… yeah. i’ll give you time to reflect on this… (oh and btw, ryan still talks about how he remembers so vividly how shane had died trying to save him in the snake dream…)
people are saying "finally" or "they took too long" .... i did NOT want a next day update. the fact that they waited a few days shows they made proper business decisions that included a lot of debating. if anything it builds my trust in this new direction rather than destroying it
thank god. okay, watcher community. that's it. no nitpicking and no buts. it is as best as we can get. they heard us, learned, apologized and reacted on the input.
that's it. case closed. we don't want to make them feel any more overwhelmed, or attacked. yes?
I'm with yall that what watcher is doing is stupid and a bad business decision, but saying "eat the rich" when it comes to them? like??? "eat the rich" means billionaires who exploit the lower class to become billionaires. It does not mean a few people making youtube videos and earning enough money to live in L.A
I watched Charlie MoistCritikal’s video on the Watcher drama and he definitely has some good insight considering he runs a company that helps creators get sponsorships, and finding out that with their subscriber & view counts they probably get $15,000-$30,000 per ad read was like the final nail in the coffin for me. So they make $100k a month on patreon + an ad read a week + ad revenue + merch sales? Maybe slow down on making new shows. Cultivate what you have. Maybe remaking worth it… isn’t worth it.
(Charlie’s video is good if you want some deeper insight into the creator economy)
