The AMAs have just become the most pivotal awards ceremony of the decade. That show will be a telling moment in the industry and for a very important reason. You are going to have a musician standing on that stage, accepting the highest honor of Artist of the Decade. You are going to have the very first female musician in the history of the AMAs accepting this honor and title. She is going to be standing on that stage, in a room with all of the biggest names in the music industry watching, listening. And she is being blackmailed, silenced into not performing her own music, music that she has created, because of two power hungry, controlling men. She has worked tirelessly, and put so much dedication and time into her craft over the last 13 years, and has EARNED the right to be called Artist of the Decade, only to be silenced because again, two men are terrified of letting her be completely free.Ā
Make no mistake. The AMAs have just become the most important moment for Taylor Swift and the music industry. And she will speak up. And the music industry better be fucking listening when she takes that stage.

Vanessa and I have been fans of @taylorswift the very beginning. I remember I was 10 years old and a friend asked me if I had ever heard a song called "Teardrops On My Guitar" and they played it for me on our school playground. I went home and bought all of her singles on iTunes, then on my next trip to Sam's Club I bought her debut album. That was just the beginning. Since then we've grown and changed with Taylor's music being the soundtrack of our lives. Taylor inspired me to learn guitar in 8th grade (the first song I ever learned and performed was "Forever & Always) and I now have a BA in Music Technology, constantly inspired by an unstoppable woman in all areas of the music industry. The first song Vanessa ever performed live on guitar was "Ours" when she was in middle school. Vanessa and I have bonded over our shared love for Taylor and her art, and so we decided to do something a little crazy. "Long Live" is a widely loved song in our community and has always meant a lot to us, being in part written for her fans. We wanted a piece of Taylor and the influence she's had in our lives with us forever. These tattoos will be a constant reminder of all the times we danced alone in our rooms or with thousands of others at one of her shows, sang (or screamed) the words of her songs in the car, cried to a song that somehow perfectly matched what we were going through or how we were feeling, or when a song gave us the confidence to handle a difficult situation. Here's to all the memories and the many more to come - "Long Live all the magic we made, and bring on all the pretenders, one day we will be remembered." - Abby
