Valentine’s Day Makeup Inspiration: Alex Gonzaga’s fuchsia Lips

Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, here’s another makeup look that you can sport. This makeup look inspired by Alex Gonzaga’s pictorial for her book, Dear Alex, Break na kami Paano? Love, Catherine. So to all the individuals there who are single, single again, and single by choice, this makeup tutorial is for you.

How to fill your eyebrows just like a celebrity’s

For today, I practiced how to do celebrity eyebrows. When looking for an eyebrow inspiration, I simply check out Makeup Artists’ instagram account. Most of the time, I get my makeup inspiration from Toni Gonzaga. And for whereabouts planned, I get inspirations from other celebrities just like Alex Gonzaga, Megan Young, and other celebrities who has makeup looks I want to sport. Now, I am not sure if how do you want your eyebrows to look like and what form of eyebrow makeup item you are used to. According to the book, Make Up : Your Life Guide to Beauty , Style and Success - Online and Off by Michelle Phan, If you want softer, feathery brows, Use eyebrow powder. And if you want your eyebrows to look sharp, use eyebrow pencil.

1. In filling your eyebrows, start lining the bottom of your eyebrows whether you are using pencil or powder. 2. Fill in some color on the hairs following the direction of your eyebrow hairs. 3. Line the top of your eyebrows meeting the arch. 4. If you are using an eyebrow mascara, just follow step number 2. 5.To keep the hairs in place and spread the color, brush them using an eyebrow brush or a spoolie.

The products I used in doing my eyebrows in two ways are L’oreal Brow Artist (first picture) and Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes in Brunette (second picture).

So, I was scrolling down on my Instagram account on popular photos on the Search tab. Then, I saw a picture of my mascara and to my surprise it’s from Benefit. From there, I started searching on Google about this mascara. I will feel extremely excited if Benefit Cosmetics Philippines will be posting that soon, they will launch this product.

Cinderella x MAC collaboration

As I mentioned before, MAC Maleficent in True Love’s Kiss Lipstick was the first ever expensive makeup I bought for myself. Disney collaborating with cosmetic brands is always something to watch out for. I wish I can still have the opportunity to travel to California to visit Disneyland and aside from having fun and feel like a kid again, I would buy Beautifully Disney cosmetics to doll up my little cousins

Tarte is a cosmetic brand with products that are made with natural ingredients making it good for the skin to prevent the worry of breakouts and allergies while looking glamorous. Most of their products lasts in the skin for 12 hours ; which is good so that you won't keep on retouching after every hour.   Maureen Kelly, the founder of Tarte, is also a beauty addict just like me. Sad but true, makeup destroys the skin because they are made of chemicals. With that, she wants us to shop smart when it comes to cosmetics by making ingredients important to her. I'm just so obsessed with the tartelette palette which is very useful because it can be used as an eyeshadow, contour, highlight and eyebrow color.

Anastasia Beverly Hills

When it comes to eyebrows, Anastasia Beverly Hills is one of the best. Especially with their Beauty Express for the Brows and Eyes which includes a Brow Wax Cream, Brow Color, Eyeshadow and Brow Stencils, I like it because it allows me to save money especially if I am not in the mood to drop by a brow bar.

Shopping in New York Going to New York is the best part of my vacation in the United States with my family. Aside from visiting their tourist attractions such as the Central Park, the Empire State Building, the Rockefeller , etc. , Shopping in New York is heaven because most of the big stores are located there. The best thing about it is, there are a lot of great choices in store for you. I am a makeup enthusiast so my favorite stores when it comes to makeup is Macy's and Sephora. If my favorite item is not available in one store, I go to the other. Being a makeup enthusiast, I have to be somehow familiar with the brands and their products. Aside from the global cosmetic brands that are sold here in here in the Philippine market, having the opportunity to travel in New York is the time for me to be familiar with the other American brands such as Tarte, Too Faced, Anastasia Beverly Hills and Bare Minerals. Knowing that I have little cousins who are big fans of Frozen and other Disney characters, I want to style them by knowing what's in their closet so that I will be able to pair their clothes for them to look good and much better If I have the chance to go with them to Disney Store and let them choose what they want.

Makeup Hack: Kendall Jenner’s Flawless Face Makeup

This makeup look is perfect for any occasion. Especially when we want to look our best because the best revenge of all aside from success is being beautiful. I am not going to specify a brand of any makeup product that you’ll be needing since we don’t have the same skin type and I am not sure if which brands and types of makeup products you’re used to.

Okay, to achieve Kendall Jenner’s flawless makeup look, You’ll be needing:

2 foundations (your skintone and 1 Shade lighter than your skintone) Concealer Powder Blush

Steps: 1. Before doing your face makeup, Wash your face with a facial foam. Then apply toner and moisturizer. Allow the moisturizer to set for 10-15 seconds. Lastly, Protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays by applying sunscreen.

2. Once you’re done with your skincare routine, it’s time for you to start tour makeup by applying small amounts of foundation at the back of your hand (one shade at a time) . Using your foundation brush/sponge/beauty blender/ your fingers, blend them all over your face gently.

3. Then conceal your under eyes and/or some areas that needs special care with a concealer then apply heavy powder on the concealed areas.

4. Set your face with powder along the T-zone area (forehead, nose,chin) and a few on your cheeks.

5. Lastly, apply blush on the apples of your cheeks.

Love for Brows with Benefit part 2

For today, I went to a benefit brow bar to have my eyebrows done because I need to have beautiful brows everytime I am going to work on another tutorial.

These are the plasters that the brow experts used when performing the brow wax procedures. They removed plenty of hairs that make my brows unruly and these makes my eyebrows feel itchy after. Lol.
