It wasn’t as though it was something Charlie needed, but getting a job helped her find the escape she craved from her parents and brother, even. She loved him, and them or she convinced herself she did, they were here parents after all, she had to. But that didn’t mean, she didn’t need Charlie time, so with little experience, she landed a gig at Hogs Head, sure to only pick up shifts that would ensure her parents would never find out. So, after her shift, she quietly entered the manor, not expecting anyone to be up, Charlie jumped as eyes landed on a clearly angered Thor. “ I didn’t think anyone would be up at this hour, what happened?” Charlie asked as she set her bag down, concern in her voice, she knew better than to take her brother’s frustrations at their parents to heart.

“I wasn’t even supposed to be here this late, but uh,” Thor swallowed, “I just was having a conversation with our father. Everything’s fine.” As soon as the words left his lips, Thor knew how stupid he sounded. Noting the concern in her voice, Thor sighed, running his hands through his hair as he sat down on the bench outside their family home. “Just the usual. Dad wanted me to do something awful, I refused and well, you know what happens next.” Thor winced slightly, “Oh, and you know, I’m not ‘wooing’ Hestia fast enough. Apparently if I don’t start getting this betrothal moving quicker, he’s going to take action. Whatever that means.”

She had been waiting for the release of that book for a while, and so, first thing that morning, Irma made her way to the nearest library to get it. She was just walking out, the book tightly clutched in her arms, when she collided with someone. She only let out a hiss towards the other, never really one to apologize or to get mad. She wasn’t even one to really talk to people in general. But seeing the man in front of her caused a frown to appear on her face. “I know you. You were a student a few years ago.” And if she was correct, she hated him.

Thor winced as he collided with another, “I’m sorry-” He began, before frowning slightly. “A fair few, yeah. Oh!” His eyes widened slightly as he realised who she was. “I-uh, I should probably apologise. I was kinda a nightmare in school...”

Okay so I absolutely adore to play the “evil” character with like TONNES of depth, because I can’t write evil for the sake of being evil, but i also love that part of thor?? he’s like an ogre, he has layers

he has claustrophobia, which can lead to panic attacks.

✔ what do you think of the fandom’s general interpretation of your character?

i’ve not seen many interpretations of thorfinn rowle (even just under the name rowle) but i feel he’s usually just played as this horrible dude that’s just awful for the sake of it??

No, she didn’t need the shower. Hestia really just came to ask him a question, it was that simple. But when he walked in, she couldn’t help her eyes from eyeing down his shirtless torso. There were scars, but she thought they looked good. At least on him, not everyone could pull off scars. “I can see that.” She said, her voice nearly a murmur. It was also around that time she realized she was pretty much staring, and finally looked up. “I was just wondering if you were going out, or if you’re eating here. I was about to start making dinner.”

Why was she staring at him? Was she checking him out? Fuck, did she mean to do that? A billion questions raced through his mind as he simply just stood there, blinking. Snapping back to reality and clearing his throat, he shrugged lamely. “Uh, I had no plans,” No, he should most definitely be avoiding her. They both didn’t want this marriage, it’d be easier than way, right? “I can uh go out if you want me to, or I can stay. If you’d prefer, it’s up to you.” Thor internally cringed as he spoke, he was supposed to be calm and collected, and he was stuttering like an awkward teenager. And he was still pretty much naked. Shit. “I should probably put on clothes, so you can leave, or turn around. Unless you’d prefer to watch,” Did he really just say that? At least it came out cocky, and she’d probably scoff at him and leave.

I guess you could say that adulthood really changes you.” Even if they could sidetrack from the fact that Lorcan had been an adult for longer than most people had been alive. For all intents and purposes though, this conversation with Thorfinn would have to be under the guise of a farce. Reconnecting with old friends was so difficult otherwise.

“You, changing? I’ll believe it when I see it,” Thor scoffed before chewing on his bottom lip. “In anyway, it’s good to see you again. Wanna get a drink, or something? I could use several.”

Antonin looked rather nervous, walking back and forth, and pulling his sleeve down constantly, as if trying to hide something. Which, he kind of was, just in case anyone walked by and saw it. “I’m sorry, I don’t think I can do it.” He said once he finally stopped walking. “I don’t even understand why we’re supposed to do it.”

“They’re not exactly giving us a choice, Antonin.” Thor’s eyes rolled skyward before he sighed. “Look, if I’ve learned anything it’s to just shut up and do as we’re told and not ask questions. It’s far easier that way.”

After a particular nasty confrontation with his parents, Thor let the door slam behind him, eyes closing as he took a deep, shaky breath. “Fuck,” he cursed, slamming his fist against the post in anger. Hearing someone come up behind him, Thor whipped around. “I already told- Oh, Charlie.” His words faltering as he realised it wasn’t his parents. “I didn’t realise you were here.”

Stepping from the shower, Thor wrapped a towel around his waist, a sigh escaping his lips as he stared at his reflection in the bathroom mirror. A few scars littered his body, constantly reminding Thor that he shouldn’t disobey his parents. Which is how he ended up engaged to a woman he barely knows. Upon leaving the bathroom, he almost collides with said woman, Hestia, stopping just before he did so. “Uh, bathroom’s free?” He offered lamely with a shrug, clearing his throat, feeling FAR too exposed.

he also realised he was bisexual at one point, but that was squashed after his parents found out 

they didnt think it was seemly so he hides it
