Margaery trailed off for a moment before stepping closer.
“This will sound odd. Given our positions. But I need to say it.”
“Lady Sansa has become dear to me. But she is surrounded
by…less then friends. You are one of the people closest to her.”
“Please be open with me. If Sansa wants for anything, or if
you fear for her in anyway, come to me. If someone hurts
her, come to me.”
“You and I know too well the feeling of being in a strange
place, uncertain who to trust, I think.”
Shae paused, allowing dark eyes to travel up to Margaey’s.
Being addressed by her first name was uncommon by many
other than Tyrion and Sansa. However, she would accept
it if it was the wish of her company.
Shae allowed many moments of silence to pass, glancing
casually up and down the corridor before lowering her voice
to answer. ❝I fear for her safety every moment she
remains in this place.❞

Certainly, he was in no mood for idle pleasantries and talk of
his sister and his imminent and quickly approaching death
only made it more sour.
Shae looked upon him with pain in the very core of her being.
He had hurt her and she had been asked to hurt him BACK.
Still, she was uncertain if she could bring herself to do it. This,
of course, is what brought her to his cell.
❝Who do you believe killed him?❞
She finally asked after moments of heavy silence.

know about their situation and the danger that was

Shae perked a brow at him with a knowing
smile that acknowledged his wit without
discounting the severity of their situation.

air would not allow you to sink.❞ She smirked, eyes
flickering to the corridor just as another servant
passed. ❝However your sister would sink under the
weight of her stone heart.❞

Margaery had seen her around often enough. Watching over Sansa, stolen words with Tyrion. There was an admiration for the woman from Volantis, as she had respect for all her kindred in other women
It so happened she spotted her running an errand and made her way to walk beside Shae.
“So why did you leave Volantis, if I may ask?” Improper? Possibly. Her handmaidens were already fussing as they tried to catch up with her. Margaery, however, had curiousity.
“I only ask because its so uncommon for me to see someone of Volantis,” she added, “But I thank you as well, for watching over Sweet Sansa as you do.”
Shae allowed her mind to wander as she made her way from the place where Sansa’s sheets would be laundered. It was not often that she let her guard down, but this was one of those rare times which would quickly become a regret at the sound of Margaery’s voice.
Shae gathered her thoughts before politely turning to face her. She gave a small, respectful curtsy before continuing her walk alongside her. Offering a smile, she answered vaguely. ❝It seems that I am incapable to remaining happy while being rooting in only one place.❞
Allowing Margaery to walk through a doorway before herself, she released a small laugh. ❝I adore Lady Sansa. She is kind to me.❞ One would often respond to questions with one of their own. However, this would be improper in her current situation.
