currently 67 even when my hands still arent great and i havent written a thing in months #when i was a transcriptionist my highest sustained speed with acceptable (to a pretty thin margin #i think we were required to have 95% accuracy or so) was 98. so its definitely degraded but still decent #thats the only positive thing i have to say about the resume though lol
