Help if you can!
Hello all,
I don't usually do this whole 'ask for money from strangers' thing, but this is for a fantastic cause and so I'll make an exception.
A friend of mine has an awesome idea that will help animals and people in their community in many different ways, and they're trying to gather working capital to get it off the ground.
If you like cats and inclusive businesses, consider helping! Any little bit is deeply appreciated.
If you aren't interested in or able to give that's 100% understandable! If you would consider reblogging to spread the word, that would be awesome as well.
Thank you!!

Totally forgot that AO3 was rolling out blocking until I revisited an old pson fic and saw I was blocked 🤣. I haven't written, posted, commented or otherwise engaged with that fandom (or any fandom really) or anyone in it for MONTHS and somehow I'm still forefront in people's minds. lmfao. love that for me.

It's been months and months.
I've 'moved on'. I'm not 'in' the fandom anymore. I'm barely on this hellsite anymore, period. Those days feel like another lifetime. I feel like a different person.
But every so often I still fucking miss it. So much.
And I miss him. Them. I miss my muses. My babies. The thrill. The community.
But it all went to shit. In so many different ways. And now I'm just.
Drifting. Surviving. Going about my life. Without any sort of creative outlet, without any sort of escape.
god. I miss it.

Hi everyone,
just a FYI we changed our URL back to the official whumptober without year added. This way our links will not expire/change each year and you'll have an easier time finding us.
Furthermore the URLs whumptober2022 and whumptober-2022 were taken already. So if you see posts from blogs with that URL - It's NOT us.
Thank you all and we're looking forward to this year's whumptober 😊

I hate the property management company that owns the building where I live, and I can't wait to tell everyone in my town how shitty they are after I move out.

50 women who changed the course of rock'n'roll forever (by Metal Hammer)
Nightwish
Tarja Turunen, Anette Olzon and Floor Jansen have each fronted the biggest and most successful symphonic metal band in history. Racking up over two decades of destruction, it’s a testament to the ability and ambition of these three women that Nightwish have gone from Scandinavian curio to a bona fide festival headliner.
Shirley Manson
It’s easy to forget how futuristic Garbage sounded when their debut album exploded. Butch Vig’s shiny production may have excited the audiophiles, but the real action was taking place out front: Shirley Manson was unconventional, tough and sexy, and the owner of an almost other-worldly brand of charisma.
Skin
Shaven-headed, bisexual, black: Skunk Anansie’s lead singer Skin didn’t so much break down barriers as kick them into submission. With a voice like an air-raid siren, she’s an utterly compelling live performer. And without Skin, 90s Brit-rock would have been a greyer, dustier, overwhelmingly less interesting proposition.
Amy Lee
In 2003, Evanescence skyrocketed into the sun to become one of the hottest bands on the planet, thanks in no small part to the power and emotion of frontwoman Amy Lee. Her operatic prowess and soaring vocals set the five-piece apart from their peers, sending them into arenas across the globe. Debut album Fallen has now sold over 17 million copies.
Lzzy Hale
A literal force of nature as much as a genuine force for good, Halestorm singer and guitarist Lzzy Hale is a role model for young women, a vocal advocate for mental health, and a writer of inclusive, crowd-delighting anthems. With a god-given voice and an unquestionable commitment to her craft, she’s able to make Halestorm’s songs great while her contributions to other people’s songs make them greater. Very much the archetypal modern rock star, she’s not a bad live performer, either.
Doro
Formerly the lead vocalist for Warlock, Doro Pesch has been redefining what it means to be a woman in heavy metal for the past 30 years. With 12 studio albums under her belt, Doro has never compromised her art or integrity, always standing with one fist firmly in the air and another punching gender-boundaries in the face.
Larissa Stupar
One of the most exciting bands in the UK right now are the death metal powerhouse Venom Prison. Fronted by Larissa Stupar, they defy genre stereotypes with songs about force-feeding rapists their own genitals, and absolutely crush live. Born in the European hardcore scene, Larissa is as real as it gets, and genuinely terrifying onstage.
Arch Enemy
For 14 years, Angela Gossow led Swedish wrecking crew Arch Enemy into battle, turning conventions of female vocalists on their head with her savage growls and roars. Now, Alissa White-Gluz is at the helm, picking up Angela’s mantle and flying the flag for female metal vocalists everywhere, as the well-oiled death metal machine continues to crush arenas around the world.
Sharon den Adel
The arena-levelling symphonic goths Within Temptation aren’t just one of the most successful bands from the Netherlands, they’ve sold millions of albums around the world. Vocalist, songwriter and founding member Sharon den Adel can be thanked for this, with her vast vocal range and enigmatic stage presence. She’s also exercising her poptastic muscle with solo project My Indigo, whose debut album arrived in 2018.

Nightwish is such a good band because sometimes it’s like “I am depressed and absolutely paralyzed with fear and anguish about my own aging and I long for the lost passion and freedom of my youth” and sometimes it’s like “life is the most precious gift and we shouldn’t waste a second of it because even in the absolute depths of despair our common humanity binds us all together in an unbroken chain stretching back to the beginning of time” and sometimes it’s like “I fucking LOVE Donald Duck”

I would very much like to see said conversation...
@themerrywhumpofmay day 2: Eye Contact
TW: rich people doing rich people things.
Notes: Just a little drabble. This will not make any sense out of context, so if you’re not following along with the story at least partly, well. Still read it, because I want you to so badly. But like, it’s gonna be a rough follow. Takes place a few weeks before Bring Me the Collar, or approximately 7 months in.

✥ ✥ ✥
Leo sits silently at the large table, his shirt collar constricting his neck just on the edge of uncomfortably. Next to him, Luke talks enthusiastically with another senator.
It’s all wealthy people at this event. It’s black tie exclusive, Leo’s first time feeling so put together since his time with West. Luke hadn’t pressured him to come, but he had made it clear there was an open invitation. In a moment of, perhaps unearned, confidence, Leo had agreed.
Now, he sits quietly, watching Luke talk business. Leo has done well tonight, he thinks. He’s earned a break from conversations with strangers, from warm smiles and handshakes. He takes a slow bite off of his plate, feeling oddly anxious. Luke is right next to him, but feels so far away.
