Why We’re Excited for New Bella Ramsey New Coming-Of-Age Film

Bella Ramsey stole our hearts last year in HBO’s sensational The Last of Us, and we’ve been excited to see where the young actor would go next. The latest news is that they will star in an upcoming coming-of-age film. This new Bella Ramsey-led film, Sunny Dancer, will tell a story about teenage cancer with a unique approach. It also stars Louis Partridge and Ruby Stokes, and it’s one to look out for. What The New Bella Ramsey Film Is All About Sunny Dancer will follow Bella Ramsey’s character, Ivy, a teenager in remission from cancer. Her parents encourage her to head to a summer camp where she will spend the season surrounded by other young adults who have been through similar medical journeys. Ivy dubs it “chemo camp” but can’t help but find some joy in the experience along the way. It is set to be a more uplifting approach to the often-told “teenage cancer story,” and we can’t wait to see it.  The film is directed by George Jacques, a 23-year-old breakout director known for his 2023 film Black Dog. The film will be produced by Ken Petrie under the 27 Ten banner, along with George Jacques and Athenaeum Productions. Embankment Films will be dealing with the global pre-sales. Why We’re Excited For The Coming-Of-Age Film Of course, we’re excited to see Bella Ramsey, who has done nothing but impress us so far with their diverse roles, which have also included Game of Thrones. Additionally, it’s exciting to see such a young director take on an exciting project with so many cast members who are sure to bring their A-game. The teenage cancer story is also often worth a watch. While some movies have done it very well and others very wrong, it’s a genre that certainly keeps us on our toes. My last favourite of the genre is Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, which came out in 2015, so we’re certainly overdue for a new movie that’s worth watching. Keep Your Eyes Out Sunny Dancer, the new Bella Ramsey film, is still in pre-production. So, we have a long wait before seeing anything on the big screen. If you want some adrenaline rush within an intricate plot, then this is just the movie for you! Some of the dialogues in the movie are powerfully patriotic. "Jis Kuran Ko Maine Padha Hai Usme Allah Ke Baad Desh Aata Hai Aur Mera Desh Hindustan Hai" meaning, “The Quran I have read gives priority to my country just after Allah, and my country is India!” You can feel the power and intensity of this dialogue just by reading it. There are some twists and turns in the 2-hour movie but they just don’t seem to make up for the foundering screenplay. Moreover, the eponymous music teacher and RAW-agent character of Ruslaan is very relatable and predictable. At the start of the movie itself, you will know that this guy is unstoppable and is here to prove his point. You will get a hint of the climax and will be able to visualize what’s going to happen after two hours. So, this can spoil the thrill to a certain extent. Actually, this heavy-duty action-hero character of Ruslaan was framed for a Bollywood actor who has star power as well as muscle power, for example, Salman Khan. But instead of Salman Khan, it’s his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma who takes the lead. Aayush Sharma is not a very popular actor in Bollywood. His movies rarely come out, the previous one being “Antim: The Final Truth (2021)” where he starred as the lead villain opposite Salman Khan and unfortunately, the movie became a Box-Office flop. I mean compare him to heavy-built macho men like Salman Khan and John Abraham. When you think about these guys, the image of Aayush Sharma will automatically shrink and disappear from your mind. The boy has built a good physique for his role no doubt, but he simply doesn’t stand on par with other action heroes in Bollywood in terms of ruggedness, machismo, or fame. Although he has tried his best to look rugged and fierce, I am sorry to say that no matter how hard he may try, he seems to be better off with romantic or comical roles. To be honest, Ruslaan received a pathetic opening from the audience and I guess, it’s because people are least interested in seeing Aayush Sharma as a Bollywood action hero. Surprisingly, it was not just Aayush’s performance but the performances of all other actors including Jagapathi Babu, Vidya Malvade, and Sushrii Shreya Mishraa seemed dreary. Downtown Owl Review: A Respectable Effort From Rabe And Linklater

