I'm going to try my hand at doing sprite commissions to help fund my future top surgery. I've never done this before, but sprites are easiest for me, and I can do them pretty fast.

Starting price is $30, and all sprites are mix and match. Each sprite comes with:

Five eyebrows (neutral, sad, mad, arched, flat)

Highly customizable eyes (two eye styles (narrowed and neutral), big and small irises, three sclera colors (neutral, upset, and angry), and different directions (left, front, right))

Six mouths (neutral, smile, grin, blep, cringe, shouting)

Expression add-ons (blush, tears, shadow, sweat, exclamation points, flowers, laugh lines)

Two outfits

All files will be .psd format, which according to Google is compatible with CSP, which is what everyone else seems to use. 😅

I cannot draw armor to save my life, so I will not draw that, sorry. Also, I will draw fankids as well as trolls. Visual references are preferred, but really detailed written descriptions work, too. Additional outfits and hair styles are $3 each

Like all caverns, Kaningård (“rabbit warren”) has a lot of different positions. Its specialty is, on paper, the containment and study of mutants and limebloods to better eradicate their genes from mother grubs’ reproductive capacities.

In practice it aids them in survival, both in the cavern as well as preparing them for a healthier life outside of it.

It is a cold place suited to a maximum population of around a thousand consistent troll inhabitants and a few hundred grubs and wrigglers. It is located in the equivalent of troll Sweden, and best fosters land dwellers of varying mid and high castes, but cares for plenty of lowblood grubs as well.

Further roles detailed below the cut.

EGG TENDER: Trolls who first clean, survey, and catalogue any eggs that come in, as well as care for them during their incubations. There are only a few present at the moment, as Kaningård’s own mother grub is not yet of age to produce her own offspring.

WRIGGLER MINDER: Those who deal with the newly hatched grubs, responsible not only for their care but for recording information about their health, habits, and psiionic ability, as well as any other notable qualities.

TRIAL PROCTOR: Trolls specifically trained to administer and oversee a newly pupated grub’s cavern trials. Kaningård administers a variety of trials that take into mind a troll’s particular needs or disadvantages. It is important to ensure their more likely survival on the surface, but also to give every grub a fair shot.

DIETARY SPECIALIST: Grubs are, as much as possible, tested for allergies or any other health concerns and fed in account with such by trained professionals.

CULTIVATOR: With limited moonlight and a location unfavorable for farming, the cavern supports its own food supply as much as possible. It possesses various underground greenhives and keeps a small amount of livestock in shallower passages near the surface.

Some trolls also hunt and forage for the cavern in nearby forests to provide fresh meat and other plants they cannot grow themselves, but they still remain somewhat dependent on imports.

DROID/DRONE HANDLER: While Kaningård’s head matron frowns upon the use of imperial drones to cull and demand genetic samples, they reluctantly allow in robotic ones so long as they are strictly controlled by their handlers.

Simple droids, used primarily for sanitation, architecture, and general maintenance, pass without issue, and the cavern always needs a few trolls to handle requests for their use and maintain the ones in service.

MEDICULLER: Kaningård aims to preserve the lives of as many grubs and wrigglers as possible, but as always, not all of them can be saved. Those who do thrive will receive as much medical care as possible to help them do so, and a painless death if it becomes necessary.

LAB WORKER: Scientists of varying fields work together in the cavern’s laboratories, searching for ways to improve the life quality of all types of mutants, as well as to stabilize psiionics that cause health issues, and any other project the head matron deems useful. They also have the riskiest job, coming up with sufficient research and evidence to appear as if they are supporting Imperial casteism.

SECURITY DETAIL: While most caverns have trolls trained to defend both the other inhabitants and the young trolls they care for, Kaningård’s forces are equipped to also deal with the empire or supernatural threats if needed. The head matron gives few details, but assures their guards that there are many things that might try to attack them, and not all are mortal or natural.

