WEEK 16 - Round 2 of Playoffs

MALIK MY BALLS vs LONG LEFT BALLERS

Ok. Of Course I am thankful to be in the playoffs. But man what a stressful weekend. With games on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Christmas Day) it was a very long weekend of watching my team and Bebo's team very closely. Bebo would have bad games from Kamara and Higbee and then good games from CeeDee Lamb and Devonte Smith. I would have a poor showing from Mixon and Hopkins and then a great night from Allen and a great day from Evans. When it came down Christmas night - Bebo had a 9 point lead and I was left with Aiyuk and Justin Tucker left to play. Just before half time, thanks to many Tucker field goals, I secured the win!!!! Tucker ended up putting up 16 points when it was all said and done. Bebo, it was fun and you had an amazing season...but I am thrilled to be going on to the championship game! Now, a gift to all of you that hated on me for drafting Tucker in the 9th round (for who without I would not have won)...here is some Justin Tucker Opera for your enjoyment.

HOWARD vs LANAKILA

This one was another crazy one to watch. If you look at the graph of the match up - Howard led from minute one...and had great games from Stafford, Kyren Williams, St Brown, Swift and the Browns Defense...in the end putting up 115 points. Going into Monday night...he had close to an 18 point lead and Cliff left with just Kittle left to play. In the first series for the 49ers Kittle gained 71 yards and before half time he had 91. So, as I was watching I knew that 9 more yards means he is up to 15 points with the 100 yard bonus. Purdy threw many interceptions but by the end of the third quarter - Kittle had reached 111 yards and was just 2 points from taking the lead from Howard. With just 6 minutes left Cliff closed it to 1.23 points...and even though San Francisco was down 33-19...they kept Kittle in the line up. With 3 minutes left Cliff shaved it down to just .23 points...but Kittle never got 1 more catch and so Cliff comes up just shy of a repeat championship game. These two have had very close numbers all year....and this game was no exception. Congrats to Rob Howard who will play for his 4th Championship.

WEEK 15 - Wrap Up

PLAYOFF EDITION - Down to 4!

Well, here we are down to 4. It was a very dramatic week for the four that were playing: Gabe, Rob, Dana and myself.

Let's start out with my match up with Gabe since it's fresh on my mind. Was I thrilled that he played Josh Jacobs on Thursday night when he was inactive - yes. Did I know Gabe was out on tour and probably distracted - yes. Did I care - no. Bottom line for this week - I got very lucky. I failed to play LaPorta (a Lion when facing a Lion's fan) in place of playing Hopkins - I assumed that Hopkins, would go off against his old team (Texans)...he did not. My biggest blessing was Dak Prescott not having a good game at all and putting up 6 points for Gabe. In the end, I won with a very low score and had horrible performances from Aiyuk, Hopkins and Kelce. Gabe thank you for allowing me to move on to the next round!

Next we look at Howard vs Funk Guy. Howard had a great week...nothing to complain about - just normal championship play out of him. Dana on the other hand struggled. He had picked up the Raiders Defense but was then spooked by the Thursday night play and dropped them last minute proving to be a bit mistake as they went on to put up 27 fantasy points. Then he didn't play Goff who had 41 points in hopes that Hurts would be the guy for him...but going into MNF he remains questionable due to illness, ended up playing but had too much ground to make up. Add in 1 point from Najee, 3 points from Barkley, less than a point from Flowers and well...it wasn't meant to be. Dana is out and Howard moves on.

WEEK 14 - Wrap Up

THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!

If you watch ALONE on the History Channel /Netflix- then you know. No need for a video...only 6 people remain. All I am here to do tonight - through this wrap up - is tell you who those 6 people are and why they are in the playoffs. How they won or who lost this week...doesn't matter. All that matters is that these 6 move on and play next week.

Let's start with the divison that had a clear cut #1 winner... ODD DIVISION.

BEBO NORMAN - Long Left Ballers (BYE WEEK)

DAVID BREEN - Malik My Balls

GABE SCOTT - Mr Awesome (WILD CARD WINNER)

Bebo has had a hell of a year! He did lose this week to Stu Jones, but it was basically a week that had no consequences for him either way. Bebo ends up 12-2 and will be off next week as I take on Gabe Scott. Gabe is our wild card winner putting up the most points from the remaining 4 players in the division. He just happened to be up against Tree Huggers this week who were both in the hunt. Gabe just had a 35 point lead which did help him out quite a bit. I love this outcome. It's great to see a guy that went 6-8 makes the playoffs! Congrats Gabe! See you next week!

CLIFF YOUNG - Lanakila (BYE WEEK)

DANA CAPPILLINO - Funk Guy (WILD CARD WINNER)

It was a battle for the 1st place in the Even Division. Cliff and Rob both tied record wise and just 8 points apart when the week started. Rob already took care of his win - taking down the Moose who only put up 54 points in a very important week...(sad performance). So, Cliff had to win and score more than 107.64 points to grab the bye week. He got the win and crazy as this is - he scored exactly 107.64 points - so both Howard and Lanakila have 9-6 records and both have total yearly points of 1505.68. So, I had to go back to last weeks game and see who outscored who...and Cliff outscored Howard 124.70 to 124.16...so Cliff gets the bye. (Cliff also outscored Rob this week). WOW...crazy ending for that divison. On to the wild card slot. Dana, who was neck and neck with Mitch for the wild card slot - had a good week and put up over 100 points and secured his position in the playoffs. Congrats Dana - way to stick with it and focusing on the points not the wins!

WEEK 13 - Wrap Up

ONE MORE WEEK!

Yes. One more week. Gotta love creepy Creed. This is when it starts to get sad and exciting at the same time. Sad because we must say goodbye to those that each week give us wins and make us feel good. Exciting because after next week we will be a league of 6 - and ultimately working our way down to our Champion of the year. Things are still up in the air...with the exception on 1 thing we know for sure...Bebo Norman is going to grab 1st place in the "ODD" Division as he leaves this week 12-1 and no one can catch up to that. Congrats Bebo on the bye week in week 15.

MALIK MY BALLS vs BOOMER SOONER

Oh wait...something else is for sure...with the win tonight and Scott Krippayne's loss I secure 2nd place in the Odd Division...no one can catch my 10-3 record by winning next week...so I guess there is no need to go into a whole wrap up of how I won....I will play against the player with the most points after next week - between Scott, Gabe, Stu and Kyle.

FUNK GUY vs TuPADRE

Oh, how bitter sweet for Gullahorn. He has a great week...the best week actually...beating Dana Cappillino and grabbing the high point win with 133 points ($20)....but it's too late, he can't make the playoffs...and for Dana - he just need points as it's fairly close (points wise) between Cliff, Mitch and Dana...but he failed to reach 100 points this week. It's going to come down to week 14 for many in the Event division - especially Dana. Congrats Gully. I guess it's nice to get some of your money back! Sending now!