Downtown Owl, the debut film from the duo Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater, ventures into the delicate balancing act of comedy and drama against the stark backdrop of a small North Dakota town. Based on the 2008 novel by Chuck Klosterman, the movie attempts to weave together the disparate lives of its characters in the lead-up to a life-altering blizzard. I don't know about anyone else, but watching Anne Hathaway return to the rom-com genre after so long has me head over heels excited! 2. Turtles All the Way Down OCD, relationships, and the disappearance of a billionaire? Turtles All The Way Down, the adaptation of John Green’s bestseller of the same name, is a romantic drama that’s going to turn your summer around on May 2nd. The acclaimed writer has never disappointed us when it comes to unconventional stories. With his previous adaptations like Paper Towns and Looking For Alaska, our expectations from this movie are sky-high. 3. The Fall Guy Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt team up for a hilarious action flick! Gosling plays a washed-up stuntman who gets entangled in a dangerous mystery. Expect witty banter, high-octane stunts, and undeniable chemistry between the leads.Barbenheimer competitors Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt are coming to the silver screens with a hilarious and action-packed feature. The Fall Guy revolves around an ex-stuntman, who’s face-to-face with a mystery more dangerous than any act he’s pulled before. The action genre seems most fitting for both the actors to be in after delivering epic comedic and serious performances. We hope it's not one of those big-budget commercial movies with an unimpressive plot and nothing more interesting than the cast. 4. Unfrosted A delicious summer staple has a history that sent pots and pans flying at respective contenders. Unfrosted, coming on May 3rd, shows two infamous cereal titans competing for the top spot on the breakfast shelves. Not to sound biased but will be refreshing to see Hugh Grant in a  comedic role which is what I look forward to the most in this movie. 5. Inside Out 2 The animated emotions are expanding and in Inside Out 2, Anxiety takes center stage. June 14th will be the day when anxiety will need to be dealt with. To save the day, we have Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust who will control the mess before everything comes crashing down. After the well-received first movie, the second is all we could've asked for. With animated movies, it's always a joy to get to watch the same old lovable characters once again brightening up the screens. 6. Despicable Me 4 While Gru is busy polishing his fathering skills on the pint-sized but equally tormenting addition to the family, the vengeful Maxime Le Mal is back. Gru and his minions must juggle fatherhood and crime fighting to bring peace again. I will never give up watching these movies. The fun, the wit, and the humor invite all kinds of cinephiles to get entertained by the adorable little yellow dudes we all love. Watch it on July 3rd! 7. Deadpool and Wolverine Loudmouth meets reclusive in the hilarious and action-brimmed feature, Deadpool and Wolverine. The unlikely duo needs to stick together if they want to come out on the other side. High Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are the duo we never knew we needed and they're back. I hope and pray this one turns some heads.  July 26th can’t come fast enough. 8. Kingdom of Planets of Apes Caesar has been ruling over the ape realm for years, but what happens when he comes across a secret that topples everything he has known? May 8th will be the day when this young ape needs to make some decisions. This movie has some serious hype around and with all the budget and expectations, it is only fair it gets to make our summers better. 9. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga The prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) shows how Furiosa went from a happy-go-lucky child to a lethal weapon. Driving the War Rig in the Citadel, all the while trying to go back to the Green Place, it is truly one of the most awaited movies of 2024. Anya-Taylor Joy looks unreal in the trailers and all that's there now is the wait until May24. 10. The Watchers What’s scarier? Being stranded in a forest with strangers or being stalked and hunted by mysterious nocturnal creatures? The Watchers, releasing on June 14th, starring Dakota Fanning, Georgina Campbell, and others, will make you run in the opposite direction at the sheer mention of the word “forest”. Horror movies are already dominant in the cinema right now but in all honesty, this movie has been lingering in my mind for quite some time. The visual choices show directorial sensitivity but would have been better with a tighter script and coherent narrative vision. Performance-wise, Jay Baruchel delivers a commendably restrained portrayal of Jared, a man teetering on the edge of despair and resolve. However, the script doesn't provide sufficient depth to fully leverage Baruchel’s capabilities, rendering Jared's emotional journey somewhat superficial. It manages to evoke a sense of impending doom and atmospheric tension that the narrative itself struggles to sustain. These elements are effective, but cannot save the film's broader issues. Harry Potter to Return With New Audiobook Release

