This is a masterpost for the evacuation fundraisers I've vetted so far, a few other fundraisers I find trustworthy but have not been able to vet (inability to communicate with the organizer), and a few semi-completed fundraisers or fundraisers for a different purpose (like house rebuilding, or aid distribution). The numbers next to the names have no significance beyond ease of navigation for me for when I check their progress in the future. You should look at the disclaimers instead and focus on those. Occasionally I will update these with new info, including new fundraisers, and the amount of cash that's been raised. Check in regularly on the original post when you see it being reblogged. In all likelihood once its reached you it's already outdated. Also please don't overlook the Sustainable Aid options near the bottom! The brain drain is already creating problems but having another way of keeping or creating new knowledge and key members of a functioning society is important.

It may seem hopeless that it’s so far from their goal but that’s why it’s so important to SHARE THIS POST ‼️

Mariyam has 15 family members who have been displaced in Rafah for 7+ months and need money to pay for exit from Gaza. These are her aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones, one of them has a physical and mental disability, some of them are as young as 3 months or as old as 63.

I want you to know that this is not a scam and real genuine people who need help to survive. I went to high school with Mariyam and she’s an amazing person who does not deserve to have to fear for the safety of her family every day. Neither should they or anyone else fear for their own lives.

It feels like there’s not much I can do to increase the reach of this since a lot of platforms to boost fundraisers require campaigns to be led by the family themselves in order to authenticate them… all I can do is post on tumblr, even though I obviously do not have any type of following, I just know that tumblr makes it easy to reblog and share and I hope this happens.

Emu war: Australians decided there's too much emus and they need to decrease their numbers because they are destroying crops. Emus won. I mean they killed some emus, but not that many in the grand scheme of things and the emus continued doing what they wanted (eating crops).

Pig war: A conflict between the US and Great Britain caused by a pig. An American found a pig eating tubers on his land and he shot the pig. The Irishman who owned the pig was rightfully pissed. The American offered 10 dollars in compensation, and the Irish guy was like, no??? give me a 100 bucks. So the American was like, no fuck you, I'm not paying anything, your stupid pig was tresspassing onto my land, and the Irishman was like, no fuck YOU, your tubers were tresspassing onto my pig. So then British cops threatened to arrest the American guy, and then US military entered the picture, and it just escalated until the news reached DC and London (both were like wtf chill out its just a pig).