BACKDOOR BANDITS vs TREE HUGGERS

Love this. Kyle who has struggled all year - has a great week 13....too late for him (just like Gully), but he takes down Scott helping me lock in a playoff spot. Thanks bro in law! Scott...don't worry - you just caught too many bye weeks. Just make sure you put up a shit ton of points next week so I can see you in the post season. Nice win Kyle!

LONG LEFT BALLERS vs MR AWESOME

It's constant winning. Every week. Bebo wins again. I really don't want to give it any space on this blog. He's the best. He only lost once. Is this his year....blah blah blah. You got your bye week...let's see if your luck lasts into weeks 16 and 17. Sorry Gabe. Bebo is rude.

HOWARD vs TRADE WITH ME

This was actually a very important game...well, for Howard it was...if he wins he hangs in the battle for 1st place - tied with Cliff Young. If he loses he goes down a game and has the Moose on his heels. Going into the night Trade with Me has a 10 point lead and Calvin Ridley still to play. Howard obviously, down 10 with Jamaar Chase, Evan Engram and the kicker for the Bengals McPherson. Predictor said Howard wins by 2...but as the night went on Howard pulled away and did what he needed to do to win. Congrats! Good luck next week.

MOOSES ON THE LOOSES vs LANAKILA

You know as I was writing this I just took for granted that Lanakila had this won. Then I looked and saw that Mitch had Christian Kirk left to play going into MNF. Down just 18.52 and a Wide Receiver left anything is possible right? Well, who's kidding who. Kirk went out after he made his first catch and fell on his balls. The Moose is dying. He lost - he moves to 6-7 which means he is going to be in the points battle....basically against Funk Guy. Should make for an exciting last week! Nice win Cliff. You did it...you guaranteed a playoff spot but will it be with a Bye week or facing Dana or Mitch in week 15.

WEEK 12 - Wrap Up

Last Two Weeks....Fuck it.

Here we are...sad as it is...we have reached the last two weeks of the regular season. Some of you are focused on trying to make the playoffs...and some of you, like in the video are saying "fuck it". Here's what I am seeing...in the "Even division" it's still a close race. Howard and Lanakila tied at 7-5 and Moose hanging around at 6-6. Anything can happen as they all fight for the bye week. In the odd division...it's looking like Bebo will get the bye week. He is at 11-1 and I am sitting behind him at 9-3. There is a chance he could lose the next two and I could win the next two but doubtful. It's still a close race between me and Scott for that number 2 spot...and if I slip to 3rd...I do have the points going for me...so Stu, Scott and Gabe - will battle out for the points winner if I keep the 2nd spot. Two more weeks...so everyone but Kyle and Gully - make the most of it!

MALIK MY BALLS vs TREE HUGGERS

Hi! I am a winner! I beat Scott. He's a nice guy...but he has already won this thing and needs to back off! Great week. No high point but who can complain with a solid win. Special thanks to Josh Allen for looking like trash but having an amazing night. Also a special thanks to CMC for only putting up 30 points for Krippayne. It could have been a lot worse. Thanks Scott for a fun week!

TuPADRE vs LANAKILA

Speaking of high point. Cliff took it this week by putting up monster numbers 141.12 to be exact. Gully had a decent week but was matched up against the wrong guy at the wrong time. How did Cliff do it? 24 from Mahomes, 21 from Taylor, 20 from Pacheco, 15 from Pittman, 16 from Olave and 24 from Robinson. Crazy good team. Nice win Cliff. Gully & Son, not sure what to say...it's a cruel cruel world.

MR AWESOME vs BOOMER SOONER

Yeah. It's happening. Stu has lost 2 in a row and Gabe has won 2 in a row. The tides are shifting. The great are becoming horrible and the horrible are becoming great. I am so happy for Gabe. He works so hard at this Fantasy Football thing...he puts in the hours and has a dedication to the league that we rarely see anymore. Stu, probably doesn't know it's Monday night or remember to check his line up...he coasts through the season taking what comes to him...and personally, I think he is getting what he deserves. Also, he removes himself from the group chats and will never read this so...Gabe - you are the best! Congrats!

LONG LEFT BALLERS vs BACKDOOR BANDITS

Again. What the heck is going on. Is Bebo real? I haven't seen anything like this in some time. Kyle, it is what it is...but Bebo can not be beaten. Next week he faces Gabe...does Gabe Scott have what it takes? I am not going to say anything more...it's just redonk!

FUNK GUY vs HOWARD

Funk Guy rocked out this week...once again putting up killer numbers and very close to a high point win. This one did come down to Monday Night - as all of Dana's matches do...Howard was down 15.54 points with Mattison still to play. I checked the numbers...1 week this season Mattison came close to scoring that many points - that was in week 9 with 15.30 points...and I just don't think he is going to have another week like that - so I am calling it for Dana...early on a Monday. Congrats Dana...points = playoffs!

TRADE WITH ME vs MOOSES ON THE LOOSES

Silly Mitch. He's still trying. I am sure as he prepped for the week he thought..."oh good, I am playing Trade with Me....that will be an easy win". Not so fast antler boy...Brett Rutledge is highly competitive and does not quit. Ever! Plus he knows how important it is that you not be in the playoffs this year. So, he took you out. That is unless you got 36.53 points from Josh Dobbs tonight? Let me check....NOPE. Nice win Brett! Mitch moves to 6-6.

WEEK 11 - Wrap Up

I know I post this almost every season. But, there's nothing better when it comes to football speeches...and the bottom line is we are at that point in the season. It's time gentlemen to start fighting for those inches. 3 more weeks till Playoffs! Will you be there?

MALIK MY BALLS vs TuPADRE

I am still in shock and disbelief. I think it's a bit like looking at the scores on Sunday and seeing the Patriots week after week. You just grow so use to the Patriots being great that you can't imagine them being bad. So it is with Andy Gullahorn. For years and years he was a tough match up. Someone to fear on the schedule...but now - the guy puts up under 80 points. Am I thankful? Yes. Of course I am. But, man it's hard to watch a dynasty like Andy Gullahorn / a fierce competitor at heart....fall into obscurity. Nice win Me! Nice F'ing Win!

MOOSES ON THE LOOSES vs TREE HUGGERS

Moose right now (Above GIF). He's dropped 2 in a row. Everything is working out...he's now 6-5. Can we get him to 6-6? Please Brett - Please stay focused next week and make this happen. Scott, what can I say about Scott. What a great week he has had. Survivor Champ....moves to 8-3 and if that wasn't enough he took the high point. There he is!!!! There's Brett Rutledge. Week 11 and puts up 127.68 points! Amazing. And, he took down Stu Jones who was on a 3 game winning streak and looking like he was going to coast into the playoffs. Stu had a huge week from Purdy and a decent day from the 49ers D but it couldn't compare to what Brett had going with Love, Cook, Ridley, Gibbs and anytime someone puts up 17 from their kicker it's going to be a good week. Keep it up Brett. I believe. The Moose is next!