Despite over a decade since the Harry Potter franchise wrapped up, The Wizarding World is far from gone. In the latest magical news, a new Harry Potter audiobook series is coming, and it’s set to be something huge. The production will see Audible and Pottermore Publishing team up to create exclusive audiobooks of all seven J.K. Rowling novels. Let’s talk about what we know so far. A New Harry Potter Audiobook Series Is Coming The goal of the new Harry Potter audiobook series is to bring the “iconic stories to life as never heard before.” It will do this by providing immersive audio entertainment with a score, new character voices and other real-world sound capture. They will tell the original Harry Potter stories and will not be involved with the new Wizarding World series from Warner Bros. The audiobooks will feature over 100 voice actors, which is quite an impressive feat. It would be incredible to see some original actors return to voice their iconic roles, but no casting news has been made yet. This isn’t the first Harry Potter tale to come to Audible. Their current collection is already worth a listen and includes the following: The Tales of Beedle the Bard, performed by Jude Law Harry Potter: A History of Magic, performed by Natalie Dormer Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, performed by Eddie Redmayne Quidditch Through the Ages, Performed by Andrew Lincoln Why We’ll Be Listening The series was initially released as audiobooks performed by Stephen Fry and Jim Dale, beginning in 1999. They were a staple in homes worldwide and have earned even more listens since launching on Audible in 2015. These audiobooks had quite the charm, and I still associate the books with Fry’s narration occasionally. However, an innovative release with dozens of voice actors is something that I won’t want to miss. The emphasis on the score also indicates that this will have tip-top production value, which isn’t a surprise given how much attention is still given to the franchise. I try to reread the Harry Potter books at least once every few years, and given the exciting news, I can say with certainty that my next read-through might be a listen-through instead. There is no official release date for the new Harry Potter audiobook series, but it is set to premiere sometime in late 2025. Why We’re Excited for New Bella Ramsey New Coming-Of-Age Film

Bella Ramsey stole our hearts last year in HBO’s sensational The Last of Us, and we’ve been excited to see where the young actor would go next. The latest news is that they will star in an upcoming coming-of-age film. This new Bella Ramsey-led film, Sunny Dancer, will tell a story about teenage cancer with a unique approach. It also stars Louis Partridge and Ruby Stokes, and it’s one to look out for. What The New Bella Ramsey Film Is All About Sunny Dancer will follow Bella Ramsey’s character, Ivy, a teenager in remission from cancer. Her parents encourage her to head to a summer camp where she will spend the season surrounded by other young adults who have been through similar medical journeys. Ivy dubs it “chemo camp” but can’t help but find some joy in the experience along the way. It is set to be a more uplifting approach to the often-told “teenage cancer story,” and we can’t wait to see it.  The film is directed by George Jacques, a 23-year-old breakout director known for his 2023 film Black Dog. The film will be produced by Ken Petrie under the 27 Ten banner, along with George Jacques and Athenaeum Productions. Embankment Films will be dealing with the global pre-sales. Why We’re Excited For The Coming-Of-Age Film Of course, we’re excited to see Bella Ramsey, who has done nothing but impress us so far with their diverse roles, which have also included Game of Thrones. Additionally, it’s exciting to see such a young director take on an exciting project with so many cast members who are sure to bring their A-game. The teenage cancer story is also often worth a watch. While some movies have done it very well and others very wrong, it’s a genre that certainly keeps us on our toes. My last favourite of the genre is Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, which came out in 2015, so we’re certainly overdue for a new movie that’s worth watching. Keep Your Eyes Out Sunny Dancer, the new Bella Ramsey film, is still in pre-production. So, we have a long wait before seeing anything on the big screen. I recently had the chance to chat with Deborah Ayorinde and Luke James, stars of the Prime Video horror anthology series, to discuss the audience's reaction to the show's unflinching portrayal of race and social issues. Deborah, who returns for season two, shared that her peers respected the show's artistry while acknowledging its difficulty. "They felt like it was very necessary, though it was definitely hard to watch for some people," she said. Both Deborah and Luke believe season two will offer a deeper understanding of the show's core themes. "I think season two will kind of bring a lot of things full circle," Deborah explained. "I think it will make people who maybe didn't understand why we had to go there for season one, I think it will make them kind of understand it in season two."
