something so special about fig and kristen’s whole deal this season that has really manifested here at the end is the ways in which these two teenage girls, who in many ways have had to parent themselves, take their respective goddesses hands to guide them back to themselves. as above so below! ankarna and cassandra learn from their champions as much as fig and kristen are empowered by their goddesses. I think it’s such an incredible representation of what it means to be a teenage girl! how it can be beautiful AND scary, empowering AND unfair.…

throwing down a wild card that Ankarna saves Gorgug somehow and Gorgug takes on the Rage epithet on behalf of Ankarna to free her from that, while she takes back everything else true to herself. He's been learning so much about how to control Rage on a level previously unheard of and discovered a link between mathematics, music and Rage, if anyone can handle the pure raw Rage of a god and stay themselves it's Gorgug, like Lydia x100. He takes on all that Rage that corrupted Ankarna, freeing her, and wields it himself in a controlled manner that leaves him not a god himself but some kind of partial god like how people can become devils and archdevils and so on.
and now I'm going to dial it right back to reality lmao and say Gorgug probably just gets revived by one of his friends
still Gorgug Thistlespring a demigod of Protective Rage and Righteous Fury, linked to Ankarna, would be fucking dope. He's always talking about dads and that he'll take another dad but what about a new mom, huh? Momma Ankarna

my takeaway from all this disk horse in Dimension 20 is that some people need to play more boardgames. Go seduce, lie, gaslight, manipulate and/or kill your friend's character in a roleplaying game and you'll feel so much better afterward. When you're not playing enough pretend, you can start getting mad at other people playing pretend because thoughts like "why aren't y'all going that way! I'd have gone that way!" will keep increasing without a let out. And game nights are not only good for you socially, it also lets you deal with the fact that everyone is just playing by the rules, even if it's not how you want it to be and it lets you from taking things personally when it's just people playing a game. So pleeeeeeease just go have like a boardgame night and see if your mood about all this improves. I'm begging.

“You suck at PVP - you suck at this game!!” Wasn’t even Riz speaking - it was Brian Murphy, the actual real life person, speaking directly to Kipperlilly.

it's funny how Adaine might have been the perfect Bad Kid for Porter to corrupt yet he didn't even know her name. She was the younger unfavorite daughter in her family, prone to panic attacks and lashing out. She wanted to punch people in the face the first day of school, she's the first one of the Bad Kids who killed a person instead of a monster and she did it with a melee weapon.
Even after she is in a healthier environment she is actually more vicious than fearful like she was in freshman year. She lashes out against authority figures and injustice, she is proud of killing her father by punching off his head. everytime someone wrongs her she response twice as hard in a fury that even the rest of the party doesn't match.
And to make things worse, the Wizard teacher is a condescending bitch who talks down to her students. It would have been so easy for him to take Adaine under his wing. She's literally everything he pretended Fig was and now she's turning her anger on him. The guy is not only a bad teacher, an all around dick, but he's also as bad at proselytizing as Kristen is.
Frankly all of the bad kids were kind of perfect for him and his plans, if a bit too headstrong and willful, but he was never clever enough as he thinks. That's why he's being mocked by a bunch of teenagers when he tries to get them to debate him/ engage with his philosophy

I saw someone say the rat grinders were disappointing as villains because of how easy they’ve been to take down, but as a criticism for d20. But I think the rat grinders being anticlimactic is kind of the point? They didn’t but the work in, they took shortcuts and so they’re not doing well. I personally find them getting their asses beat to be so satisfying. They picked a fight they can’t win so yeah half of them are already dead.
That’s the point.

i think i said this one before but i remember we used to go to church and one day on the way i just out of the blue asked the car "how do we know god is real? what if people just made him up" and the adults all got super mad at me and gave me generic answers like "we just know" and stuff and my ass was fucking CURIOUS so when church started i asked the Sunday School teacher and she was like "well the bible was written about him" or something like that and i was like "but someone wrote Curious George and hes not real, what if someone made him up too" and she was like irritated but was like "he's a talking monkey of course hes not real, children just like fun stories" or something like that and i don't remember exactly what i said but it was something very close to "but adults like stories too! how do you know he's not made up so because adults want to believe in something too?" and she got SUPER mad and i had to apologize in front of the church but i saw an opportunity so i was like "but no one answered me so i still dont know and i guess you guys don't either" and [everyone] got super mad and none of us could go to that church anymore
the adults were okay to go to church again but me and my siblings had sundays off from that point on and that was kind of a catalyst for the way my brother and sister perceived religion