LANAKILA vs BACKDOOR BANDITS

Kyle has got to be in tears tonight, knowing that after 6 losses in a row - he finally grabbed a win. He also finally put up over 100 points...108 to be exact. Cliff saved most of his players for Monday night. His ring leader - Pat Mahomes, his trusty Running Back Pacheco and the Eagles kicker Jake Elliott.... Cliff would need 75 points out of these three to steal the win away from Kyle and I know Patrick Mahomes is good but I just don't see this happening - so I am in an early draft of the wrap up...giving this one to Kyle! Congrats! Enjoy the win!

Will Bebo ever lose again? This is crazy! Crazy I say! I don't even know what to write anymore. He is really really good. I am officially scared. That's all. Nothing about Rob either. Doesn't matter.

Well, here we go...once again it's a monday night and once again Dana is in the hunt for a win. Gabe seems to have it all wrapped up - with all his player finished and 101.86 locked in. Dana has 78.70 and Jalen Hurts left to play. So Dana needs 23.17 from Hurts to grab his 3rd win in a row. The first half Hurts did absolutely nothing but by the 2nd half....he had it going on. Dana came close but in the end...it wasn't enough. Gabe wins in another close one! Congrats Gabe.

WEEK 10 - Wrap Up

Don't Give Up!

Listen, I am not going to rehash what happened last week in detail, but I was down 26 points with just my defense to play and I didn't give up. I stayed focused and kept on believing and boom...I won the game and the high point. This video is just a reminder that the game is never over - you always have a chance...so you have to keep believing. Especially in this league when points alone can get you into the playoffs. Only 4 more weeks left in the regular season...stay focused!

MR AWESOME vs HOWARD

And just like that...Howard bounces back and grabs a much needed win after the tragedy that happened to him last week. Another week with solid numbers from his core players like St. Brown, Chase, Walker and Burrow. Gabe on the other hand...might have had too many of his stars on bye weeks this week. After beating Cliff Young last week..Gabe takes another step back and another loss. Gabe, my opening paragraph was for you...keep going...you never know what can happen in these final weeks! Nice win Rob.

LONG LEFT BALLERS vs LANAKILA

Wait...What just happened? I know Bebo is good this year but this is starting to get crazy. I checked in this match up after the first games on Sunday and Cliff was up by like 40-50 points....and then when I checked in later that night - Bebo had Ceedee and Keenan throw up about 70 points and just like that Cliff loses for a second week in a row and Bebo moves to 9 and 1. The only game Bebo has lost was in Week 5 against Krippayne where he lost by 1.8 points...otherwise - he's been perfect. Sorry Cliff you had an amazing week but we may just be looking at something that we can not control - something other world like. Scary stuff happening here folks! Congrats to Bebo!

BACKDOOR BANDITS vs TRADE WITH ME

We all know Trump only like "winning" - and winning bigly, but this was a match up of two guys with 1-8 and 2-7 records...so someone by the end of the week is going to be named "the biggest loser" and that is going to Kyle! Kyle, has had a rough go and lately that has included weekly low numbers from players like Lamar Jackson, well, honestly from everyone...let's not take the time to list them all. Brett, had a huge week from Ekeler and Gibbs and that's all he needed to grab another win. Congrats Brett...my prayer is that this win brings you a bit of hope and joy as you continue in this league!

BOOMER SOONER vs MOOSES ON THE LOOSES

There you go! Stu takes down the Moose! If we all stay focused like Stu was this week we can take the Moose down and not have to face him in the playoffs....and this week it came down to Monday Night with Stu down 6 but having Murray and Diggs left to play. With already having great games from Purdy, Hockenson and 49ers Defense...it was an easy win for Stu. This loss brings the Moose to 6-4 and his obvious week spots on his team are Pollard, Aaron Jones and Meredith Andrews...as Meredith is only doing worship now and it restricts her appeal in the market. Nice win Stu and congrats on the high point win!!! - Let's stay focused everyone - we can get him to 6-8...I BELIEVE.

TREE HUGGERS vs TuPADRE

Well, this one went into monday night as well. With Gully having a 13 point lead and only kicker Tyler Bass to play he was desperate to "squeeze" out a win. But he was up against Krippayne who still had running back Javonte Williams and the mighty Bills Defense. Well, if anyone watched this game - they know. The Bills were not in scoring position too often and never got in field goal mode....just a couple extra points. Also, Williams had a great night and gave Scott the early win. Sorry Gully...tough season...tough loss. Scott...you are back!

MALIK MY BALLS vs FUNK GUY

Well, here we are again. It's Monday night...I am down 24.63 points and all i have left to play is Josh Allen. This is totally my fault because I played the Chargers Defense against the Rams...and they put up 0 points. ZERO. I have never seen that...not one sack, not one fumble recovery or interception...didn't hold them under 30 points or under 300 yards...so now I need a Monday Night Miracle again. Dana had a great week from Dallas Defense, Najee put up 15, Goff had 25 and Foreman had 15....oh and he had Sutton playing on Monday night as well...So, as you can imagine...I did the best I could but two weeks in a row to come from a huge deficit is a lot to ask and Josh Allen was obviously "pro-dana" as he shit the bed in the first half. I'm calling it...Dana Wins. David Loses. Congrats Dana way to punish me for stealing those High Points from you.

WEEK 9 - Wrap Up

Do You Know Who You Are?

Being a champion in fantasy football is not an easy thing to achieve. I should know - I'm decades into this game with no name etched into the side of the trophy. Bottom line is to win this thing, I believe you have to know who you are. You have to know your name and where you went to college. Thanks to Key and Peele for being the best at sharing their football names!

LANAKILA vs MR AWESOME

Gotta love Gabe's excitement when he grabs a win. Today at Ladybird Taco these signs filled the restaurant - reminding Cliff and everyone in the restaurant that Cliff lost / Gabe won. Gabe had a huge day from Dak Prescott with 34 and Josh Jacobs with 21. For Cliff - he just had his star players like Tyreek and Mahomes held under 20 each and when that happens - you tend to lose. Nice win Gabe. I think you should keep these signs in permanent rotation!!

TRADE WITH ME vs LONG LEFT BALLERS

And the winning continues for Bebo Norman. Now 8-1. Wow! 8 Wins in week 9. I am very jealous. Whats the secret? This week it was 1/2 his team being awesome and 1/2 his team doing nothing at all. Result = Victory. Also, it did help that he was matched up against Brett Rutledge who is now on a 4 game losing streak. I want to say that Brett just had too many players on bye this week but really I just think he needs to start trading with people and build his team to be a bit better. (Commish advice for free). Congrats Bebo...next week you face Cliff Young who will be looking to rebound from his loss this week. Get ready.

