Dispatches from the Solidarity Encampment at Columbia University
https://crimethinc.com/Columbia2024
In this in-depth report, participants offer a blow-by-blow account of the events at Columbia, appraising the tactics that the demonstrators have employed and the challenges that they face.
Mohammed is an engineer and founded the Gazan 3D printing company, Tashkeel3D. His contributions to the medical sector in Gaza have saved so many lives in light of Israel not allowing medical parts and equipment to enter Gaza during the years of blockade.
And right now he is under fire in the north of Gaza while his family is in the south. He needs help saving his life and the lives of his family as he is raising funds to get his family across the Rafah border.
There is no possible reality where this is in any way capable of being passed off as self-defense. It was never self-defense. It is, and always has been, a genocide.
Crying babies. Crying babies. This is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, meant to draw out and kill civilians while also making it far more difficult to locate and aid children who are trapped or alone.
If you have money to spare, please consider donating to some of the fundraisers on Operation Olive Branch to help people escape this genocide.
Day 200. This post is for the burnt out activists. There is hope. Don’t let them convince you otherwise. “It starts with Gaza.” from Lets Talk Palestine, 23/Apr/2024:
Part of the George Washington University student encampment has been sectioned off and those inside are not allowed to leave; they are being threatened with arrest and interim suspension. There are multiple people menstruating and there is only one bathroom tent. They are allowing through scab members of the GWU newspaper, but not medics. There is only one medic that is stuck inside.
Please consider donating if you can. If you’re in the area, there’s also other things you can do. Follow @dmvpym on instagram for updates
Dr. Areej, Dr. Ahmad, and their child Sarra are a Gazan family who have been suffering from displacement, hunger, and lack of medical care throughout the genocide. Along with three other members of their family — Dr. Areej's mother and Dr. Ahmad's mother and father — they are seeking to evacuate to Egypt.
Please donate what you can and share. Donations have been slow — as of March 10, they have not yet raised even $2000. Can we try to raise at least $1000 in the next few days?
