You know what, you're right. Sometimes I think they both go a bit too far with their insults (especially Aradia), but at the end of the day you can tell they really care for each other.

i honestly think half the reason i ship this so much is that they are fucking hilarious together and a lot of the time i think people tend to forget that they’re not afraid to be totally sarcastic to one another. it’s downright precious, okay. all of their interactions in canon are gold.

My thoughts on Homestuck ships (Updated)

So, over a year ago, I rated Homestuck ships. And my opinions have changed since then. So yeah, here we go

John<3Rose: 5/10 Still don't have an opinion

John<3Dave: 5/10 Again, still don't have an opnion

John<3Jade: 0/10 The fact that they are siblings and that this is gross as hell remains unchanged

Rose<3Dave: 0/10 same as John and Jade

Dave<3Jade: 7/10 It still has potential

Jane<3Jake: 1/10 The epilogues still exist

Jake<3Dirk: 5/10 uhhhh

Rose<3Kanaya: 7/10 I still don't ship this as much as other people, but it's still good. Also, I enjoy the drama in HS2

Dave<3Karkat: 4/10 Same as Rose and Kanaya, but leaning towards the negative because of the below ship

Karkat<3Terezi: 8/10 *deeper sigh*

Terezi<>Vriska: 3/10 Discovering that I love Karezi has made me hate this a lot more than I should.

Terezi<3<Gamzee: 1/10 Gamzee still is an abusive piece of crap. That's all there is to say

Fair. It’s just… as an Arasol shipper, I want them to interact more. Also, I kinda hated Aradia for just leaving Sollux in a world that hates trolls. I still have a disdain for her, but I guess it’s lessened nowadays.

New Homestuck2 Update

Dave and Aradia interacted, cool. When will Aradia and Sollux share screentime with each other? All I want is for them to reunite and make out already. With this line from Davebot here,-

DAVEBOT: ...honestly if you guys trust each other it makes sense

DAVEBOT: you really need to know yourself and your partner

-I think it's a really good possibility that Arasol could be canon! Can't wait to see what happens next.

Alright, update on this (probably should’ve done this sooner but oh well). So, we know that Sollux isn’t stranded on the tower (thankfully). However, that point of Aradia leaving him to die still somewhat stands knowing that Jane’s army is probably going to attack the meteor. What also still stands is my hatred for Aradia in post canon. I swear, she needs to get her butt back to Sollux.

Ok, time for a tangent: I think aradia leaving sollux behind on earth c was a terrible decision

For those of you who don't know what i'm talking about, at the end of the candy epilogues, aradia leaves her boyfriend sollux to go pursue dirk with alt calliope and davebot; this was a terrible choice and here's why.

Firstly, it completely throws out an opportunity for them to interact more and develop their chemistry; we don't know much about their relationship, and as an arasol shipper, I want answers!

Secondly, it's just so cold, callous, and uncaring for Aradia to leave her closest friend behind. She didn't even say bye! Sollux is pretty much the only one who cares about her. I mean, he MOURNED for her, felt guilty for killing her even though he was being mind controlled by vriska, and stood by her side to the point where he ignored his other friends, including his best friend Karkat. That is absolute dedication right there, and what does aradia reward him with? Why, abandoning him, of course! and later, she forgets all about him until davebot reminds her. and she doesn't show any concern for him, thinking "oH hE's PrObAbLy Ok" and "hE fOuNd My WiLeS cHaRmInG aNd IrReSiStAbLe". You left him stranded on the roof of some unknown building, is that okay to you?! (i mean he can probably just fly down, but still!). There's also the fact she left Sollux is a timeline where everybody hates trolls; in other words, Aradia has left him to die. It's just so baffling that aradia suddenly doesn't care about her boyfriend. and since homestuck^2 probably won't be finished in another 413,612 years, we may never know what will become of them!