MOOSES ON THE LOOSES vs BACKDOOR BANDITS

Moose won. He was playing against Kyle who I thought understood the directive that was given to all of you. I will repeat it again here. The Moose must not win! At any cost...he must not win. We do not want him in the playoffs. We do not need him involved in the final weeks. In Kyle's defense, he did have the most unfortunate of situations. He had Lamar Jackson on a team that scored 37 points in the game yet - Lamar had only 11 fantasy points. No TDs...None, in the whole entire game. He also had 6 of his 9 players in single digits. Mitch - you did it - you won another one congrats. Cherish it. Savor it...it will not continue.

FUNK GUY vs TREE HUGGERS

What is happening to Scott Krippayne? It's one thing to have 3 losses in a row but to only put up 64 points after the start he had? It's scary. He did have CMC and Javonte Williams on bye weeks but man....crazy. Now for Dana - matching up against Scott with no CMC was a dream come true. Still he kept his head down and focused on his own game...putting up 121 points a candidate once again for hight point of the week. That is unless someone has an amazing MNF experience and takes it away from him...someone like me? Nice win Dana sorry you lose the $20.

TuPADRE vs BOOMER SOONER

Now we are entering the MNF games. First up - Gully vs Stu. Both of these guys wanting to move their 1 win streak in the 2 in a row category. Starting the night Gully was done with 89.32 points. Stu...started the night with 82.10 and had Justin Herbert and Garrett Wilson. No brainer right? Stu will get 8 points from Herbert easily. Well, at half time Stu had only put up 2.48 points...due to Wilson sitting at -1.00. But, after half time adjustments it was about the 7 min mark in the 3rd quarter when Stu took the lead. Gully & Son move to 2-7 as he heads into week 10 where he will face the mighty Tree Huggers...who is looking to rebound.

OK. I have to admit - I had a bunch of hope going into Monday night. Hoping that the Jets play horribly. Hoping the Chargers defense can pull off a miracle. We all know that Howard got 33 points from the Browns Defense this week + 10 point shut out bonus so 43 total points from his defense alone. Give up right? No way!!!! I needed 26 fantasy points from Chargers Defense to win...and at the start of the 3rd quarter I was hanging in there...with 29 fantasy points...and a 3 point lead. But, we all know what happens when you are left with just a defense...the points can always go down. But, this time that didn't happen - the chargers just kept sacking Zach Wilson and the points held steady...even went up a bit. With just 4 min left I had 31 defensive fantasy points and a 5 point lead and at games end...i had the lead, the win and the high point. A Monday night Miracle!!!! What a blessing. Ok - I am not really sick and tired. Just tired. I just drove back from seeing my daughter in Lynchburg, VA today and it's a very long drive - so this one is going to be short and sweet. The Commish needs a week off!

The battel of 1-6's was not as exciting. Both of these guys are probably crying tonight because they are still doing very poorly record wise, but Kyle is crying a bit more because Gully put up 100 this week and grabbed the win. Kyle moves to 1-7. Nice win Gully.

LONG LEFT BALLERS vs MOOSES ON THE LOOSES

WEEK 7 - Wrap Up

MILK THE CLOCK STRATEGY

Special shout out to Keely Scott for forwarding this clip to me this weekend. Yes, at first I admit I was a bit confused and bothered by this coach and his actions. Then i watched it several more times and I became okay with it. Bottom line...teams have signals and just because this coach happens to be a man, and he is trying to milk himself to send a message that the team needs to slow the pace of the game (milk the clock) ...I don't think he needs to be apologizing to the American public. We have all seen the movie Meet the Parents and know that you can milk anything with nipples. Facts. Gotta love college football!

LANAKILA vs TREE HUGGERS

And just like that...the winning streak is over for Mr. Krippayne. It came when he was matched up against our current champion, Cliff Young and his marquee player Patrick Mahomes. Scott had an amazing run and now is tied with Cliff and Bebo who are also at 6-1. Scott is still in a great position 1/2 way through the season but, it does show that he is a human and just as he won his first 6 in a row, it is possible that he could lose the next 6. So, congrats to Cliff for exposing Scott and inspiring all of us to take on the giants of the league (not the new york giants of course).

FUNK GUY vs BACKDOOR BANDITS

And just like that...Dana's 4 game losing streak has come to an end! With a fantastic week...putting up 118 points, 16 of those from the Giants Defense...he was able to take down Kyle. Kyle is on a rough road for himself this season. This is now 3 losses in a row for him and puts him at very depressing 1-6 record. Kyle is usually pretty good at this game...so it's surprising that he left 23.50 points on his bench by not playing Josh Downs...especially when Jameson Williams for the Lions put up 0 points. That's a big swing. Nice win Dana! Congrats!

TuPADRE vs LONG LEFT BALLERS

I am so confused. Bebo is 6-1 while Gully is 1-6. I know I have mentioned a few times in the wrap ups, that this season for Gully has been branded - Andy & Son. They drafted together...they sat on the couch scheming and plotting, sometimes even laughing at all of us...and I just keep going back to the fact that we have never seen Gully do this poorly at Fantasy Football...is it the kid? Or has he just lost his touch? Poor draft? You know - If I am honest, I just don't care. That's for him and his son to figure out! Congrats Bebo...keep doing what you are doing!

MOOSES ON THE LOOSES vs MR AWESOME

So, this was a close one. Mitch ended up taking down Mr Awesome by just over 2 points. That means if Geno doesn't throw and INT and Eagles get 1 more sack, then boom...we are talking about how great Gabe is and how he is now on a winning streak. But, instead we are having to say that Mitch is hanging in there and continues to be a threat. Everyone, listen to me! Listen closely! When you match up against The Moose...take this shit seriously. We don't need this guy hanging around and making the playoffs. He's a dangerous individual. You don't want him playing week 14, 15 and 16. You have been warned.

Gotcha Brett. I have to admit - after the early Sunday games I was a bit worried. Cook with 16, Waller with 15, then Gibbs kept putting up points and ended up with 18 and then Koo kicked that winning field goal to make it 13 for your kicker...but then the afternoon came. Lions 2, Ekeler 4, Watson 2 and throw in the Thursday Ridley play of less that 1 point...and boom...victory! And it looks like I will grab the high point again this week! Not to brag or toot my own horn but "LET'S GO!!!!!" Thanks for a relaxing Monday night!

HOWARD vs BOOMER SOONER

And on this one...we wait. Yes Rob Howard is up 94 to 31 and still has Mattison to play but Stu has Addison, Hockenson, Akers and 49ers Defense...so we wait and watch on MNF. Predictor says Howard wins 104 to 79...but we will wait. Stu was on a great path to winning and then Addison went out...and the 49ers Defense just kept failing. Add to it - Purdy INTs and boom...Howard holds the lead and grabs the win. Sorry Stu...nice win Rob!

