the hermitcraft charity auction is live btw. the bidding is as reasonable as you can expect

silly answer: nooooooo my ability to buy decked out for myself forever taken from me....

serious answer: no but genuinely the bidding being "unreasonable" is the IDEAL for a charity auction. the goal of a charity auction isn't to get merch to fans; it's to raise an absurd amount of money for charity by having items go for far more than they would go for outside of an auction setting (and then getting that merch to fans). most of the items up for sale are one-of-a-kind collectables that are clearly intended to go for huge numbers, and that's the goal!

so like... more money than i can spend? yeah. more money than is reasonable? it's for charity, baby, no number is unreasonable. the higher that number goes up the BETTER. scar has already mentioned on discord that the artbook, at this stage in the bidding, like half a week before the auction closes, has already reached a price that will pay for a go cart on its own. that's INSANE. i'm so excited!!!!!!

and for all the rest of us who absolutely cannot afford the items on sale, they also have live a normal donations page! and this year their goal is 500k, given last time, so let's see if we can smash it!!!

........also, hm. some items hermits have mentioned (joe's abacus, for one).... are not here yet. i wonder if more items will drop in the following days...?

i take great interest in geography-related games and sometimes i open google maps and zoom into locations to help better my knowledge. while looking around the middle east, i found the top photos. afterwards, i looked the location up only to find out it had been destroyed. i've stated that i do not like, nor do i plan to go into politics, (i am quite young and feel that im not mature enough to fully understand them) but i really felt that i had to share this
