I just finished reading "a thousand boy kisses" by Tillie Cole and now i feel like my soul is shattered. The only book that made my cry from the first chapter to the very last one.

Okay, a little unrelated BUT

I just finished reading this book called 'A Thousand Boy Kisses' by the author Tillie Cole and MY GOD IT HURT. It's one of the most beautiful yet most tragic thing I've read in my life. Already added Poppy and Rune to my list of favorite couples😭

Please LET ME KNOW if anyone has read this book before, I desperately need someone to pour my emotions into. I cried literally throughout the 14 hours I read this.

Clace headcannons

Jace shows affection through words.

Every day he leaves clary small sticky notes around the institute for her to find

sometimes they are ridiculous. “you know, I never got a chance to show you my mango ;)”

sometimes they are extremely heart felt. “You are my light, my world, my reason for fighting. You, Clary, are extraordinary.”

He tells her he loves her before every mission. just in case.

And every night as they fall asleep. just so he can see her blush in the darkness.

And every morning when he wakes up, and watches her sleep, and whispers tender words to the rhythm of her breathing.

He always knows the right words, and speaks them so elegantly it leaves her speechless. Even after years of spontaneous declarations of love, Clary is still shocked every time, both by his words and how much love and affection she feels for him in those moments.

Clary shows affection through physical touch.

She holds his hand. Like all the time. Sometimes she clutches tight like her life depends on it, and sometime she just casually loops her pinky through his. She likes the contact, it keeps her anchored to the world.

Kisses. Kisses all the time. Soft tired kisses in the morning. Long, sweet kisses before missions. Fierce, desperate kisses after missions. Slow, deep kisses in the quiet of the night. Random kisses just for fun.

Clary would never admit it, but she’s a hugger. She wraps her arms around him from behind when he’s reading or playing the piano. It used to startle him, but he found comfort and reliance in those hugs.

Random, soft brushes of the arm. When they walk past each other down the halls of the institute, when they cross paths during battle, when they are too busy for other, longer forms of contact. Anything so that Clary can feel him and be reassured of his existence. That he’s not just a character she dreamed up. That he’s real and alive and with her. Jace also finds reassurance in these moments, because they remind him that’s she’s still there, that she’s never going to leave him.

Clary and Jace showing their love and affection for each other in different ways and being comfortable and confident in that. Jace doesn’t need bold declarations from Clary when her kisses speak better than words, and Clary relies on his words as reassurance of what they have. Just small, cute, domestic Clace and their love languages.