What a Week for NYC

What a crazy week for the New York Football Teams....Jets and Giants. With the Jets upsetting the Eagles and the Giants coming so close to taking down the Bills at home....I just kept thinking about this Fred Armisen bit about New York accents and had to post. Sorry Mitch. Sorry that I didn't bet you a bottle of Tequila on this match up. Sorry I took away your precious High Point money. Sorry your kicker only can put up 6 points. Sorry you dropped Achane and that he also got hurt and that Mostert is now starting and that he put up 36 points. Sorry that you seem to be having an amazing season but yet you are tied with me at 4-2. Sorry that you lost...actually sorry, not sorry. Fun week Mitch. Sorry.

TREE HUGGERS vs TRADE WITH ME

OMG...he's 6-0. Scott Krippayne is 6-0. With a modest week of 96 points and without getting a full game out of his precious CMC - Scott Krippayne was matched up against Brett Rutledge who with Ekeler still to play is down 42 points going into monday night - so yes, I am callling it. Brett who was riding high on his 1 game winning streak just could not get it together with disappointing performances from everyone except the Lions Defense. Scott, who didn't have a great week saw amazing numbers from Thiielen, a TD from CMC before he went out and a good outing from Dalton Schultz. Nice win Scott...will you ever lose? Next up for Scott...Cliff Young.

BOOMER SOONER vs LANAKILA

The thing with Cliff is - if you give him a little taste of winning - he wants it all the time. He is now on a 4 game winning streak, and like Krippayne, this wasn't a high scoring week for Cliff either...but he put up enough to beat Stu Jones. Stu's best player - Stefon Diggs only put up 15 points...and he needed 6.05 more to win the match up. So basically had Diggs scored a TD things would have been different. In fact, Stu would have won, I would have won a bet or two, and some needed money...and Cliff would be a loser. Thanks Stu and Stefon. Nice win Cliff - keep it up and we may have a back to back champion on our hands (hope i didn't just jinx ya).

BACKDOOR BANDITS vs HOWARD

Yes, this GIF is because Rob Howard plays the banjo. Most weekends that's what I hear from my house...banjo music from his porch. Sometimes he has an entire polka band out there. It's a really special place to live. This week Rob beat Kyle. Rob put up 124 points so he almost won high point but I had a little bit better of a week so i snag the dough. Rather than talking about what Rob did right let's spend a moment focusing on what Kyle did wrong. He just doesn't have a very good team this year. And those players that you would think would be great like Metcalf, Lamar and Etienne...well, when only one of them put up significant points - you don't win much. So Ron moves on to 4-2 and Kyle to 1-5. Nice win Rob. I am ready for Octoberfests to be over so you are not on the road and the neighborhood can hear you play again.

MR. AWESOME vs TuPADRE

Usually one of my favorite match ups of the year. Gully vs Gabe. Best Friends going at it. At this week Gabe took the stick to Gully and knocked him out early. Gully had a good week from Tua with 28 points, Derek Henry in London managed to give him 17, and Ravens Defense in London gave him 15 but Gabe just had the magic of Tyreek (27), Hall (15), Pitts (10), Waddle (11), Kicker Carlson (13) and Eagles D (10)....and who know what tonight holds with Dak...he may put up 37 and steal my $20 from me. Nice win Gabe. I am sure your friendship will carry on but you should feel better than Andy and Son.

LONG LEFT BALLERS vs FUNK GUY

Why do I feel like we are in the same place every week with Funk Guy. More times than not - it comes down to Monday night...there's a bit of hope but then it ends badly. Tonight we go in with Dana leading 80 to Bebo's 76. Dana with Cowboys defense still to play and Bebo with Keenan Allen and CeeDee Lamb. Dallas defense is always good...they are always putting pressure and getting sacks but tonight the Charges did find a way to score. In fact, the first score of the night was a Keenan Allen TD. So, when the game ended...Bebo won...Dana lost. Bebo moves to 5-1 and Dana to 1-5. Heartbreaking week for Dana - first with his Giants and now with himself.

WEEK 5 - Wrap Up

The Pursuit of a Championship

Do you ever feel like you give and give and give to your fantasy team and all they do is take from you? They take your heart, they take your Sunday's away from your friends and families and eventually they take your money. We just completed week 5 and just like Will Smith in the Pursuit of Happiness - it just tears me up when my life and my family have to suffer because of these little Millionaires, running around playing a game and yet they can't do the basic job assigned to them and get the win. If you are feeling the same - just know you are not alone. Stay strong and find a good bathroom in a train station to sleep in if you have to...just find a way to make it to the playoffs...and it will all be worth it!

MOOSES ON THE LOOSES vs TuPADRE

Yes again. Mitch won again. Thank the lord that he didn't win High Point again, but he won and in fantasy football that's all you want each week. He beat the guy that use to be feared in this league....Andy Gullahorn. But since he teamed up with his son (not saying that's the reason just stating a fact) he is 1-4. Moose is 4-1. I feel like we are in backward worlds right now. What the hell is going on? I don't really have much more to say about this wrap up. Moose has been tough to beat and that scares me because I face him in week 6. Maybe he has had all the winning he can take? Congrats Mitch.

LANAKILA vs HOWARD

Well, 161 points. Mind Blown. 10 point bonus for a defensive shut out. 23 from Mahomes, 25 from Achane, 24 from Kittle, 12 from Pacheco, 11 from his kicker and 42 from Saints D...Gentleman meet Cliff Young - our high point of the week winner a 4-1 record this season. This has to be a tough one for Rob because he had such an amazing week as well. Any other week it's a major win and likely also a high point win...but instead he goes home with nothing. See above intro and video...that's what I am talking about. Rob was robbed of a W. Cliff - congrats!

BOOMER SOONER vs BACKDOOR BANDITS

Stu texted me mid day on Sunday talking about how terrible his fantasy team is this year. And yes, he was 1-3 at the time of the call...but later that night the 49ers played the Cowboys and Purdy put up 34 fantasy points and 49ers Defense another 24...so throw in a great day from Diggs and Stu ends up with a total of 121 points and moves to 2-3. Kyle continues to struggle. He had a huge week from Etienne with 37.40 fantasy points but none of his other players seemed to care. Kyle joins a few others at 1-4. Stay strong Brother in Law.

TREE HUGGERS vs LONG LEFT BALLERS

Well this one wasn't what i expected it to be. I thought these two undefeated teams - facing each other...that it would come down to the wire with two high scoring games. But, Bebo turned in a modest 80 points and Scott finished Sunday with 72.50 with Devante Adams and Jordan Love still to play...so I am going to predict that Scott get's more than 8 points from these two guys and takes down Bebo early on Monday night. So, Scott Krippayne will go into week 6 as the only unbeaten team in the Office League. Congrats Scott...amazing year you are having. Bebo, I am sure it was a fluke and you will be back at it next week. (Update - Scott did win but it wasn't until mid 3rd quarter till he pulled it off and with all the Jordan Love INT'S he almost gave it back to Bebo.

