Hello y'all. Sorry for being inactive for a while, I got into too many other things irl, but I'm back now

Anyways so back to where we were last time, I opened the submissions for the colours era music tournament, so here's an updated rule post

In-game music from Sonic games released 2010 to 2019, but if we get too many submissions for the earlier 2010s, I'll change the cut-off point to 2014 or 2015, while the rest of the submissions will be for the tournament after this one

new music from re-releases of this time are allowed, if there are any (like the mobile versions of the classic games)

but new music of re-releases that are later (colors ultimate), aren't allowed

remixes and covers of music from past games are allowed since that's pretty much Generations entire soundtrack

also allowed are unlockable music, as long as that specific version of the song isn't taken straight from a past game

you can submit as much as you want

Note for the submission form: If you decide to answer the question about where it plays, please be specific. If it's the main theme, tell me if it plays in the title screen or credits or opening and whatnot. One example is enough if it plays in many different places.

For sonic generations is only the modern versions allowed for the tournament? Since most of the music is reused from older games

most if not all of generations are allowed since they are remixes

im not too sure if there are songs in the soundtrack that are straight up reused without sounding different, but if there are i guess they wouldnt be allowed

im not actually sure if green hill zone and chemical plant zone act 1 are actual remixes or if it was originally composed that way, but they are of noticably higher sound quality than the original games, so they count as remixes

to clarify for one of the submitters, the remixes and covers actually have to be in the game. its not for fanmade stuff. the rule means literally any song from generations is allowed but it has to be a new remix for the game and not a reused one

#so siivagunner isnt allowed though since the og was submitted anyways i might replace the video once if you want #but people will still have to vote for the original

while there are a lot of good songs in this era, im not too sure if theres enough that are popular to fill out the size of a usual tournament
