wappy, does carlein and the great sage ever have children with latil?
Carlein can’t have children, but he made some deal with Ranamun and became the official father of Ranamun’s second child with Latil
It might seem weird, but it’s apparently something that’s done in the imperial family between consorts so Latil didn’t really have any problem with it
The Great Sage didn’t have any children with Latil, but the side stories ended with Latil deciding to make her 6th child have Guesta, Klein, and Zaicin all in charge of the child
I honestly don’t think Guesta will even agree with that, so I don’t see how it’ll work 😭😭 but at least Klein will be happy because he seemed to not care and just wanted a child to take care of (he even wanted to steal Guesta’s child from him by making his reputation worse so he becomes the official father 💀)
Since it’s kind of an open ending and Latil, Klein, and the Great Sage are immortal or will live for a much longer time than normal people, maybe they’ll have children with Latil one day 😆 I think Alphatart just made them in charge of the 6th child so it doesn’t seem like the novel ended with them not having any children with Latil (and also so it wouldn’t be unfair for their fans)

You indeed are "MOTH nerd". Your knowledge is massive when it comes to this manhwa *shocked pikachu face*
Btw, who's your favorite character? Tho Sonnaught has my heart; I still like Tasir and Guesta a lot:)
Hahahha thanks 😂😂
I guess you mean my favorite ML (?). In that case, it’s definitely Tasir. Not only do I like his personality, and find him an interesting character, but I also genuinely like the relationship he has with Latil. In terms of romance, he’s the only one I ship her with.
I’m not a big fan of tropes, so regardless of a ML’s back story or character traits, if he doesn’t have a healthy relationship dynamic with the protagonist, I’m not gonna ship him with her. For instance, there are some other consorts I liked at beginning, but when they showed aggressiveness, dishonesty, disrespect or possessiveness I stopped liking them.
For others, although I didn’t particularly dislike their personalities or thought of them as bad people, I found their dynamic with Latil to be very conflictive. Some always ended up fighting with her, or sometimes they low key started to show toxic traits that I didn’t enjoy at all.
In the end, love needs to make sense to me. Two people can be really nice individually, but they should bring the best of each other when they’re together, otherwise they’re probably better off without the other.
I’m sorry, I talk too much 😂😂 In terms of personality, I do like Zaicin, Girgoll and Meradim individually. The Great Sage is actually one of the best people in the novel, but it’s exactly because of this that I don’t think he’s a great match for Latil. While she’s nice, she’s definitely more “morally gray”, where as the Great Sage is just TOO good of a person. Maybe that’s what makes it hard for Latil to be completely honest with him about some aspects of her life. And you know, honesty and trust are both important in relationships.