TRADE WITH ME vs FUNK GUY

Well, this one was actually a fun one to watch! Funk Guy, sitting at 1-3 against Trade with Me also at 1-3...both wanting a win but neither one locking it down on Sunday. Dana was done going into Monday night with 79.12 and Brett is sitting at 70.94 but still has Christian Watson to play. So a mere 8.18 yards from Watson...basically 22 yards and a TD. Watson was pretty quiet until the 3rd quarter when he had a huge play that brought Watson up to 83 yards but he also had an odd 5 yard rushing loss so he needed 1 more point...which he got with a few minutes left in the game...so in what seems like a common situation for Dana - it comes down to the wire and he loses by .42 of a point. WOW! Congrats Brett...close one!

MALIK MY BALLS vs MR AWESOME

And finally, my match up of the week. I was so excited to play against Gabe this week. First off, because I like Gabe. He's a really great guy. Secondly because he has yet to win this year so I figured...here's an easy win week...that will be nice. Third, because when I logged on Thursday night to see if he had any players in - DJ Moore was on his bench and he already had like 24 points and ended up with 51. So, again I am thinking...winner winner...dogged a bullet...free win. Fast forward to later on Sunday and all is going to plan until Breece Hall broke out for 177 yards and a TD and put up 30 points. I expected Tyreek to go off ...but a JET putting up huge points? Come on now! So as we go into Monday night...I am done and have 123.36. Gabe is sitting at 101.32 but has Josh Jacobs and Daniel Carlson (kicker). So 22.04 points between these two. By the start of the 4th quarter Jacobs ran in a TD and cut the margin to 5. All i can do is sit and watch the game slip away and slowly it does. Then with just 2 min left - Gabe's kicker Carlson missed a 52 yarder - it hit the upright and bounced out...which would have given him the win. I escaped barely and Gabe moves to 0-5. Thanks Gabe for being such a good friend and letting me win!

WEEK 4 - Wrap Up

THE GOLDEN BACHELOR

Listen. We are in week 4. There are some of you in this league who have been waiting all year for football to start and more importantly for fantasy football to start but you are having a rough season. You are feeling a bit like you are already ready for the season to be over. If that's the case...I want to encourage you to maybe take a few weeks off from watching the games. Find another show. Maybe instead of being a football fan - you are now a "Golden Bachelor" guy. No, I am not talking about Brett Rutledge...I am talking about the show on ABC. Personally, I have not seen it yet but I am posting a clip above for those of you who might find it interesting. For those that are still interested in football...maybe this wrap up will give you some insight on how to prepare for the weeks ahead.

Well here we go again. Brett loses. I am sure it's because we are not a 1/2 ppr league but whatever it is he is now 1-3. Cliff had a great week putting up 119 points even with Mahomes throwing two INT's and laying down on the 1 yard line. He didn't need it - he won without those bonus points. A big shoutout to Cliff for picking up Achane on the waiver wire and actually playing him. He put up 29, the most of any player on his team. Great job Cliff. Brett, I don't what to say except the obvious...maybe make some trades?

BACKDOOR BANDITS vs MR AWESOME

Kyle won! Kyle actually won! He only put up 83 points....but after starting the year off with 3 losses in a row he grabs one and begins his climb back into relevancy. And of course with every winner there is a loser...and this week that loser is Gabe Scott. Yes, that means Gabe moves to 0-4. Is that Gabe's fault? Well, yes, kind of. Bottom line, he didn't believe in DJ Moore and the Chicago Bears. If he would have played DJ instead of Rashid Shaheed...then tonight, he would be that little girl in the GIF above. But, he didn't...probably because of his bias against the Bears from being brainwashed his whole life into thinking the Lions are good and the Bears are bad...but whatever it was - he lost. NIce win Kyle. I BELIEVE.

BOOMER SOONER vs TREE HUGGERS

Do we really think Scott Krippayne is shocked? He won again. He won with 2 players still to play on MNF. Will anyone beat him? Stu Jones tried but came up way short. He even had 35 from Diggs and 25 From Herbert and couldn't get it done. Sorry Stu. You did all you could do...it just wasn't enough. But, you know what this means. Next week Scott Krippayne who is 4-0...plays Bebo Norman who also is 4-0 - in an epic battle to determine who remains undefeated through week 5. Should be an amazing match up!

FUNK GUY vs MOOSES ON THE LOOSES

Well well well. Dana Cappillino going into MNF with the lead and the high point. Mitch White who loves to take that free $20 whenever he can - still has Seahawk Defense to play but he will need just over 14 points to steal the win and potentially the high point. As always - Mitch started the night with a free 20 points...and as we all expect...those numbers will go down right? Well, no...not when the defense is playing Dana's favorite team - the New York Giants. Sacks, Fumbles, INTS galore...and then a pick 6 when Giants were just ready to score and boom just like that Dana's great week ends up being a loss. So for a 3rd time in 4 weeks Mitch White takes the high point and the win.

HOWARD vs TuPADRE

Well, the final match up of the night was close when it started and stay close all night. TuPadre had a small lead and both guys had a running back yet to play. Rob with Seattle's Kenneth Walker III and Gully and Son with Matt Breida on the Giants. It all pointed to a slugfest on Monday night to determine the winner but as the night went on Rob creeped toward a win...with a TD from Walker III and then finally late in the 4th Quarter a break out run that put him in the lead and taking the win. Sorry Gully and son...what a brutal beatdown to have to watch that horrible game and end up losing in the final minutes. Congrats to Rob Howard.

WEEK 3 - Wrap Up

KELCE / SWIFT - Why?

So the big news in the NFL this week was obviously are Kelce and Taylor real? She went to the game. She sat next to his mom. They drove off together in a "very orchestrated" convertible. So, yeah they must be together. But why? Is it a marketing plan put together by the Pfizer people so that Taylor's fan base will want to listen to Kelce on the non-stop commercial urging us all to get the covid vaccine and the flu shot at the same time? Is it to keep Taylor's name out there for the SuperBowl half time show so when she does it - football fans love her? Are is it as simple as Taylor wanting to "feel tiny" like SNL set up in the video above? Honestly, I don't know. But, it's gonna be fun to watch and find out! Now, on to week 3 wrap ups!

TuPADRE vs TRADE WITH ME

Hey! TuPadre figured out how to load the gun! Boom! Just like that in week 3 they come away with a quick win against Trade with Me. Poor Brett. Loses Survivor. Only puts up 51 points total from his team. I guess it's better than losing by .50 of a point. Gully had great performances this week from Watson, Moss (zack not randy), Deebo, and Tyler Bass. Going into Monday night he still has Higgins to play. Probably won't get high point but week 3 goes down as a win for TuPadre and Son. Nice Win Gully! Congrats. Brett moves to 1-2.

