save rock and roll should be explored more as a concept album. because while I don't think it was intended to be one like danger days or american idiot theres so clearly a STORY there. we have a whole hours worth of Story there and that story is ALSO IN THE LYRICS. normally I'm an "rpf is fine" girl but with save rock and roll theres such a clear concept behind the album that I cannot see it get boiled down any more to the "hiatus reunion !!! album" anymore

like does the story behind srar come from the hiatus? yes, it plays a MASSIVE effect on the story. the entire story practically IS a more violent form of their hiatus if you think about it. but also there is a concept with characters and a plotline we can also be exploring!!!!

Are you named after anyone? Government name, no. It's just something my mom found pretty. The name "Shanie" however, is after Shane McMahon, although I didn't choose it, some guys in a chat room some 20 years ago did.

When was the last time you cried? Two hours ago? I think? It was today. I cry a lot.

Do you have kids? Don't want them, can't have them anyway.

What sports do you play/have played? When I was young, skinny, and athletic, I was a hell of a slow-pitch softball catcher. Best in the league, and that was everyone else saying it, not me. That's the only sport I've ever played now and I couldn't play sports now if I tried.

Do you use sarcasm? Sometimes. Sarcasm is very difficult for me to grasp or use and since I usually get it wrong, I try to avoid it.

What's the first thing you notice about people? Hate to say it, but usually their hair. I have this thing about hair. The quickest way to get my attention is to have awesome hair.

What's your eye color? Hazel

"Scary movies" or "happy endings?" Happy endings. Every time.

Any talents? I have an ear for music, but I can't sing and I am so far out of practice in playing my instruments that I'd have to relearn from scratch. I'm pretty sure at this point I can't say I suck at writing anymore so we'll list that here too. I also used to be pretty good at origami, but I haven't done it in a long time.

Where were you born? An old forgotten mill town in Pennsylvania. It's a hole. I haven't been there in years and I hope I never go back.

What are your hobbies? Listening to music, buying action figures writing, reading fanfic, posing and photographing action figures, social media, watching youtube, MAKING ACTION FIGURES, printing and collecting fanart, decorating my apartment, DECORATING MY ACTION FIGURES' APARTMENT... No really, I'm obsessed with action figures. It's a thing.

Do you have any pets? The only pets I've ever had were a pair of ratties named Peach and Princess, and they've both passed.

How tall are you? 5'7" according to the doctor's office

Favorite subject in school? HISTORY!!! So much so, I was hoping to one day be a high school history teacher. Even went to college to get a degree in it. Failed though. They kicked me out of the program for being too mentally ill. I still spent three years as a substitute teacher though!

Dream job? Honestly? Graphic designer. I love editing graphics together so much but I've only ever had one single class on using photoshop in college back in 2001 so almost none of it is applicable today. Ok! That was fun! in reference to this post of mine I want to explore the Save Rock and Roll concept album because it IS there. its the youngblood chronicles, it's the story of saving rock and roll from the hands of an evil cult. it's important to point out that (similarly to the black parade) the events of the album happen out of order since the songs in the videos aren't the same as on the track list, and that is important in how the story goes ex: rat a tat callsback to alone together with the "check in tomorrow if I don't wake up dead" line, and those are the two videos in which patrick is brainwashed.

hi. rant about ybcpatrick at me. idk if I have any pertinent thoughts right now but I love angst so here's a thought: how much pain do you think he's in. just... constantly? like. he got sliced and diced. not just the hand, though that must be awful, but all his organs??? guy must be in agony whenever he gets enough of a breather to be aware of it

God he has to constantly be in agony. there's no way he ISNT in pain. he realistically shouldn't be alive or running around in any capacity like he is so I'm assuming there's something supernatural involved to keep him from dying. but he is definitely suffering. my personal headcanon is that while he's brainwashed he is so focused on his mission he just ignores the pain until his job is complete, which is kind of why he breaks down when he finally dies. his mission is complete. he protected the briefcase. also we do not talk about how the ybc lasts for at the very least a week and how after young volcanos none of them eat or drink water (im going to assume since they took the time to get cleaned up, Andy and pete did get something to eat or drink in between death valley and rat a tat). ESPECIALLY patrick. dude is running around for DAYS heavily almost fatally injured with no food or water. the amount of suffering he is in is probably SO severe. genuinely it's a miracle he didn't die from his injuries/condition alone in miss missing you. maybe he couldn't die until his job was complete.

I'm already talking about this a bit with a mutual but I want To Share because I love ideas.

pete is bitten by a vampire at a young age, he's not even 18 yet. and to cope with the fear of becoming a monster he runs away, never to be seen by family or friends again. after a year or two out on his own he stumbles across this abandoned hospital building, and hidden inside is the kid that's only a few years younger than him, with glowing yellow eyes and lots of heavy injuries.

the anti-music cult known as the Vixens were warned by a prophecy that a rock n roll group would successfully destroy their movement, and to prevent this they kidnapped the future lead singer and violently train him to be their weapon against their own fate. Patrick was too young to remember his old life before the cult, but he's theirs now. they tried to condition him to hate all music, to react violently to it, to want to kill and hurt anyone who stands in his way. but it didn't quite work, and all it did was leave him traumatized and injured, in need of someone's help.

pete takes patrick away from the cult and the two become stuck together, with patrick not wanting to leave the first person who showed him kindness and pete not wanting to leave him to die.
