In this presentation, I want to explain the TETRA-over-IP (ToIP) technology. TETRA-over-IP is often confused with IP-over-TETRA, but these are really different subjects. We will consider TETRA-over-IP only, but it should be clear at the end of the presentation what the difference is. We will start with the basics of TETRA-over-IP. Next we will look into the benefits of TETRA-over-IP, but we will also consider the myths which frequently surround the TETRA-over-IP subject. Some potential difficulties and concerns will be discussed next. Also some guidelines for TETRA-over-IP system evaluation will be described, which is useful to verify whether TETRA-over-IP is the right technology for your application. The presentation will be closed with a summary of facts and a conclusion. Although the presentation may look somewhat biased towards TETRA-over-IP or just the opposite, we have taken much care to ensure that the presented information is based on facts only.