MR AWESOME vs TREE HUGGERS

What else can be said. Scott Krippayne is finding Fantasy Football EASY this season. 3-0 start and came in this week with not only the high point of the week with 156.76 but also the high point of the season! I am just glad to not have to send it to the Moose! Nice win Scott! Devante with 34, Bills D with 36 (almost had a shut out and would have bumped it up to 46), hell even his kicker had 18 and I don't think he picked him up in round 8. NICE! Now, where there is a winner there is a loser...and once again that loser is Gabe Scott. Gabe moves to 0-3. I am not going to dig into the details. He just scored less than Scott...so he loses. Sorry Gabe. Next week you face Kyle Allmendinger who used up all his points this week so you have a good shot!

Well, this sucks. Kyle is done for the week...finishing with 131. I am down 50 points with 4 to play on the two MNF games (Mixon, Evans, Atwell and Bengals Defense). 50 divided by 4 is 12.5 points per player. That's what I have to accomplish. Kyle had a great week from Lamar (33), Jefferson (25), Patriots D (17) and really had double digit performances from everyone but Brandin Cooks so if I can pull out the win it will be epic. I chose this GIF because whatever happens that will by my expression. At half time of the Bengals/Rams game it all looks promising...I am down 10...but time is running out for Evans who already has a dropped TD. Also had a TD from Atwell - taken away cause his heal touched the out of bounds line...and so 5 min left in the game i am down 1.06. At the two min warning I am up by .54 - but with a last min Atwell TD - I won 135 to 131. Shout out to Kyle for being a cool competitor this week. Fun Win for me - hard loss for him.

MOOSES ON THE LOOSES vs HOWARD

So this one is a crazy match up. Moose who is currently undefeated has 99.78 but has one of the most explosive rookie WR's in the game yet to play - Puka Nacua. Howard has 65.4 points going into the Monday night matchups but has 5 yet to play - Kyren Williams, Chase, Goedert, Swift and kicker for the Bengal - McPhearson. I am thinking with it being the NFL week of Taylor Swift - DeAndre Swift might have a big night (which he did) and help Howard get this to a close game with the Moose by nights end. A half time update...Nacua has been held to 35 yards and Howard has taken the lead by 1 point. But as the game went on - and Jamaar Chase got on fire - Howard could not be caught. Rob Howard takes away the perfect season from the Moose! Great job Rob. Congrats. What a night!

FUNK GUY vs LANAKILA

This one should be a no brainer but I can see where Funk Guy might be a bit nervous. It was a close one and even though Hurts put up 21 and had a great game, the kicker put up 11! So Funk Guy loses in another very close one. LONG LEFT BALLERS vs BOOMER SOONER

Well, I am not going to post what comes up when I search the GIF using the word "Tight"...as in - it's going to be a tight game. The night started out - with Stu with 92 and Bebo with 91. Stu has Rachaad White and Bebo with DeVonta Smith. 1 point difference. 1 player left for each guy. This one really didn't move much. By the end of the Eagles game...Stu only had 4 points from White but Bebo still had Higbee playing in the LA game and Higbee already put up 5 so, Bebo clinched early in the night. Bebo Norman, like Scott Krippayne is undefeated after week 3. Stu moves to 1-2. Great game guys.

WEEK 2 - Wrap Up

LIFE IS A GAMBLE!!!!

My daughter Caroline recently turned 21. For her birthday I got her a FanDuel account with $100 in it. She thought it was funny but really had no desire to bet anything. Then, yesterday she called and said "I think that I want to bet on the Sunday Night game." I said "great I am happy to walk you through it - who do you want to bet on?" She said, "I want the dolphins to win...Moneyline right?" So I showed her what to push and how to do it and she put $10 on it. Later that night - she started texting me asking if she should "cashout" or "let it ride" and decided to stay in till the end. Well, it got a little scary at the end and she sent me this video (above) when the patriots almost found a way to keep the game going and potentially tie it up. I love how much she got into it - after just 1 bet and the potential of a $8 profit. Also, how she was trying to be quiet because her roommates were sleeping but she was up - watching the game! Congrats to Caroline on making her first $8 off the NFL. Two games tonight so who knows how much she will end up with! Now on to the wrap up!

MALIK MY BALLS vs BOOMER SOONER

Yes this was me Sunday night after Mostert ran in for his second TD and got his 100 yard bonus to shut the door on Boomer Sooner's chance at victory. And with Jamaal Williams still to play on MNF I am hoping I can squeak out a High Point win, stealing it from Mitch. Do I venmo myself the $20? Oh well...it was a good week My Balls...but I have to say that Stu put up a good fight...with 26 from Herbert, 16 from White, 14 from Wilson, and starting things off on Thursday night with 18 from Hockenson and 13 from Addison. Solid week with 109 but not a win. Good game Stu...it's good to know I have a team that can win! Update on this wrap up...Williams went out of the game with a hamstring 7 yards short of what I needed for high point...so I am winner and a loser all in the same night. Moose gets the high point.

LANAKILA vs MOOSES ON THE LOOSES

Yes, The Moose is starting to show off! Two wins in a row? Two high scoring weeks? What is happening. Something has to happen to this team. An injury of a star...maybe Mitch forgets his password...something! We cannot have a undefeated Moose - that will be very difficult to deal with. Next week he faces Howard so let's all hope Howard figures his shit out and find a way to give Mitch his first loss. Lanakila was not up for the task. Obviously very busy and distracted he left Robinson and Mims on his bench and played Pittman and Olave. Cliff, we need your attention to this league. You are a defending champion...act like one! I hate that I have to even type this but - Congrats Mitch...nice win!

TRADE WITH ME vs HOWARD

Gotta be how HOWARD was feeling after losing to the 0-1 Trade with Me who put up less than 100 points. What can he do...it was just one of those weeks. When Chase puts up 3 and Mattison still doesn't understand that he is the lead back in Minnesota - you are gonna have weeks where you can barely hit 70 points. Brett showed up with an incredible come back by Danny Dimes with 34 and a great week from James Cook (Buff) -20 pts...throw in 13 from a YoungHoe...and it's a winning week. Nice win Brett...Let's see if you can keep it going next week when you take on Gully and Sons.

TREE HUGGERS vs BACKDOOR BANDITS

What is going on in Seattle? Scotty K putting together another win to move to 2-0. This week he took advantage of Kyle Allmendinger having a pretty good week but not good enough. Right time, right place for Scott K? Or is he for real this year? He does have CMC, James Conner, Devonte Adams and even though Metcalf didn't throw up a ton of points he is a force for sure. Kyle left it all up to Miles Sanders on MNF to pull it out. He just needed 38.57 to do it which seems like a tall order - so I am going to call it as Scott wins. Congrats Scott - wonderful start to the season.

