Jameela Jamil on Taylor Swift:
''Here comes the hate train because a woman made stuff that she forced nobody to buy or pay attention to.''

actually one of the craziest things from the past couple days is seeing taylor antis(tm) listen to ttpd and then pretending to be shocked saying "omg it's SO BAD" while also insulting taylor in the same sentence like.....what is your goal. why would you listen to an album by someone you hate just so that you can get even more insufferable about it. what is going on in your brain can't you just accept that certain things aren't for you

new skincare — thoughts & rambles | april 2024 — week 17
DAMDAM Matcha Boost Hydrating & Restorative Eye Serum
This product looks interesting. I haven’t looked super far into it since I’m not at a point with any skin conditions where I want to use a retinol or retinol-like product like this contains. However, I have had an eye on DAMDAM since they entered Sephora so I’ll keep looking into this brand. I really like the aesthetics of this brand.
Glossier Invisible Shield Priming SPF 50
Yayyyyyy it’s another sunscreennnnnnnnnnnnn ugh. I’m so sunscreened out. Maybe it’s because I can’t use many sunscreens but I am tired of sunscreen. Anyway, this product looks fine. It uses chemical sunscreen so it *should* appear clear on the skin and not give the type of finish a mineral sunscreen would. I personally can’t use chemical sunscreens, I’ve had a reaction to most chemical sunscreen ingredients, so I’m just talking about this one but I couldn’t use it. Nor want to. I’m a bit tired of Glossier.
There will probably be a lull in new releases now that the Sephora sale is done, so I’ll keep an eye on products I think are interesting and talk about those.

This album is about how two men broke her heart just months apart and how she was quite literally going through a mental breakdown while trying to put on a front while performing for millions of people on a world tour but you wouldn’t know that because you’re either so caught up in trying to figure out who each song is about or your so caught up in your hate for her that you’d rather make fun of her in her most vulnerable, raw, and honest state just to make yourself feel better

people pointing to the silliest lyrics on ttpd and using them as evidence that taylor swift is "cringe" or a bad songwriter is making me want to commit acts of violence

The fact that articles about which songs are about who were published not even an hour after the album was released infuriates me. This album is so clearly about Taylor and her story; not the men who may have inspired her writings. Never has a Taylor album been so centered around her and her reflecting on herself and people trying to attribute which songs belong to what muse misses the entire point of the work.
