Another FinalMouse review, though this one is the 2015 version. I should have mentioned in my large post that the FinalMouse 2016 does not add anything truly significant to the FinalMouse experience, but both products are still solid choices for gaming.
I would love any recommendations for future mice to check out and unbox.

This is a very, very handy unboxing and first thoughts video that a fan sent me in regards to the last post I had published. He did a great impressions video that I thought covered the mouse pretty well. If you had not already checked out my last post (it was a rather long one), do go ahead and do that. I go into things like the settings, the feel, and how I feel overall about it.

FinalMouse: Tournament Pro or Classic Ergo? - Review
Having a gaming mouse is key if you take gaming as seriously as you take other responsibilities. Sure, gaming is not necessarily something you should be taking more seriously than, say, your job or your family, but it still is an important part of many of our lives and some of us just happen to enjoy being good at it. In my opinion, it is completely necessary to have a decent mouse for gaming if you are to exert any actual effort into being good at video games.
With that being said, there are a variety of different mice available for purchase. You can have the more expensive ones, designed by elite companies and made for pro gamers (ie. the ones that go to tournaments to win prize money and such). You can also have a budget mouse, which tends to have just the basic features of an actual gaming mice; things like an ergonomic grip, additional programmable buttons, and a quick DPI sensitivity for fast movements.
So where does the FinalMouse fall? Which category?
I would answer that with “the middle of the road” category. It literally is not an expensive mouse nor is it a very cheap one. Expensive mice, the really high-end ones, go for around $100 or more on Amazon or other professional vendors. Budget mice, on the other hand, go for around $10 on eBay or on average of $20-$30 depending on which company manufactured it and where you are purchasing from. The FinalMouse falls in neither of those, as it currently retails for around $60 on Amazon.com.
What is the difference between the FinalMouse 2017 Tournament Pro and the Classic Ergo?
Those two are different sub-products of the same product line. It is simply a different iteration from Final Mouse (the company that made these) to comply with the tournament restrictions of some gaming leagues.
The only notable difference is that the Tournament Pro seems a slight bit heavier and the buttons are a tad clickier, if that makes sense. The perforated material on the side of the Classic Ergo mouse actually disappears in the Tournament Pro edition, most likely because some professional gamers practice without perforation in their mouse’s grip.
Other than those, the mouse is exactly the same. The sensitivity is almost identical (no real noticeable changes from one or the other) and the overall shape is identical.
What is good about the FinalMouse 2017?
For starters, this is one lightweight device. It does not feel cheap like other plastic mice, but it is super light on the hand. It tripped me up a little bit when I first gave it a try because I am used to mice with weights on them to keep them feeling a bit more solid. Others may feel the same kind of effect with the FM.
The quality itself is something I love. The materials do not bend at all and the plastic feels like it will serve for several years rather than break down through heavy gaming usage.
In the Classic Ergo edition, the perforation (see this image) on the left side where the thumb should go (for right-handed people) can be useful for some. For me, however, it just messes my gaming up just a slight bit because I tend to sweat in the holes and the mouse just gets slippery from that side. I know some colleagues that have used the mouse and experience the same thing, but I also know some people that are lovers of the grip. Your mileage may vary on this one.
Sensors
The sensors are the one best thing about the mouse if I absolutely had to choose just one. I feel like the quality is grade one on these. I did take apart the mouse just to see which kinds of sensors they had on there, but I will admit I have never seen these particular ones before. They do work well, so no complaints there. I just feel like the sensing while moving the mouse around is perfect regardless of which surface I am mousing around in. I can use the hardwood on my table or an actual gaming mouse pad and it would not change the feeling of the cursor moving in accordance to my physical hand movements.
Final thoughts
In general, I do enjoy this mouse. As mentioned above, the sensors are spot on regardless of gaming surface (though obviously you want a nice, solid, and flat surface rather than a bumpy one…) Also, the material quality is worth the price and I felt that Final Mouse truly put their all in creating this one.

The reason I am sharing this video with you lovely readers today is because I love to just look at old things from a few years back. It brings nostalgia and also reminds me that we are living in a world where time moves extremely fast. We have to remember the good times, and in this case, it is Elder Scrolls VI, which was Oblivion. It was probably the best PC game that ever came out that year. Still one of my favorites!

I have been enjoying G-Eazy’s latest album as of recently. I can’t praise it enough. It has just enough of the right sounds and the rapping is interesting. Just thought I would share this tidbit here.

I have been playing a lot of games from the Battlefield series lately, and have decided to share this video as it pertains to mouse sensitivity, which is a huge part in how well you actually perform in-game.