TuPADRE vs FUNK GUY

The first of our two "it comes down to MNF" match ups is Gully vs Dana. This was started out close with Dana leading with 102 and Gully and Son just behind at 98. Gully with Chubb and Freiermuth (TE Pittsburgh) and Dana with all of his chips left in hands of Najee Harris. At least all of these were in the same MNF game since we have two tonight. Bad news for Gully early on as Chubb went out ...carried off on the cart not to return and once I saw the footage - he is out for a long time (prayers for Chubb and the Gullahorns season)...so it quickly shifted to Najee against this guy Freiermuth. Najee the first half had a grand total of 4 rushing yards....but he found some life at the end of the 3rd quarter and it put Dana over for the win. After last weeks last minute loss it's nice to see Dana come back in Week 2. Congrats Dana and just like that Gully and Son are 0-2.

MR AWESOME vs LONG LEFT BALLERS

Not really sure how the GIF applies to this match up - but it had to be used! LOL. What can I say about Gabe vs Bebo? I feel like Bebo wins this...he is already up 12 going into the night. He still has Panthers Defense - who put up 8 last week...so not bad...and Gabe has Shaheed (WR for New Orleans) still to play who did put up 14 in week one - so I guess if Bebo's defense puts up low low numbers and Gabe's WR goes off it's possible for Gabe to win. Is anyone really reading this segment or just watching the Pool Gif....I mean so good! Anyway - I will update in a few hours on what happens!

And I was right...Bebo takes the win. Sorry Gabe...0-2 is no way to start but I BELIEVE!

SURVIVOR

We say goodbye to Gabe and Cliff who both picked the Lions in week 2. Dana and Kyle almost got the axe with the Giants vs Cardinals game - but luck prevailed and they Giants squeaked out a win. 9 remain on the Island. Good Luck everyone.

WEEK 1 - Wrap Up

HANG IN THERE!!!!

Guys, welcome to week 1 of the 2023 season! It's going to be a great year...I can feel it! Just like the video above..we are going to spend the next 14 weeks finding out who can hang on and make it to the playoffs and then...survive all the way to the championship game. I know some of you take fantasy football more serious than others. Personally, I feel those that don't spend at least 6 hours a week on fantasy strategy and team maintenance don't deserve a place in the final 3 weeks but that's not up to me. If it were up to me I would dedicate my entire week 24/7 to this shit. But, I have bills to pay and responsibilities, so I have to limit it to 20-24 hours a week. Anyway, good luck to everyone...I'm so glad we are back!

BACKDOOR BANDITS vs LONG LEFT BALLERS

Pretty sure on this one Kyle was hoping for more than 6.56 points out of his QB, Lamar Jackson...but he also probably didn't count on Nick Folk (Bebo's Titan Kicker) throwing up 18. Whatever the expectations were - this was the first match up of the year to end on Sunday and Bebo took the win 86 to 77. Knowing Kyle he will say his internet connection was funky and he meant to put Derek Carr in for Lamar and blame the whole loss on me...but no matter what is said or not said - Bebo get's the W and Kyle get's the L. Nice win Bebo...1-0 has to feel pretty good for a guy who still owes his fantasy fees.

HOWARD vs FUNK GUY

Ummm...Funk Guy beat Howard. Also, Funk Guy only had 62.90 points. WHAAAAAT? Things that contributed to Dana's win and Howard's loss? Well for Howard it was Joe Burrow with 3.18 points, Dallas Goedert with ZERO, Chase with 4.10 and Swift with .30. Pretty rough first week. For Dana, the Jacksonville Jaguars putting up 15 and Jalen Hurts squeaking out 14.50 was enough for him to put together a winning week. Congrats Dana. It's always good to beat a 3 time champion to start out the season.

LANAKILA vs TuPADRE

In the first game for the new Gullahorn "father/son" collaboration era - Lanakila said "No. Two is not better than 1 returning champion". Going into the night - Cliff was finished and had 103.44. The Gullahorns had 89.56 and Kicker Tyler Bass still to play...so they needed 14 from their kicker. Why were they in this position? Because Higgins (WR Cincinnati) decided to not get any points because the Bengals played like ass on Sunday and costs the commissioner $25 on fanduel. But, nonetheless - on Monday night - the Gully's did have a chance and came very close...they just came up a wee bit short. Congrats Cliff...could this be a back to back season with the trophy?

MOOSES ON THE LOOSES vs TRADE WITH ME

Just what everyone wanted to see...the Moose grabbing a win in week 1. Brett, what the hell! We all had such high hopes for you. You had one job - to beat Mitch and you let us all down! Personally, I feel like Mitch is still pissed about not getting his way on the PPR or 1/2 PPR or whatever he was selling and so now he is going to go off and have a 13 game winning streak (losing to Malik my Balls of course). Brett had a rough go of it from Daniel Jones, Renfrow, Waller and Giants Defense...while the Moose killed it with the nicest QB in the league Kirk Cousins, Aaron Jones, Tony Pollard and David Montgomery. Nice win Mitch. Going into MNF you do have high point - and if it hits I will pay out immediately!

BOOMER SOONER vs MR AWESOME

Well, this one was a bit of a nail biter. Gabe, aka Mr Awesome had his score locked in at 101.52 - no more players to play. Stu Jones only had 65.22 but had Dalvin Cook, Garrett Wilson and Stefon Diggs to play in the MNF match up. So he needed 36.3 from 3 pretty great players. Projections had Stu only putting up 93 points but as it is with MNF anything can happen. As the night went on...it became more and more obvious that without Aaron Rodgers - Wilson and Cook were not going to be able to help Stu enough. But thanks to overtime...Stu pulled it out by less than 1 point! .20 margin...he wins. Sorry Gabe...I guess your autodraft mid draft wasn't the play :)

MALIK MY BALLS vs TREE HUGGERS

And, yes...i found myself just trying to stay alive in week 1 on Monday Night. With a new name and a new team...I worked so hard to make sure I had the right line up....but in the minutes leading up to the first game - I made a big mistake by changing my line up. I pulled Mostert and put in Deon Jackson (INDY RB) because the "experts" said he was going to be the lone back and get tons of carries. They were right he did get a ton of carries, but he fumbled most of them and ended up with negative points. Going into MNF - Tree Huggers was up 12 points with Bills Defense still to play. I had Josh Allen left and was just hoping that he showed up and had an epic night...but he really didn't. Throwing 3 interceptions and not looking like the dominating Josh Allen of the past...coupled with Aaron Rodgers going down....and the Jets not scoring...the Bills Defense held their points and I just couldn't catch Scott. I lose! It's sucks. But of course I am happy for Scott. Of course I am.

First Cheerleader of the year is Melissa from the 49ers. She is a 6 year veteran to the squad...so she knows what the hell she is doing. When she shows up on game day she isn't still trying to learn her routines if you know what I mean.
