This may be one of my favorite scenes in the entire VN, just the whole scene is just so good, I’ve seen it half a dozen times, I keep coming back to it, and it keeps bringing me to tears.

Tara telling Morgan how incredible she is.

Morgan realizing Tara is in love with her and actually saying it, as well as Tara’s response to that.

The way that Morgan says if she didn’t know Tara’s rambles she wouldn’t be able to catch what she’s saying, but as it is, she’s holding onto every word. And how you can really hear how she is rambling after that, just the speed that she’s speaking there.

Morgan calling her a mess, but a mess she’s in love with. That’s just so sweet and cute.

The way Morgan cuts her off with a kiss, and how it’s described as more meaningful than before.

I just love everything about this scene so much.

Went through the gallery of HotW and just picked out a few pictures I really liked.

I really like this, Abigail and Tara, back to back.

Given how they are mentioned to be a pair, both full of energy that their girlfriends don’t have, it feels fitting.

And I love the contrast between the two sides here.

And I really like this picture of Maddie, just out exploring, it’s nice.

This is just adorable. And they even have the joycons matching their hair colors. It’s just so cute, with Tara holding Morgan like that, I love them.

This is the cutest. Abigail trying on Maddie’s glasses!

Love that Tara has a trans pride necklace.

And Maddie got Abigail a bunch of food to eat. I love the idea of her just taking her out to places to eat, since she couldn’t eat for so long.

And I love that she has a lesbian pride earring.

Nothing super important to say about this one, I just really like how the tone of the scene looks, with all the dark colors. I really like how Morgan looks here against that background.

And I love this one of Abigail going to Maddie when she fell asleep while working.

I just love all of these.

Honestly, I’d love to post more of my Arknights liveblog or to liveblog Utena or WfM or something, I have nearly all of the next Arknights vignette’s screenshots already, but I just can’t.

Not to say i feel like I have an obligation to keep up with my liveblogs, the amount that are on “hiatus” for me that I may never get back to speaks to that pretty well.

I’m just realizing that my Heart of the Woods hyperfixation is at a level that I find myself only wanting to progress in it, whether that’s through the VN itself, or through my liveblog.

I’m not even halfway done with it, I’m worried I won’t complete it before the 8th.

It’s a wonderful feeling, but my love for the story feels like it’s at such a level that I find myself needing to tear myself away from it so I can properly calm down.

This is less me saying I should be liveblogging my other stuff and more me commenting on the degree that my love for HotW has progressed.

I’ve already drawn two drawings for this hyperfixation, which feels like it says a lot considering I’m not even halfway done.

I really love this scene, I keep coming back to it.

The way that Morgan sees that Tara is destroying her friendship with Maddie, and refuses to let her, how she rips apart Tara’s arguments and tells her that her relationship with Maddie is too important to just let it die like this.

And the way she starts by just trying her best to get a word in, and when that doesn’t work, she shouts Tara’s name to make sure she has her attention, before telling her how what she’s saying is nonsense.

Tara puts it really well when she says she shot through all her bullshit so well. And she didn’t have to, she could’ve just let Tara destroy her friendship with Maddie, but she can’t let that happen, she knows how close they are, and what a huge mistake this would be for Tara.

I just really love that she put a stop to Tara being angry at Maddie and closing her off so quickly. It’s really nice that Tara has someone who’s willing to speak up against her like this.

Hey, Heart of the Woods? Earlier when I said that I was concerned about the fact that Abigail is a ghost and Maddie is still a living person, so there’s that distance between them, and that I hoped that they could find a way to stay together.

Getting emotional over the lyrics for the ending theme for Heart of the Woods.

Like, I feel like there’s not much to them, just the general saying of just giving things time, how there’s so much time in this life, and it’ll be okay, just give it time.

But the way that feels when looking at the ending to Heart of the Woods really gets to me.

Like, every character is unsure of where things go from here, they’re all experiencing a brand new life, and it’s like the lyrics are talking about how they have so much time, so they just need to wait and enjoy themselves, there’s so much to do, so much left in their lives.

Morgan finally has people who care about her and she’s free from Evelyn, she has a girlfriend, family, friends, everything she could hope for.

Maddie finally gets to see who she is separate from Tara, and she finally knows what it’s really like to be in love.

Tara finally knows what it’s like to be in love, too. She knows what it’s like to experience something that’s just more than what she’s used to. And she managed to keep he friendship with Maddie and deal with it.

And Abigail, you could say she has less time than she used to, but I don’t think that’s true. She was basically frozen in time, unable to really explore or live her life. So her becoming human again is a way for her to really start again, live out her life, enjoy herself with her new friends and family.

Well, that’s it. No more Heart of the Woods.

I’ve read it all, except for the sequel.

But there’s something about finally posting that last HotW post. I don’t want more, the story has a great ending and I don’t need more. But I still want more time with these characters.

I love this VN so much, it’s got to be in my top few VNs. I just love everything about it so much.

I guess, I just hope that this studio didn’t just make one good VN and that their others are just as good. I guess I’ll see whenever I get to Please Be Happy.