Hmm in your opinion and based on everything you've read so far, how big of a chance does tasir have in getting the royal consort position? Im honestly praying for Tasir out of all the boys because honestly, he's the most logical choice
Hi! Thanks for your question!
Before giving my opinions, I believe it'd best to bring what's been mention in the novel about it so far, at least the most important highlights. Hopefully, it'll be more helpful and descriptive in that way.
From what I remember, the first meaningful comment about the Royal Seat took place in chapter 303, after Tasir had offered his help to arrange Latil and Guesta's entrance to the Duke Daga's house in Karisen. After Latil had returned from her meeting with Tasir, she told Sonnaught her perspective on Tasir and the other concubines' personalities (quote).
***
"To be honest, personal feelings aside, Tasir is more suited to a Royal Consort than a concubine."
(...)
Although she did not tell Sonnaught, Latil thought that the fact that Tasir did not speak about other concubines was also a very distinguishing characteristic of a Royal Consort.
There was no Royal Consort now, and Latil was anxious for the conflicts among the concubines, so she was paying attention to what happened in the harem. However, if there was one later, he would coordinate all the small events on his own. At the same time, a Royal Consort should remain calm and interfere to prevent other confrontations, but in Latil's view, only Tasir could do such a thing.
Guesta would be too gentle, Carlein would leave the concubines behind, Klein would come forward and get rid of everyone, Ranamun would also get rid of everyone, and the Great Sage would be too kind and would get swept away.
***
After that, we didn't get to see Latil's perspective about the topic for quite a while, but in chapter 367, she did express her worries about Tasir's lack of sleep, and wondered if this could worsen with nobles' pressure when he became the Royal Consort.
The subject continued to be delayed until chapter 585, where the ministers urged Latil to choose a Royal Consort. In the next chapter, she mentioned she didn't know which consort should be elected, so she examined the pros and cons of each of them one by one (quote).
***
'Ranamun is actually the leading candidate to become the Royal Consort. He is the one who will have the least opposition if he is chosen, and he also has the title of adversary. People even like Ranamun's silence. Even if he does not speak much, he has a confident appearance. But can he get along with others?'
'Carlein has charisma. Because he is the mercenary king, he is perceived as trustworthy among people. In addition, since he has lived as a nobleman and a commoner for a long time, he understands their perspectives. But he also has a non-human perspective.'
'If I choose Klein as the Royal Consort, I will be a complete ally of Karisen. The next Emperor of Karisen is also Klein's nephew, so we will get along well for generations to come. Besides, Klein is surprisingly loyal to the point that he even gave his soul for me. I feel that he is someone who would never betray me. But he is so temperamental...'
'Tasir strongly appealed to the ministers with the temple case, and now no one can deny that Tasir is smart. I also rely on Tasir a lot, and he is the one who would protect the country most wisely when I am away. But if he becomes the Royal Consort, there will be a lot of backlash from both sides. People have strong opinions about merchants, and the ministers have strong opinions about commoners.'
'Guesta is brave, smart, and has the ability to protect people without being noticeable. Although not as much as Ranamun, Guesta has a lot of support from the ministers and nobles, and when given a task, he takes it with responsibility and does it well. However, among the public, Guesta has low recognition and support.'
'Zaicin has a warm heart and is the most kind. The more monsters appear in the future, the more prominent his presence will be. If I make him the Royal Consort, I can get the support of temples and paladins. But can he play the role of a Royal Consort? To be a Royal Consort is not just a matter of having a good personality.'
'Meradim... He is bright.'
'Girgol... He is strong.'
***
Not long afterwards, Latil went to the harem to ask if there were any concubines who did not want to become the Royal Consort for them not be considered among her options. Based on their personalities, she thought that Guesta and Zaicin would not care about raising to that position. However, Guesta replied that although he had no desire for power, he wanted to become her official husband, and Zaicin was interrupted by White Flower (Baek-Hwa), who told her about the Great Sage's desires for justice. Klein, on the other hand, gave a detailed explanation of why each concubine was not suitable for the position, but he could not find any flaw in Tasir.
Later on, in chapters 595-596, when Latil asked Tasir for advice to reject the marriage proposal made by Hyacinth, he literally told her that it was 'hard' to accept, but 'very easy' to reject. This is what happened next (quote).
***
"If this Tasir becomes the Royal Consort, it is better that you not marry him. But if you are planning to choose another concubine, I think it would be better for Her Majesty to accept his proposal."
"!"
"Your Majesty, do you have any intention of making me the Royal Consort?"
"Why do you ask such obvious things?"
When Latil asked back in bewilderment, Tasir looked surprised for a moment and soon laughed like a fox. Latil's words seemed satisfactory.
"I see. Sounds natural to me."
"Of course it is. You are the wisest and most balance concubine."
***
The conversation continued a bit more, but we haven't had any significant progress ever since.
I'm sorry for the long answer, but I've read a lot of misinformation in regards of this, and although I'm a big Tasir supporter, I really want people to get to their own conclusions.
Now, to answer your question, in my opinion Tasir has the biggest chance of becoming the Royal Consort. This isn't a controversial answer, btw. Even the Korean fandom agrees with this. From what I've seen, 'Tasir as the Royal Consort' is one of the most popular comments in every chapter LOL (especially the ones were Tasir makes an appearance). However, the fact that the answer for who should be chosen seems so obvious and logical, makes me think that it won't be that easy to get to that point.
As I've mentioned before, I do think there's a chance of other consorts having that role temporarily in the future. Why? Mainly two reasons. The first one is Alphatart's writing style, as she usually extends arcs, gives a lot plot twists and never really goes for the clisé (at least not initially). The second reason is that although it seems obvious for most of the readers, it's still not so obvious for the characters. Of course, Latil has no problem in accepting Tasir's intelligence and character as the most suitable for the position, but she still has doubts in the nobles' response, which I hate, but I also find partially understandable. Latil has lost a lot of support of her ministers in the recent chapters, and their pressure and critics upon her as a ruler are a subject of constant worry for her. So, in a way, her doubts are natural.
Besides, the theory of Tasir leaving the harem is growing in me these days. I used to theorise about this before, but when Fleura was born, the scenarios I'd picture changed drastically. Yet, now that it's clearer that Fleura and Latil won't get close (I still believe she isn't a baby btw), I feel more confident about retaking my old theories. I've also noticed that the author is showing each consort's potential reason to leave the harem, but she hasn't shown anything that would suggest Tasir walking out so far. The idea of 'the-least-expected-to-leave' concubine actually leaving is something that I'd consider a smart move and find very appealing.
Seeing how the recent chapters have predicted a confrontation between Raean and Tasir, I believe this is possible. How? Well, we know that Tasir's plan against Raean has a 58% rate of success according to his calculations, and in today's chapter Latil has accepted to go with it (although she initially didn't want to proceed unless he was 100% sure). So, I believe there's a chance that something goes wrong with the plan and Tasir feels guilty about it. At this point, maybe Sonnaught will show Tasir the letter Latil asked him to hide, and complain (btw Latil already told Sonnaught that Tasir was the one who came up with the idea). If he ever leaves, I believe he will do it by thinking is the best for Latil. But ofc, I still believe he will eventually be chosen as the Royal Consort, because in the end, it's what's best for Tarium.

Latil : Hi Jaisin, I really liked that crazy dance you were doing
Jaisin : Thank you, Your Majesty. I could show it to you again if you'd like
Ranamun : What did you say, casino trash? You're gonna show her something?
Jaisin : Just some dance movements-
Ranamun : Nobody shows my Her Majesty anything. Especially movement.