There are also small organic constructs scattered all around the cavern to keep an eye on things, though they are rarely seen or admitted to existing. They seem to be able to change shape at will, if unobserved.

OUTSIDE LIAISON: Trolls who frequently come and go from the cavern for various reasons. Kaningård is not isolated as other caverns often are - trolls are welcome to come and go from the surface with the proper leave requests and notifications - but these workers perform some particular service for their cavern, be it making trips to other ones, handling imported supplies, or otherwise.

LUSUS TENDER: Trolls who ensure the steady flow of lusii to pick up their pupated charges, and that said lusii don’t eat too many of their fellows. They keep tabs on breeding seasons, general health, and any threats to lusus populations such as disease that might enter the area.

Ball King Nominee No. 2  - Chiloa Teroct

I want to nominate Chiloa Teroct to be the [X] Ball King [ ] Ball Queen [ ] Grand Couturier 

of the Ball of 12th Perigee Eve 2023 because …  I know of no other worthy of such a title. My heart of hearts, my darling prince charming, I feel like I just bloom under his gaze! He deserves to be crowned a proper king, if only for a night or two.

Another sweep, another ball! Trolls young and old have come from light years away to the latest iteration of the grand 12th Perigee Ball, hosted in the wooded wilds far from the polluting lights of the cities. Out there, it’s easy for trolls to shed their normal lives and troubles, exchanging them for luxury and glamor and joy. Out there, any troll from any caste could be a king or queen…

This season’s ball has made quite a stir among the guests. The prompt has shifted dramatically since it's first announcement so many perigees ago, from a vampire and sweets themed decadence to… a surprisingly clownier veil abruptly coloring the dark luxury. Rumors abounded, newspapers furiously called the host for clarification, particularly brave paparazzi attempted to infiltrate the home itself! What could have caused this abrupt change? Has the host converted to the Mirthful Messiahs? Is the host being replaced? Has the Empire finally stepped in to dictate changes for a previously private event?

Even so, attendees took the theme change in stride, even as the gossip mags reported construction on the mansion grounds at an impressive scale that has never been seen before. Clown masks were design and fitted, burgundy velours were draped over the shoulders of lively harlequins and the finest sweets were being ordered from many a chef across Alternia.

Rumors abounded! Message boards dedicated to the ball erupted with claims of what caused this change, but one thread of information seemed to be consistent even across the false claims of those who simply wanted fame - Kilran Barbas has sold out.

But that couldn't be the case, could it? Someone rich enough to host the ball couldn't have been so broke - or desperate enough - to sell out, could they? What could have caused this? What did he wish to pay off so badly that he sold out?

Still, there was no answer from the host himself, so trolls were left to speculate for weeks as they tailored their costumes and watched the news.

Trolls that arrived at the mansion would be awestruck to see the changes that have dotted the pristine winter landscape. A cliff, destroyed since last sweep's ball, has made it's reappearance as though it was never gone. The lake - used for it's mirror like finish to light up the night and for chaste trysts across the water, has been reshaped and aestheticized into a romantic's heart shaped dream.

The palace grounds themselves was almost unrecognizable! Was this a ball, or was it a circus? Carnival booths stood clustered away from the main gardens, glittering from their lights and prizes from the cheap to the luxurious available for trolls to earn. A massive circus tent stood behind the ball across docks built over the heart shaped lake, and inside was a motley crew of performers willing to put on a show for the guests who came.

Indeed, this truly was a theatre production in the making. A far cry from the other years, but perhaps even more elaborate than historical gilded swords or hand grown crystals.

The courtyard was cold, yes, but the crowds kept the air heated. Firebreathers, of course, helped with that. Sword swallowers distracted and awed the guests with their talents, and acrobats assisted in pointing trolls towards the nearest refreshments with a dainty foot contorted over their heads.

It was a fine performance, and even finer hors-d'oeuvers, but the performances were nothing more than an appetizer. This was not the main show, after all! Where was the ringmaster? The coven leader of this little rainbowdrinker masquerade? Could he have been replaced, as many trolls believed from the rumors? Truly, even the most dramatic act from the entertainment couldn't distract the ballgoers from their gossip.

- Until, there was a sudden click, and a bright spotlight lit up the doorway of the mansion. The guests hushed and turned, eager to see who - or what - would step out of the door.

There was a pause, then - the door opened and Kilran Barbas stepped forward to address his guests.

Dressed in a flowing, glittering gown of blood red gemstones and a feathered headdress that almost seemed to come alive, Kilran was a proud figure to behold. Even prouder, however, was the massive troll who strolled behind him. At twelve feet tall and larger than most scuttlebuggies, the mysterious benefactor who sponsored this sweep's decor and terraforming was a true space celebrity - a tyrian warmonger who's long since given up his blade for a life of clownish hedonism. With the friendly smile on his face and eagerness to welcome ballgoers, one could almost forget how Gluttony gained his rank centuries ago.

"Welcome, guests!" Kilran called out, pointedly yet politely ignoring the lumbering clown fish behind him. “To the 12th Perigee Ball! I am yet again honored to host again this sweep, and I am excited to see the enthusiasm everyone has brought to my hive. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing your smiling faces! This event isn’t about wealth, or notoriety, or connections - but rather, the warmth we all share by being together this time of the sweep. Whether you came with a date or if you came alone, know that you are what makes this night truly special.”

“So please, come inside - and enjoy the Carnivale Confections I’ve prepared for you this evening.”

With a wave of his hands and a delicate bow of his head, Kilran and his benefactor stepped aside as the guests surged forward to enter the mansion.

Harlequins with vampire fangs guided the crowd through the halls at a steady march, through the grand gallery of past kings and queens and the decadent tables of sweets and food available for trolls to enjoy. Cotton candy sculptures hung from the ceilings, while trolls fried funnel cake in the likeness of guests as they stopped to admire their work.

But how could these portraits be compared to those of the kings and queens? Lined up and lit with multicolored spotlights, the previous crowned royalty of the sweeps past lined the foyer gallery and they were but an audience to those who attend. The greatest show on earth was about to begin, so why wouldn't they? It's not as though every troll is able to be such a showstopper to be singled out and crowned the best of them all, is it?

And ah, the crowns - at the back of the foyer, framed by circus tent curtains and chocolate fountains, stood the crowns for the King and Queen and the Couturier's cape. Glinting and rotating upon their golden stands, no troll could miss them from wherever they stood.

It would be a rough, long battle - but wouldn't it be worth it? To be crowned the lead of this ball's final act?

Well, that remains to be seen, wouldn't it? But until the final act comes and the curtains close, why not enjoy yourselves?

this was from 2021, but i wanna reblog the year Pietri managed to win a title at the ball- the first to win Ball Courtier! In character, this outfit has been donated to the ball foundation, and is now on display in their grand halls- be sure to have your troll take a look this year!

There are few flowering plants that are as versatile and hardy as the dependable carnation flower.

Pietri is returning to the 12th Perigee’s Ball, once again going as @cloudbattrolls‘ Chiloa’s date! 

I put a lot of thought and care into Pie’s outfit here, especially re: the theme “Crystallize”- her suit and collar ruff are supposed to evoke a carnation in the frost, all trimmed in snowy lace~

While Uunive can appreciate a good Carnivale, this year the Blood and Candy theme called to her more!

Pulling inspiration from the vampires of RE:V, Uunive's dress is supposed to evoke Lady D's iconic dress with a more daring cut and filigree trim, while her necklace is inspired by the chokers the Dimitrescu daughters wear.

Bloody dye splatters were added along the edges to evoke a "Massacre at 5pm, Formal Event at 6pm" vibe. The fur stole was added to help keep her warm with all that skin exposed- this dress is backless, after all!
